Me gots a feeling Collaros is gonna go bananas on Saturday.

Well the good thing is, even if he has issues, I feel damn good about our chances with Strev playing. The big question will be what the running game looks like when the opponent has a week to prep for you...

Run game is basically will but I don't really know what BC is going to be looking at to prep for the Bombers O this week.  I think it will look a lot different with Collaros in schematically.

I don’t think it will. They kept Strev in the pocket quite a bit.  Zach has a better arm and I think he can hit those short to intermediate a little bit better, but I think you’ll see a lot of the same, steady ground game, play action, and schemes to get the ball into their playmakers hands.

If you listened to O’Shea presser today he said the playbook is the same for all QBs but at the same time the plays that will be called are basically the plays that QB excels at most. Zach and Strev excel at different things. Zach more of a deep shot guy for sure.

Zach gonna throw for 400 and 4 tds. I don’t see issues. I see a dude who has a chip on his shoulder from his suspension and is gonna go ham this season.

Like Tom Brady after his 4 gamer vs the Bengals....I feel sorry for the BC Bengals.

The playbook is the same sure but the way the defense prepares is going to be different and how they react is gonna be different. The threat of Streveler pulling the ball and running with it on a RPO is going to keep teams from keying on our runningback to a degree and certainly Zack's ability to throw a deep ball on a dime has gotta play a role as well.

I'm hoping our pass protection is as good this week as it was last week -- a clean Zach is a dangerous Zach.

Living in the past I see.... collaros hasn't had the same deep shot precision for a while now. Too many floaters.

It's called the blue flu.

Zach's deep shot ability is not what is was 2-3 years ago but is still near the top of the league QB wise. He is still very good on the deep ball. The problem is that ANY deep ball is a much lower % completion and we relied on it way too much the past two years under Buck. We can't be taking the amount of deep shots that we have been taking the past couple years and expect high efficiency.

It's been reported that Rourke trembles and gets the shakes when he sees that he has to go against Willie .....It's also been reported that he said Willie J was his worst nightmare ...poor guy might need treatment

I hope itll be better than the 2nd half or so of pass pro but yeah. I think it will to, if we keep in vanterpool.

I personally find it hilarious - he was penciled in by so many as MOP/MOC. Has to do nothing to earn his flowers from so many.

CFL hype train. Tbh we see the same thing with a lot of rider players. The national CFL media panders to the largest group it can. And they think Rourke is like every fan's 2nd favorite QB. He isn't. I'll add that a couple of our guys have had their tires pumped here from the media for similar reasons. Kola a bit, Houston, etc. Especially on our OL, though.

I actually have found in most circles, people find Rourke to be quite arrogant. I’m not a huge fan.

For sure with the Riders - especially with AJO. I get they have a job to create excitement, but there are better players to pick certainly.

I don't know about arrogant for him, but his booster group for sure is. And I 100% agree, among the cfl fans I know across the league, most people don't like rourke. The media has tried to elevate him to messianic levels, but only succeeded in making him unlikable. I think he him self is the usual headspace QB1s live in. Maybe a little less crazy/egotisical. But the hype train is gigantic.

Yeah, and I think you don't create excitement, especially league wide, by being a tire biting bandwagon type at the media level. If I wanted to pump up the excitement league wide, I'd be talking about the young guys who are poised to explode onto the scene. For us, guys like Vaval, Adams, and Wheatfall. Guys around the league like Brown, Alexander and yes, Rourke. Instead of pitching Rourke as the next/current Flutie, you pitch the 3 guys as the next generation of top tier QBs. You put them up against each other and consider who will be the top guy. Any 2 of those 3 playing each other should be huge, or 1 playing a guy like Zach, Harris, vaj etc. Thats how you hype up and sell a game.
