I haven't heard this one repeated too often, compare to the goal line white powder, tornado shelter no touchdowns, etc, jokes.

 

 

A Bomber Fan, Rider Fan, and Stamps Fan bump into each other at a base camp lodge before a mountain climbing expedition. They start up a conversation about the CFL, current and past seasons, etc. Despite some rivalry, they all have some good stories to share. 

 

The Stamps fan says, "You know, you two guys ain't so bad. Let me get the next round!" and he proceeds to order a round of shots for the 3 of them. 

 

The drinks come and the Bomber fan says, "For the Bombers!" and knocks his drink back.

 

Not to be outdone, the Rider fan says, "For the Riders!" and knocks his drink back.

 

Finally, the Stamps fan says, "For the Stampeders!" and he knocks his drink back.

 

This goes on for a few hours, each fan alternating their turn buying a round of drinks.

 

 

The next morning, they set out for their expedition.

 

They trudge on and on, up the peak, and as they reach the final push for the summit, a huge storm rolls in. Like a huge storm, no chance they are going to survive. 

 

The three of them look at each other, and say, "Well, we might as well make it to the top before the storm kills us!" and they proceed to scamper up the final ascent.

 

Once at the peak, the clouds break a bit, and they can take in the view before the inevitable happens and they are taken from this life into the next. A small tear rolls down the cheek of the Stamps fan, and he says, "I'm going out under my own terms", and he takes a running leap over the edge of the mountain. "FOR THE STAMPS!" he shouts, a throwback to the night before and the sense of brotherhood the three of them had developed over the last 24 hours. The Bomber fan and the Rider fan look and each other, and without a word spoken, both come to the same conclusion, only the Bomber fan obviously reaches it first. With a shout at the top of his lungs, he lets loose a cry of "For the Bombers". And he shoves the Rider fan off the Mountain. 

I love this thread. A beat down of the Riders and their insufferable fans. Stop this madness now. Please do not turn this into a "I can one up you with my bad joke" thread.

That was a close game. Sask is capable of winning and would have tonight easily if not for all their dumb penalties. But they still suck.

The unsettling thing for me re:Brohm vs Marve is that I have this sesne that if Willy goes down, O'Shea would keep throwing Brohm out there as long as Brohm could stand upright and would put Marve out only if O'Shea could not find a pulse in Brohm.

I guess we lasted what? 10 days, without a Marve-Brohm posting.

Not all is doom and gloom in Riderville as some of the fans are getting worked up over another Coach Firin' ...

 

I went on twitter after the game for a bit, while i was in the bathroom and #riders was trending so i thought i'd check it out... It was kind of sad to read some of the fans thoughts, the same stuff they are saying about Smith is the same stuff they were saying about Sunseri last season, future star in the league.. I also understand fans like to  blame refs after losses and occasionally i'll do it too but... some of the tweets about the refs last night were insane.. sorry but offside is offside really, holding is holding, illegal blocks are illegal blocks... 

 

The sad part tho, it's the vets that are the ones getting all the penalties on every other play and 99 percent of those penalties are legit... maybe 1 or 2 out of the 22 they had were iffy but... 99 percent of them are called in every game. 

 

0-7 looks good on that fan base tho, it really does... got people jumping off already but then you got some pretty delusional ones who say they will still finish 11-7.

 

As for Smith, what i see is a guy who is similar to Marve, I see a guy who doesn't do much from the pocket but when he gets outside of the pocket and chaos happens, he looks good, i see a guy with not a good throwing motion (marve has a nice throwing motion tho), i see a guy who isn't good at making decisions out there, people can go on and on and on about their D but.. that pick 6 killed the riders really. 

 

Smith? I don't see it, i see a guy who looks confused and lost in the pocket and i think in order to be successful in the CFL as a QB, you need to be able to do things in the pocket and so far from what i've seen from Smith, he just can't do it.
