I sure couldn’t see him going further and becoming more than that. I’d be happy if he stuck around as depth but I’d be very worried if we went into 2023 with him as a starter for the year. Especially with gray Eli and Dobson around. We’ve had guys with the physical tools and nastiness like Dobson and Eli before. But never with the pedigree and polish as well. Guys like Rupert butcher work out hero not guys who had legit shots of becoming nfl players or first round picks. for me the two best case scenarios are Eli starts at centre and Dobson at guard with gray as 6th man or re sign couture with eli at guard. For guys in the trenches, especially the OL, it's easy to get back into the game. He must have been ahead of Gray because he was the one who got the start when Neuf went down in 2021 and he played at a very high level that game. If he doesn't go covidiot he is probably our starting LG right now. He is a very talented O lineman. As long as he isn't 50 cheeseburger overweight and no breath he can easily come in at centre for us, as this is his natural position and is the easiest OL position physically. Kolankowski hadn't seen a whole lot of live action before Couture went down either though, and he did just fine. He didn't play for 2 years (2019-2020) then sat on the PR most of 2021 (back-up for 2 games at the end of the year). He backed-up Couture for 2 more games to start 2022 before the injury and the he's starting in game 3. I'm not even sure he saw the field once in those four games (teams or short yardage maybe?) but either way, he get much action between the end of 2018 and the start of 2022.
