First practice of the regular season is today. Out with the old and in with the new. Time to get it started.

 

Also thought it interesting that the East didn't get a single player nod tonight. Not even Pate or Gaudaur. 

I find these awards fire up the team that gets shut out or doesn't get as many awards as the other. Remember the cockiness of the Ti Cats in 2019? They acted like they were going to wipe the floor with the Bombers. I know our players used that as motivation to put Hamilton in its place. The East being shut out should get Montreal going to prove the voters wrong.

Happy for yoshi wining a mol award. It’s interesting that the rider bias in the media along with a gc birth didn’t get them much for awards. Als get no major awards and riders get one major one minor. Pretty odd for the cfl. That said I think they got the awards pretty right

I bet if players had made more plays from 2022-2024 we would have 4 cups as well. My bet is even more likely than your bet to be accurate. Despite coaching let downs we were a play or two from winning two of those games for sure. No coach would have overcome the ZC injury. We had nothing behind him. Unless one has the incredibly far fetched idea that Jake Dolegala Or Wilson was going to lead us to victory. The last Grey Cup went down the crapper when Collaros did. He was the only QB on our roster capable of winning that game. That's just the reality of it.

More like if we didn't cheap out on a kicker, didn't field injured guys who became liabilities,  and if Zach could play even half decent considering his salary we would have more cups.

Yeah but when Osh  played an injured collaros this place was ridiculous. Maas plays an injured QB and he’s the greatest.

I've seen more than a few critical takes on Maas for playing a hurt Alexander

healthy players sure...players making plays also has to do with preparedness and coaching and being put in a position to do so....any player will...and has said that.....we haven't of late coached our players very well

A QB who couldnt handle the ball....let alone throw it...admittingly wouldn't lead u toa win either..

Dolegala had played in the league...garnered wins on a poorer team than us...I'm sure he could have managed the game better than whatZC gave post finger re-attachment

If it's a hurt Alexander or a healthy MBT, I'm still going Alexander. Injured DA at least gives you a chance. MBT is toast before it even begins. But it absolutely is the exact type of thing Osh would do and get ROASTED for on here...

Also a QB that can't grip a ball & throw properly is much different than a QB who can't run well.

MBT is wrecked too.  He did not get a needed elbow surgery because they literally had no one to bring in.
