(2019 Main Training Camp

Can’t remember a start to a main training camp where, even though we have openings at several spots (7?), we seem to have prepared to fill those spots with quality players and good prospects. 

Highlights coming into camp are the signings of Willie Jefferson and most certainly Chris Mathews. Not to mention the signing of all our draft choices, some of whom could be dynamic. 

We got bigger and better at receiver prospects.

We’ve stacked the defensive line to make it easier for Bighill. 

We’ve added defensive backs and linebackers to fill any perceived shortcomings. 

Little by little, day by day, shortcomings will be noticed and those players will fall by the wayside.

It’s training camp and the veterans will teach the newbies..in more than one way.

He had back to back bad snaps while I was there. He's really doing well blocking though, at least as far as I can tell.

Rose with text book coverage on Matthew's on a deep shot down rail..and Matthew's just steals it from him..he's gonna be huge for us...and Rose will erase memories of Randle..he is realllly good..has impressed me all day long

Bailey too..he can make cuts and moves in full stride without gearing down like Denny did..that endzone corner route/fade could be his bread and butter

Rose seems fast as hell back there 

Dale Warren had a nice pick in 1v1s against Augustine. Was stride for stride with him and grabbed the underthrown pass.

Lots of gadget plays today.

Matt Hazel looked lazy while I was there. Only approx 30 minutes of practice that I saw, so may have just been a bad moment for him, but he gave up on one deep pass, dropped another, then got yelled at by Lapo for running a bad route.

Nelson broke Boutte's (?) ankles after a quick pass.

Simonise had a nice deep td catch.

Lucky just torched Hect..Eli holding his own at moment during line play..only guy I have seen that the Richardson guy hasnt manhandled..that guy is a brick **** house 

I thought Richardson would make Nevis earn that spot.

He is s tank 

Gotta say..Wilie Jefferson is good..just owned Yoshi on back to back plays against him..and Jeffcoat did Bryant his last go at him..our ends are gonna raise some havoc

Simonise, Jefferson and Richardson are my top 3 standouts so far today. 

This guy is quick 

Is anyone paying Booch's expenses??

The fact he pretends to know how well Couture played in his limited opportunity is drivel. 

Considering he only says "and he didn't look good" or something like that makes me think he didn't actually watch anything he was involved in and is just taking someones word for it.

Oliveira has ripped off a couple nice runs late in practice.  Hazel is looking better in scrimmage than he did in drills.

1st bit of tempers flaring.  Yoshi had someone (Wilson I believe) pinned down behind the play.  Lachance came in and shoved Yoshi off which brought in other players for more pushing and shoving to wrap up practice.

Who's #74? Nothing on the roster that has that #. Maybe you mean 79?

Yes they will... yes they will. If not this year, then at least make it to the dance.

 

I would be happy is we won it next year though too. 30th anniversary of the drought... would make it an extra special victory.

Relaying info on who looks the best at certain positions doesnt mean a sunshine boy...just critiquing our camp talent at this time and who may stick

That being said..guys like Jejjerson..Jeffcoat..BIggie.Alexander..the 2 Bryant's.. yoshi..Harris..Adam's.. Matthew's.. Woli..DEmski..Medlock can be considered as top players at their positions..or top 3 in the league..so ya a lot of sunshine there to be honest.

Richardson and brandin bryant up the middle would be an insane mix of athleticism and speed in side. This is the big difference in modern athletes imo. The fast guys are way stronger and the big guys are way faster then they used to be.

No one talks much about B. Bryant.....but he was money, down the stretch, last year
