Yes, I agree with your first 2 sentences hence I liked what you had to say.The only guy I know who guided his football team from birth to a championship was Paul Brown of the Cleveland Browns in the late 1940's in the All American Football Conference. He coached the Browns before they joined the NFL in that league from 1946 to 49 where he won at least one championship. Then he won a number of NFL championships in the 1950's with that Browns team when the 2 leagues merged so it's extremely, extremely, extremely rare. Campbell is basically going there to do the work to set the Ottawa team up to eventually get fired in 3 or 4 years if he's lucky. Tom Landry and Hank Stram also did it. Don Matthews also did too with Baltimore but had deck stacked in his favour.

You can say that about any hire. Could have 20 years HC experience they don't automatically win just because they have been there before.

he may not have HC experience but when is the last time this club hired a coach who actually played in this league?

Winnipeg maybe the only city ever have a NHL coach and CFL coach who are from North Bay!

or Marc Washington

I like Barron Miles for DC

or you can get it here http://www.bluebombers.com/live-press-conference

Can watch announcement live here. http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/bombers/Bombers-to-make-major-announcement-234397561.html

I think they thought they could keep it a secret till the announcement that if they had to move him from the hotel to the stadium that it would get out. Also probably easier to allow fans to come watch at a hotel than the stadium media room.

Yeah he took a bad penalty leading to Seahawk points.

Here is the news conference announcing the two new Ast. GM http://bluebombers.com/video/index/id/93721

Was just looking up Breaux. He never played college ball had what at the time was a career ending neck injury at a prep game at LSU in 2007 signed with a AFL team last year. Pretty interesting story.

Just FYI Winston is already on our neg list Will be a pipe dream if he ever makes it up here.

With Florida St rise back to a national power house it will be nice to have a alumn as our Ast. GM. Maybe he can convince Jemison Winston that CFL is the better route than the NFL, one could only dream.

http://www.winnipegsun.com/2013/12/02/bombers-settle-with-tim-burke So only have to pay the difference betwen what he will make and the contract that the Bomber gave him. Seemed to make out alright on that one.

This what people have been wanting for years. Better be no complaining now about being cheap.

Money is flying around IFG

By the title I am assuming he will have a few US scouts under him which I don't think the team has had in a while.

Does this lift the curse of Danny Mac now?

Looks like purse strings are being loosened around IGF

Henoc was a lot better than Butler and still has a lot of growth in his game.

LeFevour has not been put in a position really to show off his passing skills was an excellent passer at CMU threw for over 3000 yards every year he was there.

Labatte would be the only all-star he drafted.

I would considered Heenan and Butler ratio changers.
