I still don't understand why doesn't the league have an official in the booth watching the game and why couldn't he signal to the ref on obvious calls?

I like reading the free press comments from all the "fans" they are usually hilarious and somehow expect that we should trade a mediocre player and in return get a top 5 player and that the only reason the Jets have not done this is because Chevy is to scared to pull the trigger. 
 
I think Chevy is doing a FANTASTIC job so far , his draft picks are mostly doing great (Sutter the only real bust)  and the shedding of the dead weight guys over the years and retaining the promising young guys has been A plus so far.     
 
I wish Winnipeg *fans* had some patience... the team they acquired was a complete mess and had zero prospects and not many assets.  
 
The team has some fantastic guys who will be NHL ready in a few years and with the current group of young guys we have it will be a very good mix.   
 
 
The only players this team should think of moving I think would be Kane and Pavelec and nobody else.    I'd like the team to give Kane one more season before righting him off....  the guy doesn't seem to be progressing and aside from skating fast and wiping out in the corner he really doesn't do much aside from taking half ass shots and missing the net when he is open.      
 
I think Jets should stay the course and the fans should give them at least 2 more seasons before expecting NHL Playoff caliber team.

Put your GM hat on... which players could the Jets acquire that would of sent them to the play offs and would of favored them for winning one or two series?   And who would the Jets would have to give up to attain them?
 
I like to see names because watching the trade deadline I didn't see really anyone that could of put us over the hump?

It is a bit weird,  him T.O and Moss could still play the game and play well.... I'm guessing teams just don't want to deal with the distractions.

And if Willy stinks it up and goes 0-6 you don't think there still will be controversy? I'd rather our insurance be a proven CFL vet which worked wonders with Calgary the last two seasons.

Another scenario : we don't get Glenn, Willy goes down in week 4, and now we are riding the Hall/Brohm train to another 4-14 season.  With Glenn in the bullpen, we are like Calgary the past few years, we don't miss a beat if our number one goes down.  I haven't seen that in Winnipeg since the Clements - Huffer era.

It's okay to hate a team but that shouldn't extend to hoping the franchise folds imo.

We have some weird and bad fans, who would wish that this league lose a team?

Just to get back on topic after that fun interlude.  While I agree fast does not matter a whole lot, fitting the ball into tight windows requires timely release, leading the receiver, being accurate and some ZIP.  While zip is nice, touch is also important and knowing when to take something off a throw to get over the linebackers or on fade routes is equally important.  Drew Willy has both of those traits and the zip required to hit out routes on the wider Canadian field is very noticeable in guys that don't have zip as the ball ends up in their end zone.  Can't wait until June, hope we fix the line by then.  Go Bombers!

I wouldn't want him coaching, we need to eliminate the old losing way from the locker room. I'd rather he simply be an ambassador or sell pulled pork in the stands...

We can pretty much guarantee Glenn will be in BC now.
Good for him on retiring, it wasn't nice seeing him being crushed and looking spaced out.
I don't want him as a coach but he can sure take over for Doug Brown on the radio.
