Going to try going with the two threads again for the off season.    One for Bomber news, one for CFL news.   These threads should be used for general / minor day to day news, tweets, etc.  A catch all for tidbits that people want to share to keep everyone up to date on the goings and comings of the league.

HUGE SIGNING.....Matthews..Demski..Woli..Adams and whomever wins the 5th spot looks pretty darn good to me to compliment Harris outta the backfield...If we were so start the season  now with that crew we are looking good..Woli and Adams will flourish now with Matthews taking a lot of attention

Wow, quite the look on these depth charts.. and they don’t include any of the recently drafted players who haven’t been signed yet. Exciting!

Adams and Matthew's on the outside will add a lot to this Offence.

MATTHEWS. YES! YES!

That is EXACTLY the playmaker this offense has been missing

Well, we finally got our man, and what a signing this is. A run for 1st place has not looked so good in a long time..

The only question mark (for me) on the depth chart ... 

WIL - Wilson or Temple have the inside track.... but give me Ackie, please !!!

C, RG, 5th WR and field-side CB - are question mark but we have the horses for those spots, it's just a matter of who is going to win it.

 

 

He's exactly what is needed in a Lapo/Nichols based offense.  A guy who due to his height is always an option to throw to.  A lot of the roll out and dumps can turn into deep ball attempts to matthews!

Now if we can land Ackie, basicallty can allow us to use him in lue of an import as a DI for his position, getting us another American as a DI on offence...dedicated returner/back-up receiver

Yeah..   I think this team is gonna be just fine.  We will have enough talent around those positions to ease the players in.  5th and field-side corner are fairly well protected positions.  Not huge volume is sent to weakside / 5th WR. I say we look at going with a Canadian at WR5 and let all the kids battle it out for fieldside corner. 

Center.. We the offensive line didn't look out of place when Speller started and its either going to be a more experienced version of him or a better player in Couture. Playing Simonise at WR5 means that if need be we can start Foketi who i don't think is a drop off from Chung or if Gray or our 4th overall pick are ready we go with one of them and let them grow.

I think we get a dedicated returner even without Ackie but that would be a plus.  DI's LB, K, Roh, Returner. 

On paper, I think this is a stronger team than last year and should compete for the top spot. 

Let's just there's no CFL work stoppage this season. 😂

 

Will Simonise gave up his # 13 ? 

Bombers confirm the signing..  3 year deal which is nice because he's only 29!

FANTASTICO......was waiting for this one........smiles a mile wide on Nichols and Streveler's faces with this signing....Bombers going all in this year

I wonder what his salary looks like compared to receivers of similar ilk who signed during the free agent frenzy. I have a feel we got a good value on him.

and for all the chicken littles and naysayers who yammer on about how free agency was a fail and we didnt address the biggest need..you just don't know the behind the scene and outside the media eyes discussions going on..Walters could have had all along a somewhat verbal commitment that if the NFL didn't pan out he wanted to sign back here...so when the bidding for the others got too crazy...smartly he backed out and sat on the cash....I do know one thing tho, last year Matthews would have preferred and wanted to resign back here...but dollar wise we couldn't make it happen
