  1. "Something might happen. Or it might not!"

  2. If you look back, they used to make more changes to the line up. It has become more stagnant in recent years.

  3. I'm going with my heart on this one instead of my head. My head says Alexander coming up lame in the ESF is probably going to mean a 5th stripe. My heart says F**k the Riders.

  4. Yeah should give a chance to someone new like Jeff Reinebold or Tim Burke.

  5. It's true, he would try out more guys mid-season, was more willing to give up on favorites who didn't perform, and he didn't just tie canadians down to STs roles. I'd add as well that he used to coach to win, would whip out a few smart trick plays through out the year, and would challenge more. Even if the challenge was to back up a player, or to make the refs look at a problematic area they weren't calling, even if it wouldn't be over turned. At each step, success has made him softer.

  6. No it's not lol. That's his left elbow. The ball is in his right arm high above the turf.

  7. I am not sure who's to blame and I'm not going to pretend I am. I just think some might think twice and take a closer look, before hiring him.

  8. We won in spite of him, not because of him. This is the same guy who refused to start Nichols and waited until he was on the brink of being fired to do so. Management who signed the players and the players themselves got us the results, not this bozo

  11. So who do we think Hogan will pick as his assistants? I am betting on Thomas for DC in a dual role.

  12. That particular call is one of the best examples of why "the call on the field" should count for zilch when it comes to replay. There's not a single ref on the field in position to make a call on that play in that spot on the field through the bodies. I have a really hard time definitively going either way on it. In the next frame from that freezed shot his lower arm is under the ball. Seems like it's basically in his control. But it is moving.

  13. Yeah he did his best to hide it but he wasn't moving quite right & the Als had MBT warming up for a good chunk of the 2nd half for a reason. If that happened early in the game, I doubt he finishes so the question is can he last a full game against the Riders? You'd have to think they're going to bring a ton of pressure in order to make him move as much as possible.

  14. back in the day when he was an argos coach he did a Q&A thing on cfl.ca. I asked him how defensive plays are called and whether the D can make audibles based on what they see. Got a terrific multi-paragraph response back from him. Definitely got the sense that he cared about doing this tiny nothing gig for some fan on the internet.

  15. Yeah. Awful. 5 cup appearances. 9 straight playoff appearances. Talk about an entitled fan. You obviously forget how bad it was before hand. Laughing stock of the league to sell outs every game. What an Funny. The league and players in it respect him tho and he’s looked upon favourably and highly by those making decisions

  17. For a lateral job, when his contract expires at the end of this year. Otherwise, they have to get permission like this. I worry about that too. In-house, I think Hall or maybe they give the push to JY. But I don't really think either happens. Small chance at Walters taking over both jobs, with someone like Brock taking a larger role in the front office to support him. Jackson would be a candidate in theory, but Idk how you pass him for OC last year then make him HC this year. From outside, not a rehash I think we'd look at Archambault, Monsoon, probably talk to Maksymic / Mike miller since we did consider them for OC last year. A sleeper target, who is kind of a rehash, is Pete Costanza. Very good WR/RB coach and pass game coach for Toronto recently. I think he is a better candidate to jump to OC, but we might have to make a bigger jump than that, sadly. They could go full-on crazy and offer Milanovich the HC/GM role he is fishing for. Sounds like the contract only expires on the last calendar day of the year. But I imagine the coaching world has essentially a tampering period like free agency.

  19. If he leaves, we have to be timely in our actions. We can't wait till shortly before FA to finalize things.

  20. Argos have officially asked for (and received) permission to talk to Mike O'Shea, according to Naylor...

  21. I can't believe the Lions bailed Mace out the way they did. He really thought... I need at least one touchdown to close out the game, its 3rd and 5 with 3 minutes left... I've already gone for it inside the 5 on third down this half and made it...but no, I am gonna kick a field goal and give the ball to the best offense in the league, with the presumptive MOP and I am going to get the ball back... and it worked! They got the ball back! And then they promptly throw 2 incomplete passes! 3rd down game is on the line but nah, it worked once, lets do it again! And the Lions go two and out again... and the 2nd down play call is so **** the CFL.ca play by play doesn't even count it so it looks like the Lions ran 1 play and then immediately punted it. And now the Riders need to make it 75 yards and score a touchdown in a minute and they do. Like... if the CFL had robust enough stats to calculate a winning percentage those plays would have affected it negatively. The Rider fans were even going for the exits!

  22. Yeah the replays tsn had made me think it was a good catch. Nothing super clear but nothing that made.me think they got the call wrong. Still comes down to offense and defense for BC had.ample opportunities to win that game and failed to do so.

  23. Perhaps MOS would prefer an market like Toronto because there is less pressure.

  24. I would ask JT you still want to play next year? JT’s answer: Yup that’s the plan, I still feel like I contribute. Based on that answer I would then ask MOS I heard JT wants to come back next year and play. What’s your thoughts? MOS’s answer: Excellent, looking forward to what he continues to bring to our club. Based on that answer my next call is to Pinball Clemons letting him know how MOS is ready to become your new GM and head coach.

    2025 Grey Cup Pick 'Ems

Another tight race again that came down the end. It's a nice way to end an otherwise disappointing season! Thanks for running this every year Rich!

  26. I want to see Alexander slice up the Riders, while shouting 6 7 and doing the marbles dance.

  27. My issue with all of that is nobody here has ANY idea who's to blame for any of it... It's absolutely possible that all the problems are Oshs fault as Booch insists... But we really don't know who's making what decisions. At the end of the day, the biggest problem might be that Osh is giving people too much freedom and he needs to take charge again.

  28. I agree of course, to do otherwise would be to revise history. But what happened in 2024 and 2025, leaves me just a bit hesitant. Some decisions were simply baffling.

  30. Based on this season, I think when Zach has a really good OL and receivers to throw to, he can still be elite... When he doesn't have the right tools, Arbuckle certainly looks better.

  31. Arbuckle is also signed for next year.

  32. Perhaps those opinions are Walters has gone to sleep. Sounds like O’Shea is well respected and basically coveted around the league. Teams have coaches but sounds like if they didn’t O’Shea is number 1 on their lists. Regardless of what people who don’t work for pro football teams say. If Argos willing to give him control they obviously believe.
    1 point
  33. Whatever decision O’Shea makes is fine with me. It’s his life not mine. He’s free to go or free to stay, either way I hope the decision is made quickly. Maybe he calls a press conference and says he’s taking his talents to the big smoke. Who knows. He’s earned his right to choose. just hope we know sooner rather than later. I think if he goes we could see some significant changes here. Like I could see Zach to Toronto. I really could.

  34. That could very well be it. The last paragraph.

  35. Who is to say Dinwiddie don’t take a bunch with him to Ottawa even. Nobody knows right now the actual state of coaching staffs in Toronto Ottawa and Winnipeg right now. Dinwiddie is coach and gm in Ottawa. That’s all we know today.

  36. I’m sure part of Osh maybe agreeing to go is giving him control of his staff also. He’d take younger with him. Same with Mike miller for sure. Guaranteed. I get the feeling tho if we don’t hear Osh has agreed to a deal with the Argos by Wednesday then it’s probably not gonna happen and he’s gonna stay here. Really depends on what O’Shea wants I think. If he wants to go he will, if he wants to stay he will.

  37. I hardly think that we need a third DC

  38. Not if we promote Younger to head coach.

  39. I already have a very unhealthy relationship with the Argo’s so if MOS jumps to that gross boat good gracious next level of hate coming up. #secondchanceforKhari?

  40. 💯... Anything is going to be a downgrade for sure. But we have to be prepared for that... And pray for the best.

  41. Osh has his faults but there is not an available candidate I would take over him. Any fan of this team knows how hard it is to find a good head coach. I would I guess go with Jordan Younger. He has adapted to different personnel and certainly has gathered respect around the league.

  42. What about Marc Trestman? Chris Jones? Maybe CRAIG Dickenson? On a serious note, Khari Jones might be a fun candidate

  45. Indeed. Got to be able to defend against old man Harris, in that situation.

  46. Absolutely. Riders had a long field and needed a TD. BC 100% had the advantage.
