Bomber Moves 2018

Sorry but I don't like the total silence coming out of Bomberville, but that's just me; I like action and news  like all of you.  Yes we've extended a contract or two and we are distributing the year-end money before the 2018 salary cap  comes in.

But what are the deep thinkers in our organization planning to do?

I hope they are not thinking status quo; that never seems to work out well. Unless we are dedicated to making sharp improvements here and there, I believe we atrophy from last year.

After the 2017 NFL cuts were made did we bring in any linebackers for a sniff? I saw other prospects up here but maybe I missed something.

We have got to fix what's broken and I think somehow management must know more than we do ... we are good prognosticators with our comments on this site but I would like management to show us up.

We are not hearing a lot of news out of the Calgary and Edmonton football clubs so maybe our Blue Bombers are an elite club now (as we join those two in their silence).

But man I hate twiddling my thumbs as I wait to see what our local gurus are going to do. No news is bad news, say the bored ...  Well at least were not coming off seasons like Ottawa Hamilton and Montréal had.

So maybe I should be grateful for our club and its management.

Say what you will about Mike O'Shea but no one can ever overstate how valuable he has been in turning around the perception and culture of this franchise.

  • TSN1290 reporting that SK offered the most money, but he chose Winnipeg.

The one Rigmadien connection I am hoping for is Micah Awe when/if  he returns to the CFL.

I don't care how good he was, I'm not a fan of Micah Awe because he plays dirty.  Saw him head hunting too many times.

Are you referring to Uncle Bob?

No, nerd reference actually.

Kingdom Come by Alex Ross.

Ross has some really nice accuracy. Love seeing that level of ball location. Throwing guys open, hitting the perfect spot for each pass, protecting wrs and the ball, especially how he consistently hits his man in stride and leaves running with out a hitch.  Looks to have above average athleticism, but still has strong pocket presence. Not the strongest arm but looks able to reach back for enough for the deep pass.  Undersized by modern nfl standards, small school big production spread offense less then great arm sounds like every qb already in the cfl lol.

Tyler Stewart sounds like a throw-in for training camp just to have enough arms to go around. Seems to be a typical NFL prospect QB but without any great strengths.

Johnson sure looks interesting. Tons of pass break ups, few blocked kicks, and looks like a very strong tackler. especially for his weight.

So....the Bombers have taken a Leak?

That took longer than I expected LOL

It could have been a reference to a Welsh onion as well.

NFL Draft discussion moved here

Browns pick T. Auston Corbett #33 overall. I'm guessing that even though Gray is a  Guard, this could still impact his status.

I read that the plan is to move Corbett inside.

you'd think at that size he's likely a DT.... if he had the speed to be an edge rusher, he'd probably be on an NFL roster...

He has the speed, an athletic freak according the draft reports, just was very raw. Reason why he bounced around the NFL

Is it just me or does it feel quiet for a cut down day around these forums..

Nobody has a clue about any of these players so it's a bit hard to post anything about it....

Wait till training camp and *if* a few people attend and write reports... things will pick up then.

I am curious who we nab in the draft especially our 1st rounder.

Starting to feel like it will be Bennett if there’s a run on OL early

dont think it will be a receiver

I think it will be an OL just hoping it will not be Godber.

I hope we take a run at Bo Lokombo now that he's been released actually...could allow us some flexability on defense and possibility to go 4 import receivers

Make him the second highest paid Cdn in the roster. I thought I heard that before. ?

Topped the West for STT with 24 in 2016.
