  • I fully expect a new thread by Northern Skunk talking about how Nichols shouldn't have put on a toque after than win...

Yeah, who would want an offensive player who can contribute in the running and passing game, as well as the return game? Oh and who is a national. I mean I guess when your club has no national players

Congrats Blue Bombers on another playoff appearance. Go Bombers!

Stamps radio crew adamant Rodgers did have control & survived contact. even though he didn't have control according to the officials who kept yelling that at Dickenson. The radio crew is being biased as they would have heard the official yelling as the host was back in Calgary watching on television..  The host kept saying the only way the call would be upheld is if the officials didn't think Rodgers had control of the ball knowing darn well that is what the officials were saying to Dave Dickenson.  He was trying to look like a football expert by saying that & not being forthcoming. The radio crew in Winnipeg wouldn't have known what the officials were saying that so they kept saying he had control. The host Jock Wilson is one of those sports on air smart ass commentators.  Didn't surprise me he'd say that & not tell the football announcers at IGF what was being said.

Playoff team for a third straight year. That's all I care about right now.

It's definitely a great feeling to get the third winning season in a row under Mike O'Shea.

Btw he is the first Bomber head coach to do that since Ritchie from 2001-2003.  A big accomplishment very much too.

But I think at this point, we want to see this playoff clincher turned to a GC win.  It's overdue.

Well,  for sure once the playoffs start for real. Tonight, I'll just savour the accomplishment.

On Sports Center, BLM was asked about the fog. He responds “ that was smoke from them scoring and blowing their gun.” Honestly, maybe he got that right!

I heard that which is why he doesn't have the same respect fans have for Mike Reilly. I don't know if that was a compliment or insult. Well, we won so who cares?

Injuries or not the Stamps are going in the wrong direction

I did. Lol. It's great to watch.....an no silly walk after that first nice toss to Adams....he fist pumped and went and did it again....

Well you understand though now that this is why our coaches give him their full confidence because he has this kind of capability.

It was an iffy call. I would actually side with it being a touchdown. That being said- it was totally a make-up call for that abysmal spot on our third down push.

Meh- during that four game losing skid, I will forgive all those teeth gnashers... Those still shitting on the team or Nichols- can go eat a ****.

After the losing streak I said we were gonna get hot and make the playoffs and win the Grey Cup. So far so good. Being the smartest, most handsome guy in the room never gets old.

That sure looked like a td to me. I don't feel bad about it though.

Nope- that was a make up call for the shitty spot on our turnover on downs. I'll take that

Thats what I was thinking too...  it just dropped into the stadium because of an inversion

No- then he will be saying that "the wins are because of the team- if they loose, it's all on Nichols. Have my cake and eat it too *******!"

I really wanted the Bombers to win this game:

1) to make the playoffs

2) depending on the BC - Sask game tomorrow, to see how many substitutions this board will make for the Eskimo’s game.. Crikey, there won’t  be any regulars left...

What’s your hashtag? Asking for a friend.

I'm not apologizing for the Bombers getting a break on that call.... after that ridiculous four bounce off the helmet TD the football gods gave the Riders last game

Suddenly the playoffs are wide open...  anyone could win it this year

Except Edmonton.

First win over Calgary at home since 2009 aka Dinwiddie to Bryant. Calgary and BLM can suck it. Oh and Edmonton missing the playoffs the year they host the GC, Suck it.

Re: the disputed call at the goal line: in real time it looked like he didn't survive contact, so I understand the original call.

In ultra-slow-mo it looked like: a) the ball contacts receiver's hands and he has not yet breached the plane of the goal line b) as he breaches the plane he is still moving the ball (i.e. ball is not yet fully secured and in control) c) the defender now makes contact with the receiver, pushing him back out of the end zone (i.e. still before receiver has fully brought ball under control) d) as he goes to the ground, he now appears to secure control BUT...he is no longer in the score area e) the defender then rips the ball out a split second after the receiver is on the ground.

So, to sum up: the Calgary receiver never had full control of the ball while in the score zone PLUS there was not definitive, conclusive evidence to overrule the ruling on the field (which is the threshold required in order to overrule). Conclusion: that was not a touchdown, correct call made, both initially and in the video replay.
