wpgallday1960 Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Bombers need BradyO to be their best player in order to win. ZC is a shell of his former self but at least he isn’t forcing as many deep balls any more and takes what the defence gives him. I’ll take the win and hope Demski and Schoen can play on Labour Day. Perhaps, but I don't expect to see Lawson starting at the corner. I realize that some folks aren't crazy about the Houston signing but charges were dropped and I'm ok with givong a guy a second chance. He can play and he's a lot better than Lawson. sportmentary2012 and Piggy 1 1 1
Nolby Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Montreals offense is obviously banged up, but we beat a no joke defense while missing key receivers. Bombers slowly wore them down with smart play by Zach and Hogan FINALLY let Brady cook. Bigblue204, Mark H., Yourface and 2 others 5

There's a difference between knowing in advance that you are.going to be missing receivers and losing them mid game. I thought our O was damn fine, given the circumstances. He seems to be in pretty good shape considering he’s getting older. He’s not quite 2010’s Zach in terms of mobility but it’s nice to see him use his legs a little more this season when needed. I would say the passing attack needs some adjustments, and those are slowly being made. Bigblue204 1
SpeedFlex27 Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Best game of the year for our offense & especially Zach. Brady was spectacular & it just shows how stupid Hogan's been by not using him properly. I wonder if Walters tries to take a receiver off of a practice roster or makes a trade? Osh just can't rely on Schoen to come in & play the way he did in 2023. We give up too many big plays in our secondary & that is going to kill us. Booch, rebusrankin, Blue28 and 1 other 2 2
Bomberguy Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago (edited) The year of injuries it seems. Perhaps Ontarea Wilson makes it back? We have been injury lucky in our recent run but the last two seasons that’s run out. Loved watching Strev block, but I never want to see that again 😳 Edited 11 hours ago by Bomberguy

Jeezus, Collaros could go 50 for 50 for 714 yards & throw 10 TD passes in a game & there would still be fans like you saying he's still not good enough.. Like nothing he did last night was good enough for you. No, he's not the same qb he was 5 years ago. He's 36 years old. He hasn't thrown deep this year because other than Demski & occasionally Wheatfall, we have no consistent deep threat at receiver so he is forced to check down & take what the defense is giving him. The man deserves some credit when he plays well & he really did last night. What was he 27 of 31 for 263 yards with two starting receivers out with injuries???? He & Brady put the team on their backs & won that game. It was a gutsy performance by the Bombers after losing Sterns & Demski. They were dialed in as a team in a way we've seldom seen in a number of years. However, still give up too many big plays in our secondary. If I was Walters, I'd be bringing in some receivers & defensive backs for a look/see. Corcoran has got to go. Is he the best our scouting staff can come up with as a backup receiver?? the watcher 1

Online did well, Zach played smart.....playcalling was BS until we gave up the goofy crud and went to Brady.....please Hogan learn from today.....wear down a defence and win the clock....you can take over the 2nd half..... cause too much rotation with Schmeck and Thomas...Schmeck astually has a real niche on the short yardage...he's got one our best get offs....hence he shpoud be one of the 2 Cdn Dt's on roster with Lawson.....but is limited in rotation so use sparingly We have our most success with various combinations of the imports and Lawson...so stick with that for your majority of sets, and find a way to get Woods on to make it even better Oline is coming together....I almost think Stan was knicked right outta the gate, but has steadid the line again....Center tho still is a weal spot....we need to switch it out just to see if anything 10 hours ago, Noeller said: How long would it take for Dandy or Houston to be game ready? Demski may....but will he be his normal self and be in a bit of a self preservation mode...or be one good shot from being out again??...I can't see either of Schoen and Sterns playing, and if Schoen does it's cause we rushed him back too early due to basically zero depth/options.....I'd be on the phone with White last night already...at least he could be dropped in lineup immediately, and would give some physicality and contested ball value for us...plus Sask would have to pay attemtion to him...he has big play ability 8 hours ago, Mark H. said: I don't think OL is that bad in pass pro. Mark H. Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago And I think Demski is a 1 or 1a receiver, based on how he's played this year. Wheatfall is showing flashes, but he keeps getting absolutely hammered. wpgallday1960 and wbbfan 2

I was actually happy with ZC play last night. ZC took what the defense gave him and I admire him for that. He’s had to adjust his game because he isn’t the deep thrower he used to be. I’ve been advocating for him to develop more of a short to midrange passing game and at least for this game he did so successfully.
