  1. If Jones dumps Durant, as stupid as that might be, it will signal to the Rider fans that he has officially descended into dementia.
  2. This may be the end of a great career. The injuries are piling up and the bounce-back just isn't there any more. The league is the poorer for the loss of such a warrior.
  3. In Blue and Gold his record in games he started and finished was 12 and 29, so his record is not .250, it is .360- not much better, and not enough to inspire confidence. You can say, "yes, but" and cite various factors, but as John Madden said, "You are what your record says you are".
  4. And Ripper says,"We, white man?"
  5. Except that Jones' ego will not allow him to admit the season is over for the Riders, and thus Durant is not going to be traded.
  6. The problem is that we absolutely know who we have as backup QB- a .250 winning pivot. Is that good enough? Is Willy actually better than that?
  7. Nah. They will be hit by gunfire from a grassy knoll (a gopher hill, actually) while a plane commandeered by residents of Lloydminster crashes into the new stadium.
  8. Careful- "rampant" means "fully erect".
  9. Come, come. It should be "First Nations Jack Jacobs"
  10. I say start Denmark, Smith and Dressler. That ought to send a message to Jones.
  11. Willy to the Argos for Coombs would make sense for all concerned as Coombs is underutilized anyways. We might have to throw JFG in.
  12. I think the league has it right in the current format. The East vs West rivalry gives the Grey Cup a lot of its colour and history.
  13. From 3Down nation: Terrell Sinkfield is about to sign with the Tiger-Cats.
  14. It sure looks like Richards is not going onto the starting team anytime soon, and JFG is languishing, so perhaps a trade for Demski is not out of the question. There were those who said that the signing of Andrew Harris was no big deal, but he has been nothing short of great so far this season.
  15. My memory is so good that I can remember stuff that didn't even happen.
  16. How can you be sure of what you have forgotten?
  17. Let them slug it out via PM's on an honour system and the loser has to bail until training camp next year. That, or axes in a trench.
  18. It was a trial separation that went on for awhile.
  19. Well, that's enuff for a hangin' right there.
  20. You're not old until you are afraid to buy green bananas and only buy underwear one at a time because one might be enough.
  21. But the week after?
  22. It is going to take a win against Calgary and/or the Beastly Lions to convince doubters. A hard-fought, close loss will suffice as well, but that is what it will take.
  23. Nope. I am with you on that one, but it could be O'Shea's mandatory loyalty thing kicking in again.
  24. IIRC, Brockballs around in th made it clear that he was NFL-bound as soon as possible, so they got what they could for him. He built up his arms by tossing shot-put balls in the off-season, but he was not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He was one of the highest-rated NFL QBs before he got hurt- his back I think, and was never the same afterwards.
  25. Well, they elected Brian "the best to all the infidels" Pallister as their leader, didn't they?
