  1. I'd be thrilled if we signed Ceresna.

  2. That's a lot for a guy who hasn't proven it yet.

  3. Is he though? He's a one dimensional guy... someone like Ceresna yeah he's a dude you can pay an assload for cause he does a lot of things, but Betts? Too easily nullified by a physical game.

  4. I'm not sure whether the lack of signings should trouble me or whether I should take it as a sign that the club is making hard decisions and some older, less productive vets aren't coming back.

  6. Yup, he just seems so easy to scheme against as an offense where 80% - 90% of the time he’s being effectively neutralized but all the attention is on the 10% - 20% where he’s sacking the qb.

  7. I want to wish everyone here salutations & feliciatons. Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to one & all. Just wondering what your plans are over Christmas & New Year's? A quiet Xmas or one dilled with family & turkey? Or whatever you may have for dinner. We're flying to Seattle on the 24th to spend Xmas with our son, his wife & our 5 month old Grand Daughter. My daughter in law's family are coming up from Portland. Their family are all over the US. So, they've all pitched in to stay at a Bed n Breakfast close to where Tyler's place is. We're all going to do a pot luck this Xmas. As they just had a turkey three weeks ago for Thanksgiving it's not on the menu, Yours truly will be cooking a beef roast & a ham as our contribution. Should be a lot of fun & a bit crazy. I used to have huge family dinners & get togethers for Easter, Xmas & birthdays. Or we'd all gather at my brother's cottage at Hillside Beach on Lake Winnipeg. Then over the years, my parents & older family members passed away. Or moved for jobs whatever. Now, 55 years later, we live a quiet life in YYC. I have an older son & his wife here but unfortunately we don't talk anymore. So, this get together will be a throwback to another time for me & I am looking forward to it. Usually at Xmas, I get depressed thinking about the people I loved no longer here. Xmas can be a difficult time for me but by NYE, I've usually shaken it off. That week between the two helps. Anyway, everyone have a great Xmas.

  8. agree. I like the talent but they paid him like he was already who they hope he will become.

  9. Other teams are moving forward fast. I'm not panicking but teams are making moves to stock their coaching staffs. Monson in Hamilton. Fields in Ottawa. Benevides in BC. Sherritt to Edmonton. We need an OC but just seem to be sitting by watching.

  10. did the salary cap go up a lot? cause some of these signings in terms of $'s are head scratching. Calgarys Philpot ly 659 yds , prior to that was injured for the previous two years.. If I'm BC's Mckinnis I'm asking for 220k minimum.

  12. its an over spend....he's had 1 really good yr....can rush off edge, but even then when he was watched for jumping he disappeared basically....and if he cant get off a block he is useless....and washed away. He will make some backside pursuit plays, but that is when he has come free...and over shot...and isnt engaged to get back in the play....he's a decent rotational guy, and if he is on a dline where 3 other guys are being physical and responsible with gaps and run responsibility...then you can live with the deficiencies...I guess...but has a piss poor attitude...especially when being owned and when he is....his game totally evaporates.....over pay in my opinion for sure....CDN or not

  13. I get that he's CND and that will boost his value. But He's tremendously overrated imo. I'm glad they've paid him that much but I will be very surprised if BC feels like they get full value out of that. He's collecting on a half of a season of tremendous play, much like Rourke.

  14. I don't disagree but the flip side is they are paying a third of Rourke's salary in marketing money. That's a lot of money to go around telling kids that the CFL is just an unfortunate detour.

  15. It must be nice to be BC and to not have a SMS to follow.

  17. Our training camp mark in that report card just isn't good enough. It irks me to no end the way O'Shea handles it. We need our players to be there at every practice if they are legitimately able to practice. O'Shea has to stop letting players like Neufeld & other miss the entire camp because it's supposedly too hard on them. If players don't want to practice then they should retire or be cut. It's not a football resort. It's important prep for the season. That's on O'Shea for making it way too easy. Enough of the "He doesn't need to practice anyway". That has to stop. It should be, "Get on the field & practice". No way anyone who misses all of training camp & two exhibition games should be in the starting lineup on Opening Day. I don't care who he is. Another 0-4 start may turn into a 4-14 season.

  18. Can't help but think Buck may have stepped in a bucket, with the SMS handcuffs already in place, high player disgruntlement and the possibility of an owner swinging his **** around. Vancouver might turn out to be a bad move for his family if the stay is short.

  19. Ricky Henderson dead at 65. Good lord... Not sure what happened but that's way too young. One of the greatest leadoff men in MLB history. Not just fast but an intelligent base runner...
