  1. I watched a bit of the third Q last night, didn't see him out there... when did he play? #38 still?... did see former Rider Brian Peters playing for Minny though...
  2. I think this idea that he'll only play for Sask is a riderfan created myth... sure there are a handful of players that have chosen to play at home in Green, but I would say it's far from the norm...
  3. Well at 6-1 last year, i thought there was NO WAY we miss the playoffs.. We will only need to win atleast 3 more games to make it. I was wrong.. so wrong. we were never 6-1...5-1.. then 6-3... then the losing really started... but your point is still valid...
  4. Really unfortunate news for Heenan... this might have been his one and only shot...
  5. Do you have a job? Maybe you should ask the Freep or Sun to start paying you a salary!
  6. it's fun to see the coaches going for it in these situations, instead of the predictable plays. Seen more fake kickoffs, fake punts, and so on this year, than usually happen in an entire season. sometimes it works… like Ticats the other day. That was a great play. I like this new attitude of the coaches. Jones doesn't bother me at all. Seems to be a really good coach too. Agreed, but there has to be situational consideration... kicking a 48-yarder to tie, in a dome, with a kicker who is 100% on the season should be a no-brainer...
  7. If anything these QB injuries might be their saving grace... They can claim you can't expect to win with the top 2 QBs out for the year... and say they didn't want to mortgage the future to trade for one...
  8. LOL. Did Mack even know Greaves existed? Considering Mack drafted him late as a DL, recognizing his potential as an OL project, I'd argue that Greaves was probably Mack's smartest pick during his entire tenure, right up there with taking Henoc over Scott Mitchell. If only that's how it actually went down. The true story is far more hilarious. Care to enlighten us?
  9. The only issue I have with this list is that Mosaic isn't in 15th place... easily the shittiest football stadium I've ever been in... but I guess "atmosphere" comes into play as well... For reference sake... I've been in Canad Inns, IGF, Mosaic, Commonwelth, and the Metrodome... so I guess not a long list of references
  10. Curious that they're going with Chad Simpson... has Bell been regressing since his big debut?
  11. I guess CFL experience means more than talent...
  12. completely agree.... people around here would "hate" Taman a lot less if we had got that 2007 GC... even if everything else in history happened exactly as it did between then and now...
  13. Didn't see a thread started for this... WINNIPEG, MB., August 5, 2015 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announce today the club has added International linebacker Carlton Littlejohn, and International running back Tyler Thomas to the practice roster. Littlejohn (6-1, 219, North Dakota State, August 6, 1992, in Minneapolis, Minnesota) played 59 games over four seasons with the North Dakota State University, including 43 starts. He finished his college career fourth all-time on the NDSU tackle list with 345. He also notched 11 sacks, and finished two forced fumbles shy of the school record, with eight. In 2014, Littlejohn was named to the All-MVFC First Team, and was named a College Sporting News National All-Star. Thomas (5-9, 205, Bacone, September 28, 1990, in Jackson, Mississippi) most recently spent time with the Eskimos in 2014 where he ran the ball 50 times for 295 yards and one score. He also added 79 yards and one major off of 14 receptions. During his senior season at Bacone College in 2012, Thomas ran the ball 133 times for 822 yards and eight scores. That year he was named the team’s offensive MVP. The club has also transferred International linebacker Tony Burnett to the six-game injured list. via bluebombers.com
  14. Why do you say that? Before he was drafted, he said it was his lifelong dream to play for the Bombers. You think the Riders 0-6 start to the season has made him fall in love with Regina? I've heard he was looking forward to playing and living elsewhere after spending his whole life here, at least for the first few years of his career anyways. Where did you hear this? Not from Nic personally, but from multiple Bisons(many of which he's good friends with). I'll take that truth over whatever he's said in the media. This makes sense... I love Winnipeg and I'll probably live here for life... but if I had to opportunity to live and work in Vancouver or Toronto for 3-5 years that would probably be a cool experience...
  15. You guys definitely have us beat hands down when it comes to the cheerleaders. A tip of the hat to the Bombers for assembling a fine group again this year Toronto ain't bad either... Is it wrong that the Argos are now my second favourite team?
  16. I'm thinking if both or either of these guys end up making their way to the CFL it will be after their peak years... maybe around age 30... like Westerman... could still provide a nice late-career boost to as team...
  17. Just flipped over to OB to read just out of curiousity... I know these "troll-type" are poisonous to fan forums... but man is it entertaining to read...
  18. Now he should come clean and tell them there next 12 games are lost as well. I guess they gotta go 12-0 now to meet Taman's prediction... it's not over yet!
  19. Ouch, that one's gotta hurt... the only game I regret leaving early was thanksgiving day, 2010, vs BC.. Brink started and Jyles came in to clean up... I'm sure we all remember that one... ended up listening to the end of the game in the car! I have Clint Kent jersey... he was a good player while here... problem was a got the jersey in the offseason before he was cut...
  20. The idea of cutting Moore right now is comically premature... if Veltung, Adams, and Gordon continue to improve and impress I could see Moore not being re-signed this off-season... but he's not going anywhere today...
  21. I kinda hope the riders get a win before labour day... I'd hate to go in there for the LDC while they're still Owen...
  22. I'm really liking the progression of Khalil Bass... it seems to me that while Hurl is on the 'cowboy' formation near and around the LOS, Bass seems to play in the more traditional MIKE role, filing gaps, covering the middle and sniffing out the RBs... anyone else seeing that?
  23. Sympathy for Kevin Glenn and some of his teammates?... sure Sympathy for the Rider fan base?... Never... maybe 20 years of 0-18 and I might change by mind...
