Okay, so the off season officially begins now that the Grey Cup is over. Lots of topics for discussion in the months to come with the Bombers & the League. A new CBA needs to be negotiated sooner rather than later.  Will there be an eventual agreement or a lockout? How much will the salary cap go up? Randy Ambrosie is on record that wants the cap to significantly go up so that is a positive.  Will Bo Levi Mitchell sign with an NFL or perhaps another CFL team? What about Mike Reilly & Trevor Harris who are also free agents? There's a new start up league called the  AAFL & there are legit concerns that it'll draw star CFL players away or hamper free agent signings with CFL teams. Coaching changes in BC & Toronto. The continuing evolving story of the expansion Halifax Schooners & possible exhibition games in Mexico.

Actually...Edmonton's facilities and training/therapy/players amenities/locker room are top notch world class and actually are better than many NFL teams and rival some of the top notch ones...so that statement is totally false on the Edmonton aspect.

Mosaic is sure shinier and newer, but not heads and shoulders above Edmonton...Winnipeg and B.C..Whom also have top notch player amenities..

BC Place was reno'd less than 10 years ago. It's nice too.

Sources say #Riders Head Coach Chris Jones has interviewed today with the Cleveland Browns & they are hiring him in a defensive capacity. Details to come. Jones had an NFL out clause in his #CFL contract.

As funny as it is to see the Riders in turmoil, I'm concerned that Jonesy leaving means the Riders just got better. I was kinda hoping they were going to tie themselves to his crazy for awhile longer and he could really run 'em into the ground but good...

Haha signs the extension leaves the next week. This day has been great.

It's going to be hard to get Jefferson to re-sign if they don't get things sorted quickly. I assumed with the contract Bighill got and having to play in Regina, that they would have to pay top dollar but now that's a guarantee.

The irony in this is delicious: After today's Bighill signing, one Rider fan posted that all the Bombers need now is to get a new GM, HC and QB.
