the thing about Collaros was consistency. He had at least a couple of games where he looked like his old self and tore the other team a new *******.... and then there were games where it looked like time finally caught up with him..... not sure if we can expect more regression, or if it's an aberration...??
This is the correct statement.
I know kids, I'm scared too. Noeller hit the nail on the head...

the guy was easily the best QB in the CFL.
Which is true, but says far more about the quality of qbs currently in the cfl than anything else.
Honestly Brady Oliveira saved collaros' ass last season. If Brady didn't get rolling collaros didn't have the same ability to carry the offense he did a few years ago.

Zachs processing may or may notnbe slower but he was slower getting the ball away and took some hits he didn't have to.
Guy was looking a bit gun shy with the OL taking step back last season.

We can't even tell who's making the team when we watch practices and pre-season games.
How the hell are we expected to know who is good when we've never seen any of these guys play?
Not seeing a person play has never stopped anyone from judging them before.

No. The 2019 & 2021 teams had the opposition physically beaten down by the 4th quarter.
2019 and 2021 that just won the trenches so hard teams couldn't compete. 8 guys rotating along the defensive line who could contribute. We lost that the past couple years and you see the difference. No grey cups.

agree, however, Bennett was a first year rookie. I think everyone here is being a little harsh on him. If we doesn`t progress this year, it`s a valid argument.,..but every team has to give their high draft picks some reps to develop.
They picked him specifically because they felt he was the most pro ready. The roster usage was garbage last season.
-
It's not even a judgement on picking Bennett.. but the guy was not a useful piece at all and he was only there because they wanted NIs in that role. Maybe he develops more and is useful in the future, but last year he was not. So that coupled with a useless DI in Jackson and the defensive line was not a strength of this team because the rotational pieces were utter trash. Using the Nationalized American rule could have helped that.

Using the nationalized rule, doesnt mean you have more americans on the starting roster it only means you can play them for a limited amt of snaps in place of cdn. Your cdn backups remain the same. The third cdn safety isnt taking starter reps regardless.
What it does mean is that we wouldn't need useless uniform fillers like Bennett taking ineffective DL snaps during a game. Could use an American for that and have your Canadian depth be a useful piece somewhere else.

for Osh to utilize the nationalized rule assumes you have Americans that are better players than the Canadians they are replacing. Considering that we utilized 8 canadians many times is an indicator that many are underestimating the Canadian talent that is available now .
or osh over estimating them....

Thing is we had a lot of wasted roster spots. Dressing 7 OL hindered the team. Yes they used all of them for certain offensive packages... but was it the best use of roster? Not really IMO.
Jackson was a total waste because he didn't do anything well enough to justify a DI spot there.
Regularly dressing bodies who don't play a single snap... these things need to improve to get the best out of the team.

it's a fan blog and nothing more. Dunk has a little bit of insight, but everyone else on there is just a messageboard poster posing as "media". We absolutely have better insight (and likely better writers) on MBB...
It was only decent when the writer from Hamilton was there. After that lost all credibility. Fanboi bloggers now, nothing more.

She's complaining that they didn't offer her a new contract. Why would she complain if the situation made her work environment untenable anyway
Are you serious?
She's filing this because she feels like unacceptable behavior was swept under the rug and they just rid of her instead of addressing her concerns.

Mostly just that everyone is already proclaiming this guy is guilty because he’s got a reputation and if it were a Bomber, there would be cries of “let the process play out”
I wonder if anyone ever stopped to wonder if the reason this became public is because he has this reputation and the woman knew this would be effective.
Disclaimer: if he’s guilty of the claims, he’s a total piece of crap
I just see the double standard here for what it is and someone’s right to due process shouldn't depend on what team colours they wear
If this **** came out about anyone on the Bombers I know I'd react the same way.
I don't recall many people protesting Lawler being suspended for his DUI and in fact I think the only thing that saved him in the eyes of most here was his accepting responsibility and trying to make amends.

For one possible answer, see the general (but not universal) difference in reaction to Andrew Harris’ failed drug test and the justification that it was a tainted sample/useless old school steroid no one would take/so minimal in reading it was effectively useless and the corresponding response to Leonard’s test refusal (and therefore unknown what if anything he was on) in Saskatchewan and all the PED Leonard comments.
Harris peed in the cup and got busted and protested his innocence because of whatever reasons... Leonard refused to pee in the cup, claimed innocence anyway and harassed the drug tester on the way out. It's not the same situation IMO.
