  1. Absolutely. Sure the players are better, they get paid 5x more (or higher). But how can anyone honestly say the NFL game itself is "better? As stated, in the NFL dull stretches are plentiful to say the least but it's never more evident than after a touchdown. Ever since they moved up the kickoffs, get hyped because the next 8 minutes without fail include commercials, the ball being kicked through the back of the endzone, more commercials. FOOTBALL!!!!!!! Even the players skill difference is overrated by NFL fanboys. Sure they're head and shoulders better when all they watch are the marquee games. Watch a Jags-Browns game and tell me about the majestic display of football ability you can only get from the National Football League!
  2. Let's put the shoe on the other foot for a moment. Every time they showed a replay from the Bomber offense's perspective the Cats had amazing coverage on everyone. If Willy had been going downfield tonight just for the sake of it he'd have in all likelihood been picked at some point and dramatically turned the game. Hamilton's secondary was on their A game tonight and are still going to bed as losers. Nice to be on the other side of that for a change...
  3. Good stuff! Keep supporting the team even when it isn't "cool" to do so. The people that become life long diehards when the team's doing well and are gone when there's any adversity are the worst.
  4. Yeah, I called and my buddy called a couple times and got nothing. Luckily I managed to get through on the morning of. I get that if there was going to be a time they'd be difficult to be get ahold of, this was it. What a gong show this whole process has been...
  5. Oh, for sure I understand that. It's just that my buddy and my season tickets (side-by-side but separate accounts) got emails indicating 1 ticket available to purchase. Now does that just mean we get the one ticket per season seat? We have always understood that would be the case, that's not the problem. Our concern is that we'll only be able to purchase a lone seat on each account rather than side-by-side using one of them. Thanks for any help guys. Honestly True North is typically great on an overall level, but this whole process has been a nightmare. Just from hearing the issues of people that have already gone through the ticket buying experience to fruitlessly trying and trying to get through to ticket reps for days just to get any sort of clarification on things. Apparently they don't work weekends... Even if it happens to be the company's busiest time of the year by far. Hey, can I get that deal too?! No? Aw shucks.
  6. In the e-mail sent to you by the Jets did it say you had "1" ticket available to purchase? If you had linked accounts buying seats did it state 2, 3, 4 whatever the case may have been?
  7. Read a bit of the thread and wow, just... wow. Geeze Mike, when will you ever get it through your skull that upper body strength is slightly important when it comes to playing tackle effectively?!
  8. Gotta love Muamba being vilified for not just accepting the comparative peanuts he'd be making in the CFL vs. the NFL. Oh, and this idea of players having to be fiercely loyal to these businesses and play for a discount "for the good of the team"! Laughable. Milt Stegall, who has been praised for "bleeding blue & gold" in this thread, was prepared to hold out if the Bombers didn't pay him top dollar. And he was damn well right to do it because he was the best receiver in the league. The flip side is that the football clubs see a guy show signs of slowing down? Not being as productive as he'd previously been? See ya later. Checks won't be coming in anymore. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out... This is the CFL, not some league with mega salaries your average person could live off one year's worth. Unless you're a top teir quarterback, you're at best making a very good wage by Joe Blow standards. And you won't be playing football well into your 50's and beyond like your standard 6 figures a year job.. Hell after 30 you're on borrowed time in football. I for one hope it works out for Henoc. Make as much as you can, bud. Because you can bleed such and such colours as much as you want, but as soon as you make one bad play they'll be dumping manure on your front lawn. Okay, that'll only happen if he signs with the Riders, but you get the idea.
  9. Okay, easy, easy.. Like most in the sense that I'm in the "like, don't love" camp on the road jersey. If you're super gung-ho about the blue shoulders, and I guess many are, then right on.

"Over big time" is being very generous. He wasn't coming out to crickets or anything but I feel a lot of his heat was "stop shoving him down our throats" heat. I hate to keep on it, because I like the guy in a lot of ways, but that's how it came across to me. Though I must brought up the ire drawn from WWE fans for the Del Rio-Sheamus feud no one asked for that went on and on and on and on and on and.....
  11. Like most, not a fan on the blue shoulders on the road, but I don't have a huge problem with it or anything. I did think it looked a lot worse initially when all you could see was the upper body and a bit of the gold pants so the shoulders seemed out of place, but then after seeing the head to toe shot the blue socks actually tie it all together decently so it's a bit more acceptable.

Nah, he had the proverbial rocket strapped to his ass and had good stuff to work with with the fancy cars, multiple title reigns and all that and the fans completely rejected it. Obviously I agree with you the stuff since he returned with Colter, the League of Jobbers and before that the nonsensical "I luv Murica now!" face turn were just flat out god awful booking.

Y'all are joking right? They did push him. Hard. And when it failed in a big way they kept at it for another year or two... Still didn't take. This isn't me trashing the guy because I don't like him in the way hipster smarks won't either. In fact I'd say he's, no exaggeration, the best pure in ring guy in the company today. Back then he pulled off the classic "rich guy that thinks he's better than everyone" heel role extremely well. Good talker, has "Da Look" and for good measure seems like a really good dude outside the ring. He's the total package really, and yet when he's on TV the audience, myself included, has zero F's to give. He's the antithesis of the "It" factor...

    I totally remember that show.
  15. You mean our savior that had us in the running for dead last? Yeah, Him and Jacob "Dumpster Fire" Trouba are surely leading us to a Cup dynasty! Full disclosure, I understand that Helle and Trouba are young and need to be given leeway, but holy hell the draft picks are beyond criticism and guys like Stuart and Pavelec get blamed everything. Stuart for the 857 god awful plays Trouba has made this season and I'm pretty sure it's legally forbidden to mention that Pavelec had 3 back-to-back-to-back shutouts on a killer road trip at the end of last season to get Winnipeg its only playoff berth since the '96 season.
  16. No one can say for sure if the general public wants the royal jerseys or if they have for years and years for that matter. I'm not one to flaunt my status, but I know several Bomber executives and and have actually obtained a sneak peak at the new Adidas Bomber unis and will let you guys in on the top secret design! Marketing suspects it will me a massive hit. But maybe even moreso will be the road jerseys which will be gold with gold numbers and gold pants.
  17. Neil McKinley made one bad play that resulted in a long touchdown run and was declared the worst professional athlete of all time. How dare you undermine the social media age's sports fan's right, nay duty, to wildly overreact to literally everything.
  18. It's so simple. We get an Air Bud/MVP (Most Valuable Primate) situation on the roster. A lovable member of the animal kingdom that in spite of conventional logic excels at pro athletics to the point of single-handedly winning their team games! This can also be achieved through a young child, anywhere from 10-14, being thrust into a player/coach/ownership role with the team. Don't be deterred early, the team will be laughably bad to start. Snooty old blowhards will undoubtedly scoff and write the team off from day one. Rest assured, the locker room will rally around this unlikely hero with a never-say-die spirit resulting in a cinderella playoff berth. By the championship game, even the most crotchety of naysayers will be fully on board after witnessing the undeniable results! Boom, next November we're watching blue & gold confetti rain down as I, the mastermind, make out with my dream girl and as a result of our Cup win our youth center on the brink of foreclosure or something has the funds to continue on! You're welcome.
