When you compare Winnipeg to QC is there a big difference?

Corporate support. that’s why salt lake can make it worK and Quebec can’t. Omaha tho, that’s the one where you go really huh, Omaha over Quebec. Crazy.

perhaps the cdn dollar and 25 percent of the league having no trade clauses to Canada tho also. Growing the game. Would the game grow more in Q city or Omaha.

I personally feel Quebec City is more for maybe relocation. Same with salt lake. Just because expansion gonna cost billions and Quebeccor don’t have billions.

Q city best bet, hope Atlanta gets a team again. Cuz Calgary and Winnipeg say thank you.

Omaha has four Fortune 500 headquarters though which is one less then Utah and 1 more then Quebec and the ones in Quebec are all MTL area based.

I wonder if Warren likes hockey?

Hope he loses. Otherwise, all contracts will be made up of primarily "signing bonuses". There's tax avoidance, legal, and tax evasion, not legal. This would be tax evasion, IMO.

and the flip side of that coin, no players will want to sign with Canadian teams.  There is that too.

That's the league's problem. No more welfare for millionaires.

What do you think of Connor McDavid winning a million dollars the skills competition at the NHL All Star weekend? With all the homelessness & people lining up for food banks & just the general struggle we're all having today as a society, wouldn't it have been better for McDavid to have won the money & then donate it all to the charity or charities of his choice? What a great gesture that would have been. I mean. the guy is already making millions. Does he really need the extra money? How much is too much?

He talked about potentially donating it, during a post-event press conference.  He was going to take time to figure it out. Said there are a lot of good options, he just hadn't put too much thought into it yet.

Lot of "potential" there.

Glad to see McDavid's not just pocketing the money & keeping it himself.
