  1. And this from a man who uses George Orwell as his avatar. Nope. That's gotta be Nicola Tesla.
  2. Neufeld may not be aware of it, but that ship seems to have already sailed.
  3. I'm not entirely sure, but I think that having a load of manure dumped on your front lawn is a marriage proposal in Saskatchewan. Or at least a gesture of endearment.I thought it was looked upon as a right of....passage.Only for the cows.
  4. You mean we can't measure the win in inches? Nope. Gotta measure in millipeters or something like that.

  6. Greece's problems are neither capitalist or socialist. All their problems stem from the fact that everyone wants to work only two hours a day, pay no taxes, and retire at 45 on a full pension. Somehow no one in Greece is capable of doing basic math, otherwise they would see their way of life is unsustainable. When you stop working for a living and just vote for a living you end up like Greece. They never should have been let into the EU. Right on. The problems have been years in the making, pretty much the same as California where a certain Austrian-born governor managed the economy by cutting taxes (always popular) and borrowing to cover state expenses. California has been broke for about a decade but no one wants to call the markers in, but Greece has not had any such luck. Iceland tried the same approach. And by the way, the financial advisor Greece has had on retainer for the past 12 years is....Goldman Sachs.
  7. Who'da thunk that the Riders would be so desperate and McCallum would such have such low standards.
  8. Knowing when to duck and when to run kept Wayne Gretzky from being pulped. That and Dave Semenko.
  9. Is it April 1st already?
  10. And this from a man who uses George Orwell as his avatar. Very passe'- 1984 is long gone.
  11. Pretty funny- nice to see the players in their relaxed moments.
  12. And don't forget about Crump and Czap.
  13. It is starting to look like second place in the West will go to whomever has a healthy quarterback. When I saw Reilly go down for the second and final time in the game, it felt like watching Willy get hammered in the Labour Day Classic against Sask. Thank God Walters and O'Shea went whole-hog (sorry, Denny and Buck) on upgrading the Bomber O-line.
  14. Gotta be Marshall with Hammy's depleted d-line.
  15. Oh no! How can we cope without having a place to bicker?
  16. Rider fans have never hesitated in anointing themselves as the best fans in Canada and never talk about the crappy managing, coaching and players they accepted for decades.
  17. Even if it ain't broke, you fix it anyways.
  18. It was obvious that Portis had shown that he had hit his ceiling and it wasn't high enough. From the short video clip, Davis looks like he's a run-first quarterback and in the CFL, that isn't a compliment. Posey: meh.
  19. No one ought to revel in another team's player being injured, much less a potentially career-ending injury. When an injury that severe happens, it also impacts the player's person life with chronic, depressing pain.
  20. With Durant hors de combat for the rest of the year, Chamblin will probably get a mulligan for 2015.
  21. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned already but the Freep today reported that the Bombers' D gave up almost 500 yards. Ouch-can't let that happen again or we're hooped.
  22. This is a "suck it up" year for the Argos and we are going to have to put up with it just like when the Ti-Cats were essentially homeless.
  23. As a mark of Durant's committment to "his" team, I believe someone posted a picture of him leaving the stadium well before the end of the game.
  24. I'm betting that Durant is done, and Reilly must be pretty close to that as well. And one more owie for Lulay and he becomes a statistic.
  25. As satisfying as this win was, I suspect that the D-line and linebackers will be the subject of much discussion this week among the coaches and Walters. We need more push up the middle and better contain from the linebackers. I don't know if we can hang all the problems on Hurl if the Sask O-line were getting off the line cleanly and burying the linebackers.
