WPG. Own thread coming soon.

CAL . How much do you tinker if at all? But somethin aint right here

EDM. Lots of room for improvement.  Reilly another year older

SSK. Canadas team has lots of FAs, Carter leaving. Huge question marks at QB

BC. Lots of smoke but less flame than grease fire in MTL. Whole new coaching staff at least

TOR. Turning point to build on or just a nice story like OTT last year?

HAM. Soap opera . Key FAs looming. Collaros. Manziel thing.

I'd take LeFevour over Durant or Glenn based solely on their sideline demeanor. Durant Glenn LeFevour

Edmonton re-signed Van, after previously doing the same with Gable and White. Are they going to a 3 running back formation?

All guys that have missed many games due to injury.  See who’s still healthy by game 1.

Wow it's going to be a good night

Yeah, after what happened to Edmonton last year, having three starting-calibre import tailbacks in their camp is not such a bad idea.

Ol Kavis claiming they didn't over pay for any player..and all players had market value

Well considering Westerman signed for 40k more than the next closest...isn't that over paying?...should they not have just matched...or been "slightly" over

Hard to know who's the bigger idiot as GMs go: Kavis or Jones.

Both total morons but Jones takes the cake as he's an ******* on top of everything...

What he forgot to mention is teams have their own sort of market value... and that Alouette stock is sliding quite a bit

Really starting to think Dimebag Duron craves attention.

Starting???

You need to catch up!

Well Hebert signing in Ott increases odds of a woods or Reed...possibly Muamba..most likely takes them out of the import linebacker position at least

There’s no way that the Riders would’ve re-signed him and given him a big signing bonus if they knew about his situation.

Thats what makes it all better.

Yup.. if wasn't for the bonus I bet his ass would been released and nobody would have picked him up

I wonder what kind of time line we're looking at when Muamba finally makes his decision on the location. The suspense is killing me!

Makes sense why they would want a guy like Franklin to come in and back up for a year and learn the offense before becoming the starter.

Wonder why AC wouldn't coach in Toronto as Trestman's qb coach? He knows his system. Would have made perfect sense.

There were reports saying what amount Westerman’s agent was floating but has there actually been confirmation that he is getting that from the Als?

Man, Leo Cahill passed away today.  Such sad news. He was 89.  For you younger fans who may know very little or nothing about him he was a colourful individual & character.  A master recruiter bringing us the likes of Joe Theismann, Jim Stillwagon & Jim Corrigall to the CFL.  He made the Argos the talk of the town in Toronto in the early 70's & easily made them by far the most hated team in the CFL with their brashness & arrogance. I remember being a teen & going to Winnipeg Stadium in 1971 or 72, whichever year they played at the stadium & hearing the chorus of boos rain down from the stands.  And he loved every minute of it. RIP Leo Cahill.

Amen! I remember Leo being interviewed by Cactus Jack on OB way way back when. He was really fun to listen to. Really Brash and loved to take his shots at just about every other team in the CFL. Loved it! I think he and Matty when Matty was with the Tribune really had a feud going.

Yet, he seemed to be having fun doing it & not being an ass about it like others after him were. He said some brash things & at times they came back to bite him in the ass so he gave as good as he could get. I later became friends with Argos qb Greg Barton & if you knew him there isn't a nicer or more humble guy around. He told me hated the whole Big, Bad Argos persona as he is nothing like that & was uncomfortable with the whole thing but put up with it as it was part of Leo selling tickets.

Haha Reed paid Herbert’s 40,000 offseason bonus earlier this month than cut him. He is basically paying him to play on a his opposition.

Him and Jones have something in common, what a waste of cap money

They didnt over pay, they paid the bare minimum to attract vets to a dumpster fire that has been taking high level FAs and turning them into un wanted junk.

Pretty good bonus for an unwanted 37 year old player, Wilder must be turning purple to see all this cash splashing about all around him.

Hebert was signed within hours of his release. That tells me he was still wanted.
