Free Agency - 2014...
He was a FA who wasn't offered a new contract.... and it's not a coincidence no other team has offered him a contract either

Riders unveil their new barn
why are the seats different in the uncovered endzone?

[MERGED] Bombers sign RB Kevin Smith
Kind of, but not really... he became expendable when the Lions signed Reggie Bush.... Joique Bell was a better "change of pace" back to compliment Bush.... but Smith definitely had more than one injury

Replacement players opinions?
With the luck we've had we'd put together a stellar cast of replacement players that starts the season 6-0.... only to fall back to reality once our real players return

Kris Robertson Signs
possibly... Teague Sherman is also still floating around, if I'm not mistaken

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
It feels like, despite all that was said, they are now starting to negotiate through the media... at least trying to get fans on their side...

Madani: CFLPA Recommends Strike Vote To Members
I find it hard to believe that either side is stupid enough to think a work stoppage helps anyone.... If they don't get this hashed out then I guess they'll prove me wrong

[MERGED] Bombers sign RB Kevin Smith
I hope he's in Mall Rats mode, some of his finest work!

Congrats on your wedding Buck
Why weren't we all invited??

Kory Sheets Cheap Shots CFL
It's kind of self explanatory, but umm...ok... flun·ky also flun·key (flŭng′kē) n. pl. flun·kies also flun·keys 1. A person of slavish or unquestioning obedience; a lackey. 2. One who does menial or trivial work; a drudge. 3. A liveried manservant It's usually coined for someone who has failed a lot in their life and therefor allows themselves to become someone else's slave or lackey. That's kinda what I was thinking... but then wouldn't a "CFL flunky" be someone who kinda "flunked out" of the CFL (like Goltz, Boltus), not someone who went on to bigger and better things??... that's the only reason it didn't make sense to me...

Some new players and where you guys think they might fit in 2014
I'm excited to see what Newman brings.... I remember seeing him play in spot duty last year and thinking "why are Saskie's NI back-ups better than our starters?!".... Newman will bring the versatility that Butler brought/will bring to Sask/Ham

Free Agency - 2014...
I partially agree... I would consider him to be a luxury... I fully expect to start the season without signing him.... but if we could somehow pull off a deal that would be a huge bonus

Important notice regarding the future of MBB.com
I've only been here a few months but I've really enjoyed it.... I'm sure some people recognized me from bombers.com and a brief stint on OB.... anyways, thanks for putting this site together and congats on one year... speaking of twitter, follow me @bear_pants, I'll follow back since that's more of my game-day go-to than the fan sites...

Als Pick David Foucault Signs With NFL Panthers
In fairness he wasn't really given a shot until last season....in which we had the absolute worst qb'ing / o line / coaching ever I think. So for the Riders he definitely is worth the gamble, for the Blue well it's no huge loss. Definitely agree... I won't be surprised, or disappointed, if he develops into a decent back-up and role player in the riders offense

Kory Sheets Cheap Shots CFL
can someone explain what exactly a "flunky" is...
-
[MERGED] Bombers sign RB Kevin Smith
incorrect... different runner, better blocker, and much better catcher out of the back field.... unless you're just referring to injuries, then yes, definitely a possibility... I have to say I'm very excited about this signing... I had him on my fantasy team for a couple years and he was a "must start" when healthy... I just hope his injuries are past him

New "Name" LB
Now that he plays for the Bombers he's guaranteed a 3-4 game suspension... when he played for Toronto a minimum fine was sufficient...

2014 CFL Draft blog
I've been wondering about Tchassakid Player for a while now.... last week some time I posted a question whether anyone knew anything about him and his intentions, but I can't remember which thread that was in and which site .... Anyway, I'll pose it again.... from what I've read and seen in interviews I was wondering if he has strong roots in Texas and is even considering a CFL career? I guess his attendance at the combine suggests he is, at least, interested

I'm starting to think the team shoulda been called the Lumberjacks.... errr sorry I meant the Ottawa LUMBERJACKS

Ticats cut Brandon Isaac? Penton:source
Wouldn't mind bringing in Bauman at the right price.... it's not like we're flooded with NI rec talent right now....

Walters media conference
I like the idea of Wild at MLB... the bombers site lists him at 6'0, 207lbs, he could probably get up to 215-220lbs ands maitain his speed and athleticism... would still make him a smallish MLB but defintely big enough to play there.... I wonder if they envision Newman, Wild and Parker as our primary LBs... The biggest benefit to having Morley at C is his experience... I think Lavertu or Goosen will be given a very serious opportunity to start from day one...

Duane Forde OL Draft Preview
I'm wondering why you have Morley pencilled in at RT and not Neufeld??

Quinn Smith Tests Positive for Steroids
2013 Season ends... 1. LDT is a can't miss prospect Ott will take him and we'll get our C of the future..... turns out LDT is too good for the CFL 2. Well Ott is strong at C, they will likely take Focault and we'll get Lavertu.... Hage retires and now Ott is weak at C 3. Quinn Smith impresses so much he could be on Ott's radar for 1st overall and we get Lavertu.... Smith tests positive for banned substance.... No, I'm not sure the "football gods" can really do anything more to us in this scenario...

2014 CFL Draft blog
Most definitely. Do you think he is good enough to start at tackle though? I am sceptical. I thought he played well in Sask at RT... and terrible at RG. But, that was before the injury so we'll see. I guess I am unfairly basing my skepticism on some of the opinions of my Rider friends. (Having Rider friends is my first problem…I know.) I haven’t actually seen him play myself, so the nervousness about Walters abilities may not be fair, it’s just that I have had more than one person tell me that Neufeld wasn’t that great. Maybe they were referring to when he played at RG. Who do you think is a better evaluator of talent, Rider fans (who typically dump on a player as soon as he's no longer a rider) or more than one CFL general manager? PS I changed it to Neufeld cuz I'm assuming that's who you're talking about...
