  • Sure. There's a good 30-45 minutes a day on the 680 CJOB Sports Show with Christian. Plus training camp hits in sports at 625, 725, 825, 925am and 325, 425 and 525 pm. And we'll have two hours pre-gam

No surprises there. Adams stands out as the guy that led our team in receiving yards in preseason. But that doesn't really mean much.

Looks like about 10 players released since the 1st pre season game so far. We're down to about 91 players left. Could still see a few more dropped by the time we have our last practice this week.  Depends on how many walking wounded we have that can't play on Friday.

So far all good cuts.  can’t wait to see final cuts and the final game.

Yeah...certainly no head scratchers there...and will allow some others the all important reps in practice and that final game

I wonder if we see a few more cuts like this before the last game to focus reps on guys. If not I feel like we will have guys we don’t dress for the pre season finale then cut em.

I bet we get around the same amount again on Thursday

That Peter guy was Afful anyway.

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

The pretty awful auto correct proves prophetic

I can’t be the only one who sees his name on the cut list as the actual confirmation he even existed

who the hell was Jaylen Hall

Guarantee O'Shea saying same thing on 30 of these guys.

These camps are way too big.  Have a goddamn rookie camp and then have an actual camp where you build your team from 65-70 guys to play in the season.

Mr and Mrs Hall's boy.

The air was not exactly filled with catchable passes, the few lucky enough to have one thrown in their direction had to dig them out of the dirt for the most part.

Walters and Osh have burner accounts on here obviously

Heaven forbid people actually discuss the team, right?

There’s gonna be a guy like a Russell Dandy or Sy Barnett who get cut and make people wonder “were they even here?”

This forum exists to talk of the team. I’m part of said forum and community. I appreciate the forum and all its contributors. But if I’m Osh and Kyle and I do have a burner account. I think I lol lots reading most the comments. Perhaps they take some seriously but when it’s sellout after sellout after sellout after banger after banger after banger, they prob don’t. Don’t mind the complaining. I contribute to it at times. 4 straight cup appearances tho is quite an accomplishment and if I’m being honest it’s probably gonna be 5 in a row then we host so you know it better be 6 in a row. 2 outta 4 ain’t bad in sports. 4 outta 6 is unheard of.  Bombers are the envy and class of the league. We are the CFL here in Winnipeg. We don’t need fifty cent to draw 30k.  They doing alright. Remember the Mike Kelly Joe Mack era, man. Oh man.

Here’s some complaining.

why the **** do we have 50000 db and receivers still.

Pretty normal. We also have a couple db starting spots open. And you need to keep similar volumes of each other to work with in camp.

I saw Kyle Walters at my son's school track meet today near the stadium. Judging strictly by what he was focusing on, he values small frames and 3" verticals.

Wonder how he feels about huge frames and 3” vertices? lol

The way I see it breaking down right now is that we have 2 HB (Nichols and Holm) and a safety (BA) locked in, plus a very likely field CB (Ford). That leaves 11 American DBs competing for 2 spots (boundary CB and backup/dimeback).

At receiver it's even tighter... There is probably only one spot available on the active roster... Maybe two, if one of them is also a returner. The Bombers still have eight receivers competing for those spots.

Assuming our starters play a quarter+ in the second preseason game, it's going to be hard for some of these guys to even get a chance to play.

Ba still hasn’t practiced iirc. Don’t think he’s doing well in recovery.
We also need to stock the pr with a few guys in for turn over injuries and not working out.
Wr will certainly be one starter one kr at this point. And again probably a guy or two for the pr.

I'd give the starters 2..maybe 3 series with ZC and then park them..they already know the playbook and system and just need a few reps to knock of the rust and recalibrate the timing at game speed

Some the excess db's and wr are more for looks at returner now as opposed to the #5 spot...I think it's a final audition for Wilson..Mitchell..Johnson and Vann for that 5 spot.

I think Smith is the likely front runner for the return job and offensive Swiss army knife...especially if BO is not 100 percent..or they may want to ease him in...Smith offers just too much versatility to ignore...and is prob one the most explosive guys in camp...hope we go that route

personally I would rather see ZC  do the whole 1st half, with Streveler 2/3 of the 2nd ... get the vets a half too ... get some rhythm back this game, not the opener

most of the roster spots have already been decided  ... there are only a few decisions to be made

yes a few still need a chance to shine

the decisions have been made in the practices

they just need to confirm the practice performers can do it in  game speed conditions

they are only going to change their mind on just 2 or 3 players

the PR might change by just 2or 3 as well

the biggest factor: injuries ... hopefully not too many hammies

Looking to take my 3 year old son to his first Bombers experience by taking him to see some TC this week. I don't think his attention span would make it worth bringing him to a game yet. My question - would it be better to take him to a normal practice or the walkthrough on Thursday? Thursday might work better for our schedule, but I'm concerned walkthrough wouldn't provide much excitement for a rookie Bomber fan.
