This makes no sense. What difference does it make where your QB's came from? I care more about how they play. McManus also did nothing as a Blue Bomber and had a hall of fame career as a "castoff" playing for other teams. Kind of kills your whole idea, doesn't it? This argument has been tried many times... some people just conveniently forget Calvillo was a "cast-off"... as was Damon Allen, several times... and Matt Dunnigan... and Marve looks like he has some serious potential... which team was he cast off from again?

The idea of promoting Buck to OC is crazy... nobody has any idea if he is even remotely close to being qualified as an OC...

Watching some of those scrambles makes you nervous... and you know it's not sustainable... but man, Marve is exciting to watch and you have to think he gives the team a better chance to win...

I'd like to see what Scott can do... I know that technically gives us a thunder/thunder combo... but whatever, even if both guys give a similar skill set it would still help to wear down defenses... can't believe I'll use the Riders as an example... but look at the success they were having with the Messam/Allen combo... I hope to see Scott there too but Thomas has KR skills so I'm guessing that might get him the nod. Messam & Allen is a bigger version of thunder and lightning combo. I guess... but Allen is bigger than Marshall... so maybe we should call it thunder and thunder storm

And I believe he signed an extension along with Barker... nice dream to have but I'd max it at about 0.1% chance of happening...

Not a bad line up but the problem is we'd need Thomas and Westerman on the field full time if we want to maintain 3 NI on D... a crazy thought/suggestion... Waggoner or Newman at DIME.... we saw Sherman there last year... even crazier thought.... Sherman at Safety with Leggett at DIME...

You forgot to mention the conspiracy theory thread that suggests the CFL is behind them losing this year.....I can't even make this up! actually just scrolled through this thread a bit... it's basically the guy who started it saying there's a conspiracy theory... and everyone else making fun of him... it's a pretty funny thread, and not in the "rider fans whining" type of funny, like real funny...

I've posted on here several times that I believe the protection problems are a result of (in order):1. Bellefeuiles schemes 2. Willy holding the ball too long and pre-snap reads/adjustments 3. OL talent/coaching Good call... if you think it's one issue, and one issue only... you're clearly not watching the game... there are always several issues contributing to a major problem... I agree that if we fix the first issue on this list, it makes the biggest difference...

I watched a bit of the third Q last night, didn't see him out there... when did he play? #38 still?... did see former Rider Brian Peters playing for Minny though...

I think this idea that he'll only play for Sask is a riderfan created myth... sure there are a handful of players that have chosen to play at home in Green, but I would say it's far from the norm...

it's fun to see the coaches going for it in these situations, instead of the predictable plays. Seen more fake kickoffs, fake punts, and so on this year, than usually happen in an entire season. sometimes it works… like Ticats the other day. That was a great play. I like this new attitude of the coaches. Jones doesn't bother me at all. Seems to be a really good coach too. Agreed, but there has to be situational consideration... kicking a 48-yarder to tie, in a dome, with a kicker who is 100% on the season should be a no-brainer...

If anything these QB injuries might be their saving grace... They can claim you can't expect to win with the top 2 QBs out for the year... and say they didn't want to mortgage the future to trade for one...
