The Bombers can beat the Als at home. In a one game playoff anything can happen. The Bombers will have to play at such a high level to do it. We've all seen huge playoff losses by the overconfident home team over the years. The 9-9 Saskatchewan Roughriders beat the 16-2 Eskimos at CWS in 1989. The 1972 Bombers lost the Western Final to Sasky at home. I was in grade 11 & at the time. Thinking about it still hurts. The Stamps have blown a tire in the Western Final so many times... Probably 4 potential GC victories on the artificial turf. Losing to inferior teams even though they had Flutie, Garcia & Dickenson. So, it's not impossible to beat the Als. If the Bombers are intense, mistake free football. no turnovers & Lady Luck is on their side anything can happen. Davis Alexander is young, cocky & inexperienced playoff qb. He's smug & overconfident. He's prime to lose.

This may be the best pre game speech I ever heard. Especially the last part!! Huff was a helluva head coach.

Lest we forget 2001....

IF ,D wins championships, we roll to GC. IMO ,the best game they played all year.

I ran into Huff at an RBC branch one time in Calgary. We had a lovely chat. What a great guy. I told him I was always thankful that Cal put him in in 1984 when Clements was sucking (a lesson I wish O'Shea would learn but I know never will) in the Grey Cup and he agreed.

One win away from a GC appearance.

Okay then.

That long pass to White that he missed. He lost the ball in the sun. The ball was there but he couldn;t see it.

that happened a bunch on both sides of the ball and twice on kr. That stadiums shade lines are ridiculous.

For nield, it’s tough. He hasn’t been near good enough to earn his pay. he’s barely gotten attempts though, and he’s a big young canadian who can run.

If we can make better use of the cap space and upgrade wr, sure. Problem is, demski could well retire, and clercius is also a fa. we can’t lose both or all 3 and replace all that.

We’ve seen all the wrs other than singer struggle this year. I’d be more willing to give nield another shot than White. Who is also a fa. Whites gotta go.

Nield also had two nice blocks out of the tight alignment.

If we keep wilson, singer, nield, and clercius we need a wr1, and another canadian #3 ish to compete for spots. Probably another vet imp to compete as well.

we really have no idea what any of the qbs are capable of. The wrs, ol, and oc are all too bad to speculate.

For my money, i want zach gone for health reasons, and I want another vet qb to battle for qb1. A real 4 way battle. 2 vets 2 young guys. Some ones going home. Do that with an improved ol, wrs and a competent oc and let’s see what we have.

Next year we are in a very tough spot rebuilding our O.

For me, Dru Brown gives me hope. However, to beat the Als at home in front of that amped crowd will mean the team has to play the game of it's life, Intenseno mistake football. Can they do it? Yes but it'll be the ultimate challenge for the guys.

Back to Brown. He deserves to start. If Osh goes back to Collaros then he's an idiot. If we lose with Zach next week then our HC deserves to be fired. I agree with you whhfan, it's probably time to go in a different direction at qb with Brown as the starter next season. Will the Bombers give him starting money whatever the market is now?? It's up to Walters to rebuild the OL. He needs to surround Brown with players he can win with. Bryant has to go. Neufeld maybe... I think Gabe Wallace & Tui Eli are FA's. We need to sign both. Is Vanterpool good enough to start at left Tackle or do we look to sign a free agent Tackle?

Gawd does Tommy Nield need to ride the pine & be a backup receiver. Our priorities are rebuild the OL. Add some impact receivers. Get a veteran backup qb we can win with. Zach needs to retire. But we all know Osh... As swell as a much more physical inrerior DL. ..

Honestly Bryant and Wallace are both pylons, Tui is below league average, Neufeld will likely retire. We have Broxton as our only above average OL this offseason. Rebuild doesnt begin to cover what our OL needs.

Singer goes to the NFL imo, Demski is another year older...we got problems again at receiver.

This will be the toughest offseason in Walters career since his first one. This could be ugly if he doesnt show up again.

Why do I have a weird feeling that against all logic and despite their ineptitude they’ll upset Montreal next week?

9-9 1988 Bombers beat the wildly favoured Argos in the East final then go on to beat the Lions in the Grey Cup in Ottawa. It has happened 😁👍🏻

We've seen he doesn't deal with adversity very well. Get him flustered early and anything can happen.

I don’t think we will see the FAs youd hope for, but with the cap going up stars will be available.

Will likely require trades and a good draft despite the missing pick.

We could beat Montreal if Willie actually rushes the quarterback and doesn't just take 2 steps and put his arms up.

just finished my watch, got home late so watched it on cfl+.

Tommy Neild, ay yi yi. Hopefully he delivers some redemption next week because that drop was Incompleterson-level. Dude owes Hallett a carwash for bailing him out with that fumble recovery.

Pretty sure it was Hansen who recovered the fumble.

I believe it was Hallett who caused the fumble and Hansen now #35 who recovered it.

Yup "fumble recovery".

Happy thought to end the night.

Going into next season, the Argos will be spending a million bucks a year on a 33 year old QB for the next 5 years who is 0-2 in the playoffs.

No, Osh says Zach will start against the Als. You know he'll do it too with a smirk on his face.

Hopefully manu and Cline are in camp..Broxton where he should have been.

Even tho one poster keeps saying Eli is worst in league he is not..worlds better than what weve had for 5 yrs....hes been solid snd the middle of line hasn't been a seive since he has started..and good consistency in snaps and been pretty obvious right blocking schemes being called

We need tho to grab the best available FA tho regardless of position if available

Well, with Walters, the bar is set pretty low. What's the big deal he & Osh will say?? As they sit around the fireplace sipping their cognacs. We made it to the Eastern Final, doncha know???

Why such a short deal?
