Okay, so the off season officially begins now that the Grey Cup is over. Lots of topics for discussion in the months to come with the Bombers & the League. A new CBA needs to be negotiated sooner rather than later.  Will there be an eventual agreement or a lockout? How much will the salary cap go up? Randy Ambrosie is on record that wants the cap to significantly go up so that is a positive.  Will Bo Levi Mitchell sign with an NFL or perhaps another CFL team? What about Mike Reilly & Trevor Harris who are also free agents? There's a new start up league called the  AAFL & there are legit concerns that it'll draw star CFL players away or hamper free agent signings with CFL teams. Coaching changes in BC & Toronto. The continuing evolving story of the expansion Halifax Schooners & possible exhibition games in Mexico.

the Sask lacrosse team, Saskatoon Rush, are having a "Darian Durant Night" at an upcoming game......an odd choice, given that he's currently a Bombers player for another month or so...

I wonder if there's anything in his contract with the Bombers that would prevent him from doing this? Maybe the Bombers could fine him. What size fine would be appropriate? 😉

I hope Durant wants to come back and play somewhere...and glad we hung onto him and I hope we play hardball for the crap he pulled...and as well for the Juvenile comments he made on twitter. We hold his rights...so if he wants to play somewhere as teams will have a need..tell him to go negotiate a deal, and then we will trade his arse for something of value..we have him over a barrel so to speak, and a desperate team may look to move an asset or something of value

I don't believe he will be...he's on the suspended/retired list as he for a lack of a better term "quit" on his team.....so if he ever decides to come back to play again down the road...he still owes that one year. Thats how it has been for ever, unless something has changed...bout doubt it...that is why we kept his rights

The Riders and Durant deserve each other. Good riddance. If the Bombers can get a cheese Whopper and fries, they should go for it.

Apart from the legalities, Durant would have been better than anyone else the Riders had behind center this past season. But that's a pretty low bar.

Apparently from what I've seen on twitter, Pederson has been hired as an on air sports personality at the Fan 960 here in Calgary which will probably go over like a lead balloon as he has criticized both Stamps fans & the players for years. 

Given how he played the past few years, I'd be fine with DD playing for the Riders in 2019.

I would assume the commish would have to approve a guy from un-retiring.   I would expect the Blue would contest his return since he scammed us for that money.  

Durant got a signing bonus....there are no conditions as they relate to it.....it is as stated a bonus for signing his name only. The issue as to whether he was suspended is that a player can only remain suspended until the date of free agency.
