Can Harris come back?
I'm assuming McGuire dresses behind Collaros?
Who's in/who's out?

Long, long range weather (as of November 22): High -3, feels like -9. Wind 21.

(as of November 24): High -11, feels like -18. Wind 26.

(as of November 26): High -5, feels like -10. Wind 18, gusting 27.

(as of November 29): High -9, feels like -14, Wind 14, gusting 24.

(as of December 1): High -7, feels like -12, Wind 20, gusting 30.

(as of December 3): High -5, feels like -12, Wind 33, gusting 50.  This is interesting, the wind has picked up SIGNIFICANTLY, to the point that I don't even think the kicking game is going to matter. But, the high on Monday is -22, which tells me it's likely the temperature will get much colder prior to or during the game. The weather is definitely going to be a factor but we're still too far out to see what the full impact will be. It's going to be fun.

  • hey - Andrew Harris is back - we've all moved on.....

  • Interesting that Harris is listed as “Guaranteed To Dominate”… seems a little arrogant but I can’t really disagree!

  • Watching the Rider fans cry is so euphoric to me. Rider_Stronson over there having a meltdown, you love to see it. We handed them the game multiple times and they couldn’t take it. **** em, so gl

Sorry is someone questioning whether the ball was thrown as the kid sits there with it in the picture? 😄

it could have been a Rider practice ball as well he chucked after the fact...if the ball has a W on it and marked as an approved game day ball..then that would explain what ball was used, now the intent is the question..generally a celebratory ball is handed to a person in first row or two...or lightly tossed...further than that it's lofted up into the crowd....also...Highly doubt he was tossing a celebratory ball to a rival fan...in said rival fans home stadium..

If you look at the photo its a game ball with the W.

Gainey could have caught it in the South end zone. Carried it back to the sideline and then threw it. I’m not saying he did/didn’t but that’s what sounds like happened. And if they look for that on the cameras they should also look for the Duke eye poke and get that out on the table as well :)

I was disappointed that CFL Wired didn't offer any new camera angles.  Sometimes you see stuff that isn't shown on the broadcast.

obviously he took it to the bench then....and then wizzed it at fans

100% what happened. I have sat behind those guys. They are basically at midfield.

Also the cameras are some SD looking quality.

NFL Films did a better job with this stuff 30 years ago.

I like the concept but it needs help.

Agreed. CFL wired used to be fun to watch, this year it has been so boring I stopped watching mid season. They don't show anything new and most of the time the players that are mic'd up are so boring they add nothing at all.

Simoni Lawrence is apparently only guy on the Tiger Can'ts worth micing up.

And he isn't.

Just saw Bailey's TD from the 4th quarter in GC107 and the command centre overturned that pretty quickly to an incomplete pass.

Last Sunday, Williams' crappy catch gets upheld by the command centre.

Bewildering.

On Bailey's catch, he had control and the ball didn't move at all when he hit the ground, therefore, it should have been a  TD.

That Williams "catch" though....

Mentioned the same thing earlier this morning in the PGT.

Incredible.

Of course Suitor thought Duke caught the ball and Bailey didn't.

That's who is quoted in the article!

"Carvalho and Danny Boyko, AJ’s father, both said Gainey threw the ball with enough force to cause an injury."

Carvalho even reported it to the Bombers.

"After the game, Carvalho complained to the Bombers and the team notified the CFL, as per league protocol.

Late Thursday, the CFL said it would look into the complaint. The Roughriders didn’t respond to the Free Press."

Assuming the complainant is completely credible, which may be too readily accepted here because it’s a Rider on the other side.  “Hey, here’s a fan who chooses to get season tickets behind the opposing bench for the purpose of heckling players all the time (self-admitted) and dresses up in wrestling garb. Seems like a low key, mild mannered person would would never look to start a confrontation with the visiting team, minimize his own behaviour in inciting an incident or exaggerate a player’s  response.”

Hey, I have a picture of me standing beside Anna Kournikova at an autograph signing. Totally proves we are sleeping together!

Look, I am not saying an incident did not happen. Ball likely did go into the stands. I was at the game and did not see anything from my vantage point, and did not hear an auditory uproar from the stands behind the Rider bench which is common when an incident occurs. So being there is not necessarily proof or a way to shout down someone who wasn’t. And being there and not seeing it is not proof it didn’t happen. Lots of fans, big stadium, and the vantage point may only be available to a few select fans.

I’m just skeptical that it happened exactly the way the complainant lays it out. As was said, the victimhood portrayed in the article comes across as a bit rich to believe the throw was a violent as outlined. The kid says he was caught unaware of the throw and his uncle had to jump In to intercept it inches from his unsuspecting face. Yet he perfectly describes the “pro-level” wind-up and hard velocity throw. So did you see it coming or not?

For now, we have one side of the story, and it is self-serving (gets us a picture in the paper and publicly slags those dirty Riders to the media). Gainey’s version denying it would be equally self-serving (protect my reputation, which already has marks against it, and potential liability). I’d like to hear some unbiased third party witnesses or await the league response rather than get the “scoop” from the Freep unverified. But a story slagging the Riders for alleged reprehensible behaviour is red meat to many on this board akin to Trump saying “immigrants bring in drugs and are rapists” to people in MAGA hats. I’m not ready to buy in just yet, that’s just me and that’s all I am explaining in my comments.

League needs to look into this and suspend Gainey. Not Ok.

On Fajardo, I worry about his mental health and whether he is in the right market as Saskatchewan and Winnipeg can be rough on players.

What's that saying??? "Can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen."  Fajardo signed up to play QB when he was a little tyke, so he knows all the attention that comes with the position.  He gobbles up all the love, attention and "feelgood" when he does well, but doesn't want to accept the criticism when he falls short.  Unfortunately "good enough" for him will not always be "good enough" for others, especially when being paid a large salary to perform a highly scrutinized job under the spotlight.

He needs to learn to strap on a suit of armour if he expects to survive in a super competitive environment like professional football, where there can only be one winner, by default that makes everyone else a loser. As a leader of other men on the field all eyes are on him, so he needs to have the emotional and mental strength to deal with the responsibilities and pressures that come with the job, or opt out.  It's certainly not for everyone.

If you get hit with a ball or a puck for that matter in the stands, it's your own fault for not paying attention.

If you think the kid was the only one heckling, then then you may buy a bridge from me.

If you think a player would get so annoyed about a mild heckle, then then you may buy a bridge from me.

If you think a mouthy 17 year old is telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth, then then you may buy a bridge from me.

If you're still thinking about the Riders this week, then they are living rent free in you head.

yeah...tend to agree.....he loved all the social media love.....but the reverse was hard to take?....cmon dude...grow a pair

I have no sympathy or pity...especially seeing his pouting and antics on sidelines throwing his receivers and O.,C under the bus due to basically his inability to get things done

Source?  Clearly not from the article...

"Moments before the ball was thrown, Carvalho and Buckoski were taunting Gainey and fellow Roughrider Loucheiz Purifoy"

The 17 year old is neither Carvalho (who filed the complaint) or Buckoski.

Maybe it was a practice ball.

I thought each teams O had their own designated game balls and it was a penalty for the D to throw one of the opponent's balls into the stands?
