Wisconsin GOP Gov. Nominee Makes Terrible Promise About What Will Happen If He Wins

Donald Trump-endorsed Tim Michels was accused of saying "the quiet part out loud" to supporters on a campaign stop.  Tim Michels, the Republican nominee for governor of Wisconsin, promised a group of supporters this week that the GOP would seize permanent control of the state if he is elected in next week’s midterms.

“Republicans will never lose another election in Wisconsin after I’m elected governor,” the multimillionaire construction executive said during a campaign stop on Monday.

“They had a damn insider on SCOTUS”: Experts alarmed after Trump lawyer emails inadvertently leak

The emails also raise new questions about Justice Clarence Thomas' wife Ginni's contact with Trump attorney. Former President Donald Trump's lawyers believed that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was their best bet to overturn the results of the 2020 election, according to newly released emails.

Eight emails obtained by POLITICO revealed correspondence among Trump lawyers discussing legal strategies to convince Republican members of Congress to block the official certification of electoral votes on Jan. 6. The emails, which Trump legal adviser John Eastman tried to shield from Congress, were obtained after Eastman's lawyers accidentally uploaded the emails to be shared with the House Jan. 6 committee in a public Dropbox link.

In one email from Trump attorney Ken Chesebro to Eastman and others, Chesebro wrote that Thomas would "end up being key" to their plot to overturn President Joe Biden's win.

"We want to frame things so that Thomas could be the one to issue some sort of stay or other circuit justice opinion saying Georgia is in legitimate doubt," Chesebro wrote days before the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

As **** Face Alito scolds us in how it is very dangerous to question the proceedings and rulings of this self-important group of individuals each with their own personal agenda's hidden behind the statement 'we apply the rule of law as it's written'.

DeSantis’ stunt: Taxpayers had to pay for migrants to be flown to Florida before sending them off to Massachusetts

Adored by fellow MAGA Republicans but vehemently disliked by a combination of liberals, progressives, Democrats and right-wing Never Trump Republicans, far-right Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has become one of the most polarizing figures in U.S. politics. That polarization was evident when the Republican governor arranged for planes of migrants, many of them refugees from Venezuela, to be flown to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

DeSantis’ political stunt, many critics have pointed out, was obviously designed to “own the liberals,” as Massachusetts is a deep blue state that President Joe Biden carried by 33 percent in the 2020 presidential election. But right-wing media outlets were quick to defend DeSantis, arguing that if Massachusetts Democrats really cared about the migrants, they should be happy to take them in.

The Miami Herald’s Mary Ellen Klas, in a report published on November 3, stresses that before DeSantis could arrange for the migrants to be flown to Massachusetts, he had to first arrange for them to be flown into Florida.

Trump’s Efforts to Hide Cash From NY AG Shot Down in Court

Donald Trump’s desperate attempts to escape the wrath of the New York Attorney General were halted Thursday when a state judge there took the remarkable step of putting the former president’s company under court supervision—and preventing the billionaire from quietly shifting his money to avoid paying millions in fines.

Justice Arthur F. Engoron intervened at the AG’s request, ordering the appointment of an independent monitor to ensure that the company can’t secretly move assets out of the law enforcement agency’s reach or keep issuing fraudulent financial statements.

“There’s going to be a monitor,” he said in a Manhattan courtroom midday Thursday.

The Trump Organization—the real estate company that propelled Trump into international fame—and its family leadership are accused of engaging in a blatant and long-running bank and tax fraud scheme. Documents filed in court meticulously describe how Trump and the adult family members he made executives there—Don Jr., Ivanka, and Eric—persistently inflated the size and value of property to snag better bank loans and claim bigger tax breaks. They now face a $250 million lawsuit from New York AG Letitia James which seeks to cripple the corporation.

She hopes to put the Trumps on trial in 2023, just as Trump is expected to pursue his political ambitions in a return to the White House.

Trump has already taken actions that indicate he might be doing exactly what the AG fears: playing corporate games to avoid accountability.

In recent weeks, he opened a new corporation in the shell company capital of Delaware, comically called “Trump Organization II.” And on Wednesday, he filed a state lawsuit in Florida’s Palm Beach County against the AG’s office trying to keep it from ever accessing any funds he shelters in a legal entity known as a “trust.” The lawsuit seeks a judicial order “declaring that James has no jurisdiction over the assets of a Florida revocable trust.”

'Worthless': Newly unearthed emails show Trump lawyers' meltdown as 2020 election lawsuits imploded

Axios reporter Jonathan Swan has uncovered a new trove of emails that show Trump lawyers going into full meltdown mode as their legal efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election imploded.

The emails in question date from December 30th, 2020 until January 8th, 2021, and they show that Trump lawyers continued to push to overturn the election even after Trump supporters launched a deadly riot at the United States Capitol that sent lawmakers fleeing for their lives. The emails also show significant infighting, particularly between lawyers Cleta Mitchell and Bruce Marks after Marks apparently botched a complaint that was intended to challenge the certified results in Georgia.

"They've done squat on this new case after saying it was all ready to go," Mitchell wrote in an email to Trump adviser Boris Epshteyn on December 31st. "This 'team' of Bruce's is worthless. BRUCE IS WORTHLESS. So sick of them."

The emails also show Marks expressing concern about putting Trump's name on a lawsuit that was riddled with false claims about voter fraud in Georgia, which he believed could leave Trump open to legal prosecution.

"I don't know why we would place this burden on the President in a suit which will receive substantial attention and scrutiny," argued Marks, who was eventually overruled by other Trump lawyers.

Finally, the emails show that Trump lawyers continued to plow ahead with their attempts to overturn the election even after the deadly riots at the United States Capitol.

Regarding continued efforts to overturn the results in Georgia, Mitchell said in an email sent on the night of January 6th that she "spoke with POTUS and he said do the best we can" to get the results thrown out.

Kari Lake Promises To Arrest FBI Agents Over Policy That Doesn’t Exist

“I don’t believe parents are terrorists at all. And I’ll tell you what. If I were governor right now, and Joe Biden even thought he was gonna send his FBI or DOJ in to start coming after our parents, they would be met at the airport with the state police and arrested for going after our rights. We finally, as parents, have to rise up and say, ‘No, we’re gonna take this anymore, and they call us terrorists. That’s unbelievable. We’re in an upside-down world, and we need to right it.’
That sounds concerning. Joe Biden might send “his” FBI and DOJ to come after parents? Forget that State Police cannot arrest the FBI if they are doing their jobs, it is unbelievable that the FBI would be “sent” to arrest parent terrorists.

Literally “unbelievable” because none of this exists in the real world, and Kari Lake is tapping into the Qanon conspiracy ecosystem, the favorite habitat of the rabid MAGA voter who might otherwise be too lazy to vote.

The actual FBI memo doesn’t mention parents, only the safety of teachers and district staff:

Threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation’s core values. Those who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring that our children receive a proper education in a safe environment deserve to be able to do their work without fear for their safety.

The Department takes these incidents seriously and is committed to using its authority and resources to discourage these threats, identify them when they occur, and prosecute them when appropriate.

In the coming days, the Department will announce a series of measures designed to address the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel.

So, wait. Not all parents are terrorists? The FBI  only plans to stop the death threats and aggressive action toward other state employees. like teachers and administrators? So, it would seem that the FBI doesn’t call parents terrorists. No, the FBI calls terrorists “terrorists.” If a parent has concerns and goes to meetings and speaks their mind loudly, he or she isn’t a terrorist; that person is a concerned parent. But if a parent or ISIS leader goes to a school board meeting and says that he knows where they all live and they are signing their death warrants, that person is a terrorist, parent or not.

Yet again, it’s Lake who lives in an upside-down world. Katie Hobbs, win or lose, committed the greatest act of political malpractice ever by refusing to debate this person. Pffft, “state troopers arresting FBI agents there to take in parents because they’re terrorists.” Only Kari Lake would make such an assertion.

Republicans Are Now Going Door To Door To Intimidate Voters.

Republicans have gone beyond intimidating voters at drop boxes and have started going door to door to harass those who might vote for Democrats.

-Reuters reported on an incident in California:

The canvassers in California’s Shasta County in September wore reflective orange vests and official-looking badges that read “Voter Taskforce.” Four residents said they mistook them for government officials.  But the door knockers didn’t explain where to vote or promote a candidate, the usual work of canvassers ahead of a big election.

Instead, they grilled residents on their voting history and who lived in their homes, probing questions that might have violated state laws on intimidation and harassment, according to the county’s chief election official.

These sorts of incidents have happened in 19 states, where Trump supporters have taken the tradition of door-to-door canvassing to get out the vote and turned it into a harassment and intimidation technique designed to both discourage from voting, and if they do vote, challenging their ballots.

In Michigan, Trump supporters plan to use the data that they gathered while harassing and intimidating voters to challenge votes.

Trump and his supporters are using the traditional tools of democracy to attack democracy itself.  The United States hasn’t since this level of voter intimidation since the Civil Rights era.

A huge part of Trump's followers are evangelicals.  You know - those people who give money they don't have to charlatans who already own 2 or more private jets.
