  1. He said from the start that they will make decisions with input from everyone. That was of the problem before was one guy was making the decisions (Mack) with no input.
  2. If you are big name player it would be a lot easier once you are established to get some endorsement money on the side than Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal.

  4. Just heard lots of negative stories about the guy. Wasn't well liked. Lyle Bauer's buddy. He never played the game at a high level. How can someone truly be in personnel if they have no experience coaching or playing at least at the CIS or NCAA level? How can Ross evaluate talent? I mean, if Hodgkinson was such a valuable guy to have around why is he still unemployed? He was let go last off season. No other CFL team has seen fit to hire him since which tells me what other teams think of him. If he was that good he'd have been working by now. Major League Baseball is chalked full of player personnel people that's only have graduate degrees in statistics.
  5. In all the losing what has been the constant. Players no. Coaches no. GM's no. Presidents CEO's no. Ineffective boards yes.
  6. This site is built on a love for conspiracy theories.
  7. Kyle Walters has 20 years of Canadian football experience he has run his own program in OUA he has played and coached in the league. Personally I think he is ready for this.
  8. FYI almost exact same article was in the Free Press
  9. I think Jim Bell was acting CEO.
  10. Seeing him dragged off the field Thursday it looked like he would be done but he is back out running the first team offence today. This might be the best news of the year. Will not have to deal with 4 quarters of Jason Boltus.
  11. Edwards I think said its up to the Bombers to pick up the option if not he would probably retire.
  12. Kackert when healthy can be in that league. Does not get the carries because Ricky Ray is there.
  13. Edmonton wasn't exactly a powerhouse in Rays last few years there. but they were 11-7 in his last year there and look how much of a disorganized mess that team looked without him. With a Ricky Ray it makes it so much easier to build a team because you know exactly what kind of offence to install because you know what Ray does well and it makes receivers look good cause he's putting balls right where they can be caught. He's pretty f'ing good and will make a team better, no doubt about that. Edmonton did put up some losing seasons with him though. Adding Ray to a hot mess of a team will only cool that mess, not fix it completely. Toronto has a pretty good team, and coaching staff, around Ray, which is helping him to do things like what happened last night. but it's worth remembering that the argos were only 9-9 last year, and this year they're in the absolute shits of a conference. I don't think the Argos are as good a team as the hype. They're really only first in the east because the Bombers are so inept this year and the Als are only slightly less inept. Hell the ticats look like a real team this year because of it too. You put a qb like Ray out there it make everything look better. Honestly the only thing that matters is that they got a decent looking coach in Milanovich and got Ray, but there are any number of GMs who can hire a good coach which is the biggest thing. Barker didn't look like he'd built much of a team when he had Cleo Lemon as his qb. Argos are beatable when Kackert is not in the line up. When he is in they are very tough to stop. Teams have to respect the run just a tad more and Ray takes advantage of that.
  14. yeah but no one is going to hand up RIcky Ray on a silver platter. At this point Ricky Ray is in this groove because of the talent around him. Probably the most talent around him since he had Tucker and Hervey. I wasn't aware that Romby Bryant was a superstar..... What Bryant had going for him last night was the Bombers fear of Owens on the one touchdown everyone bailed on the hitch and they hit Romby over the top. This is what happens when you have a lot play makers on the field.
  15. What I like about Harris is that he is very good at catching balls out of the back field. A skill that we have not had around here in a long time.
  16. I laughed in the fourth quarter near the goal line where he had all the time in the world to throw and looked like he was little confused why no one was rushing him.
  17. Which is why he's pissed that they're running a zone blocking scheme in BC and wants out. I shouldn't need to remind everyone that starting a non-import RB means we can start an extra import on either the OL, at receiver, or on defense. It also means having a suitable NI backup at RB, but that a strategic advantage worth paying for. They way things are going may be able to start 23 Canadians next years.

  19. If they trade they are going to make sure he will sign with the Bombers the deal will be done as soon as the trade happens.
  20. Looks like the coach Burke is a big fan of the Gif http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/22/sports/deadspins-tim-burke-waits-to-turn-offbeat-moments-into-gifs.html?smid=tw-nytmedia&seid=auto&pagewanted=all&_r=1&
  21. He got 3.7 million on his last contract with the Rams.
  22. Second highest total by Bomber QB in 4 years I think.
  23. This one is great he is fined for making comments on the officiating in Riders and Lions game.
