Okay, so the off season officially begins now that the Grey Cup is over. Lots of topics for discussion in the months to come with the Bombers & the League. A new CBA needs to be negotiated sooner rather than later.  Will there be an eventual agreement or a lockout? How much will the salary cap go up? Randy Ambrosie is on record that wants the cap to significantly go up so that is a positive.  Will Bo Levi Mitchell sign with an NFL or perhaps another CFL team? What about Mike Reilly & Trevor Harris who are also free agents? There's a new start up league called the  AAFL & there are legit concerns that it'll draw star CFL players away or hamper free agent signings with CFL teams. Coaching changes in BC & Toronto. The continuing evolving story of the expansion Halifax Schooners & possible exhibition games in Mexico.

They are still clinging to the notion that the Bombers are evil and that Lapo is a hostage. I love it. In a week or so they will hire a coach and throw Lapo to the wolves by telling everyone they dodged a bullet by not getting permission to hire Lapo so that they could hire (insert new HC name here).

Yea....Stronson has about as much inside information on the CFL as my poodle does.

Others are now wanting Glanville... why would Hamilton say yes after Ottawa and Winnipeg denied. Hire from within. Spend the year fumbling and bumbling around. Axe the guys you dont want next year and rebuild. Is it really that difficult to comprehend?

Those stats look like what the riders points for-against will look like after a few games next year. 

7-11 season for the priders coming up. You heard it here first!

I too have gazed into my crystal ball regarding the Riders and it is bleak....very bleak.

Biggest reason they wanted Elizondo is they thought he would bring Trevor Harris (pending FA) with him....now, that's pretty much shot. They're going to have a mess of a time, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Kevin Glenn starting there on Day 1. No way Reilly wants to go there with the mess they've got.

2020 and 2021 1st round picks, 2022 3rd round pick that becomes 1st round if Lapo wins a Grey Cup with the Riders in 19, 20 or 21.

 

That would be my offer.  The only reason I care about Lapo heading elsewhere at this juncture is he knows all the secrets that would be useful to another team in free agency, draft etc.
