  1. the power rankings are useless at the best of times... much less after week one... but I'd say this is fairly accurate based on what we know right now
  2. I believe it technically would have been in favour of Teague Sherman... ratio issues... speaking of Sears and other former Bombers... Sears, Jovon, and Hefney all had INTs in week one...
  3. Haha "animal farm" reference... I like where this is going
  4. I think we can thank Garth Butchko for that disaster.... who, has we all know, is long gone by now
  5. You mean corner?... but yes I agree, I think he may stay there til one of the new guys is ready... I think Burnett will be a good candidate
  6. *shows up to the thread late* what did I miss guys??
  7. They still have Labatte, Best, Emry, Getzlaf, Bagg, Messam... Pretty good core of Canadians.Messam and Emry are marginal or worse. And yet still better than what we have. AKA a non existent Canadian running back and Sam Hurl until proven otherwise. Gotta love the people saying Getzlaf and Bagg are on the wrong side of 30 then pointing at Picard as a reason why our Canadians are improving. Can't have it both ways. The TSN grades are fair. We have lots of potentially great Canadians but until they prove it on the field you can't expect anyone to give the Bombers anything more than a barely passable grade. yes, you can, actually... skill position players generally tend to decline after 30... while guys in the trenches, especially O-linemen, tend to still be effective into their 30s... some hogs don't peak until their early 30s... Easy to generalize like that but when you look at the facts, Bagg and Getzlaf were #1 and #4 in terms of Canadian receivers last season. Yes they have flaws but so does every Canadian in the CFL... they are still premier Canadian receivers. Since this is based solely on predictions we only really can generalize... and in this case it's much more likely to see Getzlaf and Bagg continue to decline than any o-lineman over 30...
  8. If healthy, I might have Gaydosh ahead of Steele
  9. I'd like to hear you're in depth analysis to back this one up... Chungh was considered by many as the best player in the draft... based on rankings Richards, went about where he was projected... Morgan was maybe about 5 spots early...

  11. Dammit I almost made it all the way through the thread without seeing my "dark horse" pick... But I'm still taking Tyrell Sutton...
  12. It's funny when you think of it that way... ask any team (forget cap and such) which of those two players would you rather have? I think Cornish should be #1... but otherwise I don't really care to analyze this list too much... there's far too many 'errors' to break down...
  13. This sounds familiar, like I've read it before... did you just steal this directly from a Penton article? Should probably at least give credit where it's due...
  14. They still have Labatte, Best, Emry, Getzlaf, Bagg, Messam... Pretty good core of Canadians. That core is pretty thin after LaBatte and Best... Getzlaf and Bagg are on the wrong side of 30, Emry is coming off a down year and Messam is ok at best... I would say we would rank pretty close with Sask, Edm, Mtl and Tor... Mtl's biggest NI strength is that they start 5 O-lineman... Cats and Stamps are far ahead of everyone...
  15. I can't a have a ton of sympathy for him... you hear about 5th string RBs in the NFL camps that miss one block or drop one fumble and they're done... that's the reality of being 5th string... you're an extreme long shot... if they had brought in one of the Americans from mini camp and the same thing happened, would this be a story??
  16. some fans: "I'M OUTRAGED WE HAVE NO VETERANS ON DEFENSE!" *Bombers sign veteran DB/LB* same fans: "THIS GUY IS TOO OLD AND HE'S USELESS! I KNOW BETTER THAN THE TEAM!"
  17. Maybe he was hoping he'd get a call from the Bombers if there were some TC injuries... But anyways that was a great message from Vega... very classy move... I was disappointed when we released him... from a personal perspective... I understood if from a football perspective...
  18. He's only a couple inches shorter than Jamaal Westerman. Latanzio: 6' 260 lbs - Westerman: 6'3" 260 lbs. Imo, he is small for a DT in the CFL but certainly not for a DE and he got a motor for it. Have anyone seen him lined up as DE during TC? I think 6 feet is fairly generous...
  19. Bombers coulda drafted Maxx Forde in round 4, 5, or 6 this year if they had an interest in him
  20. It's almost like O'Shea and his staff know more than a bunch of randoms on a fan site... no, that can't be right...
  21. Als - don't think either team is very good but the Als are a bit better... Stamps - Hammy looks like they're probably the 2nd best team in the CFL this year... unfortunately they play the best week 1 Esks - hard to bet on the argos Bombers - homer pick??... ABSOLUTELY!
  22. I guess that's point of Ryan Smith, 23 (rider fans, known never to exaggerate, calling him the next Dressler)... and Demski, 22...
