in hindsight the prices really are crazy... I paid $199 for my P8 (or whatever the lowest P is) seat and that was with the $100 STH discount...

I found some footage of other teams using MB's schemes!

despite the unnecessary outgoing shot at MB.... this is actually some really cool footage... -
Not to mention he borderline revolutionized the slot position...

Wonder if Hamilton resigns Bulcke and Laurent... especially with Gaydosh set to return from injury next year... Also wondering what's up with Evan Gill... does he have nagging injuries that could affect his career?

As someone who has been in the stands for all but 2 or 3 games over the last 12 years... I can tell you that there are a lot of younger fans... some winning will bring those numbers up even more... just waiting for the winning...

the only candidate on that list that doesn't make sense is Maas... why would he leave Ottawa?... the other ones seem viable...

This is exactly right... especially with the media voting... they will never pass the good story...

Wouldn't really care to see Laing here. From what I see though, that's one long list of key free agents. Laing can be a dirty player... but my tolerance level for that stuff goes up when he's our dirty player...

I deleted the gifs for convenience... but I just wanted to say this was one of the funniest posts I've seen in a long time...

I always get disappointed when I log on to see that Rich or Voodoo has deleted posts... damn, I missed some good bickering...

They didn't crank ticket prices up in Calgary though. Tonnes of $35 - $45 tickets available too which is the same price those seats sell for in the regular season. If teams choose not to sell playoff games as part of their regular season packages, which I believe Calgary does not do, then it will be tough to sell 35,000 individual tickets for semi-final games. The best the league will do is move the season up one more week so the first week of the regular season does not overlap with the final week of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Another factor is the draft. The league will not move the season up any earlier than mid-June (late-May for training camp) due to the NFL and CFL draft. People need to accept this. If by some crazy chance we see a 10th team in the CFL, the Grey Cup will happen an additional week earlier in mid-November. Here's hoping... I was thinking yesterday how nice it would be to have a Grey Cup in Winnipeg in mid-November in 10 degrees...

If you're not sure what a hashtag is just search for it in twitter... like I did when I had no idea what this one meant... to learn it means We Will Move On... -
Hey, this doesn't work at all!!

Why does that matter? If it works... He takes some of the main concepts he learned from Milo... throws in his own wrinkles... and you have a successful offense... Which is what Milanovich did. He learned from Trestman's and added his own wrinkles. Hard to imagine that Montreal coaching staff at one point was Trestman at HC, Milanovich at OC and Burke at DC...

I guess it matters too if he is skilled enough to make the in game adjustments. That I don't know. I'm probably gonna be happy with whoever they hire provided they have CFL experience and understand they need to keep Willy upright not just through blocking schemes but smart play calling. Good point... would also be interested to know if Brady or Milo call the plays...

Would love to get him, but why would he want to come here? I can't think of any reasons. - He has worked with O'Shea... - The old "best shot at an HC gig" reason... - new challenge?... - Maybe he really likes and wants to work with Drew Willy and some of the talent we have here.... - Miller does a good sales pitch on the direction of the franchise... just a few off the top of my head... could be one or more of these reasons.... could be other reasons I haven't thought of...

Again... not one single person said that... 7-11 or 8-10 is close to .500... 9-9 is exactly .500 ...10-8 or better is over .500... I think that's universally accepted terminology... So you're saying if the team goes 11-7 next year... gets 2nd in the west... maybe makes it to the west finals... that's not good enough for you?
-
So what record will O'Shea have to achieve next year to earn another contract? 9-9? 10-8? Surely it must be better then .500. Not one single person said "close to .500"... every response before yours said minimum 9-9 or better... I agree we should be looking at 10-8 or 11-7... don't make stuff up to ridicule every poster on this forum...

This one is the most intriguing one for me... what does he mean by "gets the opportunity"... Does he know that Brady will be let go at season's end?... what's wrong with his current opportunity? Let's hope those "in the know" actually know what they're talking about...

Westerman & Adams named West All-Stars
bearpants replied to bigg jay's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I have to agree. Jovon is way over rated. I think the fact that he has the name power from years gone by that he got the nod. Other than the Bomber game he was pretty invisible for Ottawa. I look forward to him crashing out and being divisive the way he was with Winnipeg after his award year. After his award he couldn't cover anything and was routinely beaten for bundles of yards. That's exactly it... most of the voters are media guys who will vote for a name over a no-name when they aren't sure...
