in my opinion solid move...and picks...pffft....its a crap shoot at best and we may have 2 or 3 studs rolling in next yr...maybe even later this yr

I not sure Perkins will, or should based on his play in Short yardage and really shouldnt...he's been as automatic as have been seen here as of late...as from how it stands now Elgersma would come in as #2 and we all know he will get zero reps unless ZC lost his leg....So Dru as the defacto #2 with Perkins as short yardage makes total sense this yr as Elg's learns and watches this yr

I am sure nobody felt good with either if ZC was to go out for the yr...Walter's made a savvy move and gave up zero really for him

ZC better not be doing shorts... So what role does Dru serve at the moment, who's getting demoted, and why? Does TE go to PR for now?

Why? I mean. Zach is the only QB on the roster who has thrown a pass in a real cfl game. That’s why plus Zach is one hit away from us playing a rookie.

zc starts...dru is qb2..Perkins continues what he has excelled at....bumping Perkins off would be ...well stoopid but a classic osh move...so prepared for stooopid

Perkins is just the SY QB, and a pretty good one so far. I don’t think he’d be able to do much in a case of Zach going down.

I remember Dru Brown being very good at short yardage. Prior to him showing he was also very good at passing.

Ottawa going all in on Maier. Yeah. All that talk of RD being some sort of head coaching rockstar has taken a hit after a few games hasn’t it. Ottawa is more of a dumpster fire now than last year.

You want a smaller injury prone qb to do short yardage?

It’s a fairly important role in the CFL that you notice when somebody is bad at it ie Streveler last season.

All I can ask is why couldn't walters have sweetened the pot and tossed in a Jones and Wilson and removed them outta our equation..if both so valuable why wouldn't a team want those toss ins???

I love this move. I never wanted to see Dru leave in the first place. I’m thinking this is Zachs last season and we’re all in for a grey cup run so let’s get some insurance incase Zach goes down and Brown is our guy moving forward. He got absolutely pummeled in Ottawa but I think he can still be one of the best quarterbacks in the CFL if he can stay healthy

Yeah I think a big part of this is Dinwiddie knowing he couldn't have the constant QB controversy. One of them had to go.
