Obviously this game is always tough for us and maybe more so with Nichols out. Chris needs to have a more balanced game with more passing to beat the riders. If he can throw for 200-225 yards and our D keeps it close then we win.

I'm thinking Streveler rushes for 500 yards, including the winning touchdown with no time left on the clock. He struts to center field and spikes the football, only it isn't a football, it's steroids,

  • Love watching this vid before any game we play against the green gang.

dont like that they dont have a backup RB.

Augustine gets hurt just put Strevs in at RB and McGuire at QB.

its that even allowed?

Crap, they decided not to add Santiago.

To me, this just further validates their plan to use Demski/Whitehead in unorthodox running patterns more often.

That is an extremely thin offense.

They have Grant too as a receiver, but they are basically a couple injuries away from having some very interesting decisions in terms of who does what.  Could even see some guys from D go both ways.

Don't think they need to do that, they already have Petermann, I guess if they lose an Import receiver they will use Grant.

I count 7 without him. Flexibility I suppose.

Demski is the backup RB.

Williams takes Harris' spot, Adams for Matthews.

Need 21 NI's on roster.

Crazy to me they don't dress the 3rd QB.  What's the harm?  If they lose both QB's at least they have someone to put out there.

The riders are gonna be so excited to shut down the run that Streveler an the offence are gonna light them up through the air....

No   Unless they've changed rule 6 section 4 article 4

Article 4 — Designated Quarterback

Prior to the game, a team is required to designate three players who shall be permitted to alternate for each other during the game at the Quarterback position exclusively. Not more than one such player may be in the game at any time and none of the three can enter the game as a member of Team B.

With small rosters & injuries they have this rule? If a backup qb can play RB then he should be allowed. But that would be too logical.

ratio is not only about the 7 starters. but the overall composition of the roster. 21-Cdn, 20-Amer, 1 global

It's so they can't dress another player as 3rd QB and use him elsewhere.  Makes a lot of sense.  Otherwise the Bombers could dress McCallister, play him at DE and insist he's the 3rd QB.

Alright just to play devil's advocate here... couldn't they get around this rule by just listing Streveler at another position? List him at RB, then have him take snaps (no different than a direct snap to Harris, which sometimes is run)?

Santiago must feel pretty bummed out. No Way he's ever going to get onto this roster.

Yeah but how would that benefit the Bombers?  That means they have to sit another import.

I don't get why they didn't put Santiago on, take K.Jones off and then add D.Wright for Harris instead of Malcolm Williams. Gives you another running back and a NI to contribute on teams. Still allows you to use a DI on a DB and DE.

Wanted to see Santiago and a 3 headed running attack...

I know, no sense trying to fool anybody, Bombers win this game on the run or they don't win at all.  The more running weapons they can throw at the Riders the better.

I don't know that that's necessarily true.... I've been a vocal critic of Streveler as a passer but last year vs Mtl, he lit em up through the air. He CAN do it and we've got guys that can get open if there's a lot of man coverage...

Anybody know if the Bombers still stay at the SPA in Moose Jaw...or in Regina?

Milt was on the radio in SK yesterday talking about the days the Bombers stayed in Regina and some stupid Rider fans woke up Milt and Khari at 3 a.m. and they never got back to sleep and the Bombers got blown out so coach Ritchie said "No more of that. We're going to Moose Jaw from now on."

So Adams & Williams are in for Mathews....I'd take that trade off any day.
