Bombers Award Nominees
Cornish just missed too many games. Foley might seem like a toad, but it's been a pretty good year for him. Hajrullahu wasn't a unanimous choice for the Canadian award. I wonder who else got considered. Kohlert? I'm wavering back and forth, but I think I disagree with this. Considering the time that he was in, what Cornish was able to do was pretty outstanding. Foley had a good year, but I wouldn't consider it award-winning. I also have a hard time accepting Bowman as MOP. He, Elimimiam, Cornish, Chick and Willy all had great seasons, but Elimimian is the only one whose play didn't tail off midseason. He's my front-runner.

Starting 3 Canadian receivers next season?
It definitely could not be done with Denmark and Bryant, that's for sure.

Starting 3 Canadian receivers next season?
Exactly. Doesn't necessarily mean we start 3 NI receivers at all times either. Could be a set we see to allow Anderson and Turner on the field at the same time or something along those lines. They have to be able to create different packages to get certain guys on and off the field.

Which Coaches Do You Want Back?
I really don't think positional coaches have much bearing, so bring back anyone that the coaches like - change them out if there were issues or if our coordinators change and have other people that they feel more comfortable with. Keep O'Shea, obviously. Not enough time to judge a rookie coach and there was some moderate improvement over past year. MB - I posted on the other site that I like the idea of keeping Willy in the same system. It would be hard on a young QB to change to his third system in three years. However, I have concerns about how many sacks that MB-led QBs have taken. I want MB back if he can make a plausible plan for protecting our QB, regardless of OL personnel. Etch - I think he is missing players and that he was handicapped by ratio. I think if he hadn't been forced to sit Sears, if he was able to start Anderson (and if Anderson didn't get hurt), if we had a pass rushing DE or two, his scheme is not an issue. I think our D kept us in more games than many of us will admit.

Favourite team after the Bombers
I've always secretly rooted for Edmonton. Was a big fan of Ricky Ray and cheered for Edmonton over Montreal in all of the Greys Cups they got matched up in during the 2000s. Now Reilly has won me over as well.

Bombers Make 7 Roster Changes vs Stamps
Can't 6-game players at this point of the season to keep teams from doing exactly that. When is the cutoff? After a team plays it's 15th game.

Bomber free agents
Interesting...sure. Just as interesting as any opinions on this forum though. A lot of opinion...some fact based...some not so much. Nice to get a good idea of who is coming up for FA though so thanks to the blogger for that. Anyone know whose blog that is? Writing and opinion seem familiar. Thought so too. Don't agree with a whole lot of what was said, but it was a good read.

Mike O'Shea's MOP
If it truly was the most outstanding player who won these awards, and not the QB or most successful offensive player, LH would easily be the winner. Followed by Randle at DB. Seeing as how this is really the best offensive weapon, I think Denmark deserves the nod.

Would You Rate Willy 5th Best?
We hope Willy can push himself ahead of guys like Glenn, Collaros, and the two other guys, but he hasn't this season. You can blame our OL, our injured receiving core, or the beatings he has taken, but Willy hasn't proven he can score in the red zone or elevate those around him. Right now, I have him ahead of the Ottawa-version of Burris, and Crompton, but he hasn't shown more than anyone else yet.

Football Operations
Last month I pulled in the Bomber lot in the morning to go to the store and thought I could get used to doing this every day. Ugh. Retail. Based on all the ranting that is done on the various discussion boards about the Bomber organization, I would hate actually being a part of the team that has to deal with the general public in any way.

Scoring League Wide
There is an expansion team, which has made the talent pool a little thinner (which significantly affects OL and NIs). There are three new starting QBs. Multiple QBs and RBs have been injured throughout the year.

Just trying to channel his inner Andy Dalton.

Tweaking Our Current Receivers
I definitely don't think it's an OC's job to take a FB, line him up at receiver, and then create a scheme for him to be open (other than perhaps once every other few games where he takes off out of no where for a first down, which is exactly what they've been doing).

Vega Healthy Scratch for Sunday
Now that would be amazing.

Willy injured at practice
In other words MOS has to stop thinking like a defensive coach & make sure his qb is protected at all time. Every team I've been with & the pro practices I have seen let the qb throw the football & never lay a hand on the guy or come close enough to touch him. Even if the qb is "sacked" on a play when they scrimmage. In other words, when it's obvious protection broke down & in a game the qb would have been sacked he still throws the pass & finishes the play. I know defensive coaches & players have a different perspective on the game from their offensive counterparts & have their motors running all the time but they can't hurt their qb in practice. Part of the process of learning on the job for MOS. From what I understand, Willy hit his hand on a helmet during his follow-through, the defender didn't actually hit him in any way.

Riders Trade Dwight Anderson to Argos
Works for both sides, I think. Riders wanted to get rid of him and TO has got to be desperate for some CFL experience in their secondary. But the list of teams that is becoming disenchanted with Anderson is quickly expanding across the entire league.

Bombers extend Thomas & Sherman
Sherman is really impressing me with his increased role this season. Count me as someone eating a bit of crow as I never thought he would even be on the team in 2014 if you had asked me a couple of seasons ago. He has stepped up when we needed our guys (especially role-filling Canadians) to step up. Great job.

Hamilton @ Corner Gas
Collaros is looking terrible. And it looks like he just killed Gable.

Hamilton @ Corner Gas
Tough runner. You can't give all of the credit to the OL when he's dragging guys forward the way he is. It will be interesting to see how he does this season.
