Brandon Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago I don't mind bringing Wilson in as veteran insurance... what I do want to see is new guys coming into camp with a real chance of replacing the old vets like him. I dont' want them giving him the job by default while keeping a potential starter on a bench getting extremely limited reps. Piggy 1 and wbbfan 2
Arnold_Palmer Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Things were going so well this off season, and then they just couldn’t help them selves and decided to get the gang back together. 2019 is going to be 7 years ago this season. You can rationalize bringing back one or two of these guys ( I would have moved on from all 3 but that’s just me) but all 3.. Clearly Walters and O’Shea are still living in the glory days; if teams like Montreal can move on from a 28 year old star because of injuries and objectively not living up to his contract I think it’s a no brainer about Wilson. Yeah, the job is his even if he comes to camp injured and doesn't practice a single time. We know how O'Shea operates at this point. Veterans don't need practice and they certainly don't need to be evaluated. bigg jay and Piggy 1 1 1

The best way to insure that isn’t a problem is to get rid or guys like kyrie. How many guys have we moved on from by way of mos/bench/cut vs off season not extending releasing etc

SpeedFlex27 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Up to the Bryant signing, I was onboard with what they are doing. The Wilson signing I don't like at all. I assume there'll be maybe 2 or 3 more signings of older veterans before the FA window opens Feb 1st. Then Walters will tell us that we don't have the money left for any impact CFL free agents. Now, I'm thinking same old, same old with the emphasis on old. Younger guys will be screwed over. Osh & Walters gonna ride these guys into the sunset. Edited 1 hour ago by SpeedFlex27 wbbfan 1

Makonzo is an intriguing player that I would like to actually see play... but other than him, no one on that list needs to be back White or Mack aren't must signings? Oh sorry, missed the "our list of FA's". My bad. Edited 1 hour ago by SpeedFlex27

We got a couple guys who are alright. But not much, nothing like what we used to have.
rebusrankin Posted 25 minutes ago Report Posted 25 minutes ago So if your Smith or Shay, how pissed are you? I'd be pissed to know they signed an aging vet whose going to get pencilled in. Piggy 1 1
