  1. Thanks for the link, but I've watched more than enough Glendale council meetings to last me this lifetime...
  2. Hey, that game against the Argos was the last Bomber road game I attended and will always have a special place in my heart. Yes it was a terrible football game, but if you recall it was far better than the sad state of affairs the week before between the teams at Canad Inns. Great stuff.
  3. You figure he's coming from Calgary for the game?
  4. A lot of people would be out a lot of money on Undertaker-Lesnar.
  5. I vaguely remember hearing that Sherman was playing some safety, at least for a little bit.
  6. Have seen these and absolutely despise every one of them. I'm sure the XFL would be all over them if it were still around though.
  7. Good for him. I always love seeing Bombers and CFLers in general go down south and succeed. Having guys like Matthews and Muamba would be huge for the Blue roster, but they've managed to stick down there and are making big bucks now. Not all are able to crack NFL rosters so it's nice to see our boys get their break. Wasn't sure if Matthews would do it. I, like everyone, figured he was as good as gone in his rookie season but as time passed I felt more and more that he was far from a sure thing. Glad to see him get the opportunity. Would suck to lose him, but I hope the same for Ian Wild. Hell of a football player.
  8. Practically never listen to the radio, but I do have a little shower radio I'll listen to in there. I assume whatever the changes are the main formula of playing the occasional song in between the commercials will remain the same.
  9. Many fond memories of his message board shenanigans over the years. Great fan of the Lions, the CFL and Andre Proulx. RIP.
  10. Wasn't it also Lawless that made the brilliant suggestion that we trade imports for high end Canadians? You know what I think? Acquiring Sidney Crosby would dramatically improve the Jets. How has Cheveldayoff not realized this???
  11. As far as recent years go, Andy Samberg and Bill Hader were amazing. I liked the sketches with Kenan Thompson as the convict scaring teens straight with stories that end up being movie plots. A few individual sketches I liked were one with Bill Hader as a gruff military vet making puppets,.Zach Galifianakis being very particular about the bidet in his hotel room and Harry Potter (the actor, not the character) being in a game of spin the bottle that saw random homeless people spontaneously join the game. Also, like several others, couldn't stand Kristin Wiig on SNL. Instant fast forward right there.
  12. Oh man, did you hear the crying Rider fans did about how sooo biased Walby was back when he was announcing games on CBC? Strangely enough, not a peep about the yearly Rider lovefest, I mean Labour Day/Banjo Bowl games featuring Glen "GO RIDERS!" Suitor... Rider fans overall aren't bad at all though. True, their bandwagoners are brutal, but what team's aren't? The fact that a bunch of rubes with the ability to post every thought that pops into their pea brains doesn't change the fact that there are tons of Rider fans on forums like these that know that prior to 2007 it was tough sledding. Back in the 90's you couldn't give away Rider tickets and their fans from back then and beyond will be the first to tell you that. And to the point of it not being limited to Rider fans, I've been on Jets boards and it's embarrassing... But being a part of online forums for many, many years you have to realize that just because one goof posts 900 times a day, they do not represent the entire fanbase. I ASSURE YOU, JETS MESSAGE BOARDS DO NOT REPRESENT ALL JETS FANS. YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME!!!
  13. I'm on pins and needles waiting for the "Green Is The New Green" retort.
  14. Was nice to see Suber get a pick. Still a big fan of the guy.
  15. Got to love the leadership, getting on a rookie receiver over the pass he under threw. The kid should have KNOWN the pass was going to be short and adjusted accordingly. That was all on Macdonell.
  16. Not sure what he was upset about but TSN showed O'Shea blowing a gasket at least once yesterday. Yeah, but there were suggestions going into the season that O'Shea would blow up at a moment's notice and it is far from common. Kent Austin would make headlines if he goes one game without throwing a fit and/or tearing into his quarterbacks.
  17. Sure wish we had the calm and collected Austin instead of a hot head ready to fly off the handle over nothing like O'Shea.
  18. The two teams fought hard, but in the end Toronto managed to escape with the loss.
