Always liked Cam on and off the field. Kudos to them.

I still think they pick Shologon if Neufeld was also available.

robynjt reacted to 17to85 in Telling Bryant Turner comment ...
It was a 2nd round draft pick, and given where the Bombers finished the season it was an early 2nd rounder...
Here's the problem I still have with the trade: Walters had all the leverage in that trade. Riders wanted Hall, one of if not the best DE in the league for their playoff push, they were likely to lose Neufeld at least to the expansion draft anyway. Walters jumped the gun and paid too much. Hall and an actual late pick would have been one thing, but Hall and a high 2nd? That's an overpayment for a player the Riders were just trying to get some return on.

You don't think a head coach who throws his players under the bus at every turn, who basically said that the talent level on the team isn't good enough to win, isn't a cancer in the room? You don't think that stuff doesn't bring the team down.
Have you ever had a boss that everyone hated that when he walked into the room everyone shut up and was immediately on edge? I was never in the locker room, so I can't say this is how it was, but based on what I saw of his interviews, how he composed himself, how he spoke, and what he said, I would have a very hard time respecting what he did and said as a player.
And that is the worst kind of cancer to bring to any team, because it permeates from the top down.

Seriously? The NFL is all bent out of shape about a couple of dope smokers while it's coddling the likes of ******* Ray Rice?
Unbelievable.

@Goalie, @Rich, @gbill2004 ... i'm not suggesting the Bombers will gonna sign him.
Obivously, I know he's going to Winnipeg to teach kids. I'm the one who posted the tweet... duh.

Beck is anything but a young mobile QB. He's 32 years old and runs like he's wearing snowshoes.

I don't know why the o-line is scrutinized... aside from Knapp being owned a few times Willy had PLENTY of time to throw. Grigsby had holes... he just didn't hit them well.

Who says he is getting $5 million. Who says he even wins. You just pulled that number out of thin air. I say he gets $5k. Now it doesn't look so bad.
You get million dollar verdicts with punitive damages, and punitive damages are very difficult to prove and receive in Canada.
And who is laughing? Why is it whenever someone disagrees with you, you take it so personally? No one has said that this is a joke, it is just not the slam dunk you think it is. Canada is not the litigious society that the States are.

This is very abnormal behavior. That representative was terrible at his job.
And yes, very painful. I have to wonder if that guy was being live monitored and someone was egging him on to pry at that customer. Really painful and desperate.

I liked how Bryant Turner just pushed Troy Smith down last night with one hand. That was funny. And about the only legal way to do it these days.

I gave True Detective a try via Shaws VOD and it was a bit slow getting into but damned if there didn't come a point were my entire afternoon didn't disappear because I had to finish watching the entire series right there.

I wasnt sure about The Leftovers after Episode 1. I just watched Episode 2 and while I am still not sure, I do feel suitably intrigued enough to keep watching. For people that love mystery, its good. its well made, well acted, interesting characters. But Im a spoiler junky so its painful to wait for mysteries to reveal themselves. if it was Network TV, Id likely not continue, but as a 10 episode HBO series? Ill trust them. I just hope Damon Lindelof doesnt ruin it like he ruined Lost and Star Trek.
True Detective was AMAZING. I probably would have given up if my girlfriend didnt love it and Im glad I stuck with it. It really became something special. its all by itself as a truly unique and incredible show. The show that made me a ful on TD believer was the Mogadishu episode. Wow. Incredible.

3rd in punt returns among regulars, 4th in kickoff return average among regulars.
I'm not a fan of removing Woods. Cotton did not catch a punt in pre-season, let them all hit the turf, had one nice return off one he let bounce and roll. Washington is either going to make a big play for the Bombers or one for their opponent when he's returning. Risky move IMO when we have a guy who is not only safe but a consistent threat. I could see Denmark or Feoli-Gudino end up returning punts after a few hit the turf.

That is really great that the games are being posted.
I'm currently living in Europe, and with TSN's game on demand fiasco this season, I have been looking for another option other than watching the games at 3 am.
I really hope this can continue throughout the season.
Go Blue.

The top two running backs at this point are imports who had zero CFL experience coming into the year - Why would anyone trade for a running back? It's way too easy to find a back. Giving up an asset, any asset for Will Ford or any back on our roster for that matter will not happen.

robynjt reacted to USABomberfan in Leos at Als / Tabbies at Eskies / Riders at Argos
Simply put, very hard to tell who's going where just yet in this league.
I will say, it does look like BC may actually be the worst team in the league (without Lulay and Arceneaux) more so than Montreal. Course I know they've had a history recently of being very bad on the road especially in the eastern time zone, but I think they really are in trouble this year.
2011 was different, they did start 1-6 before going on their run, but most of those games they lost to start that year with were very close competitive games that just caught them unlucky breaks before they came into their own. This year, they are really playing like a team in trouble.
I figured the Argos would bounce back after last week's loss, and so they did. I think Ottawa will be making a rumble felt in the East as well.
Saskatchewan had to come back to reality today, no rain to help them out and a pissed off Ricky Ray and Toronto were gonna cause problems. I wouldn't put much stock into today's game for them though, they'll likely bounce back again next week.
It'll probably be a few weeks before things get better for Hamilton, but they got the personnel and coaching that once they start getting guys healthy they could make a run later on here.
Edmonton is the biggest question mark I think. Sure they're better than the 4-14 team they were last year, but I don't know, that team caught some lucky breaks last night, and if Collaros didn't go down, they might have lost, and still is crazy they almost did even with old noodle arm Lefevour in there. I think they'll beat some good teams here, defense is good and they'll make a few surprises, but as happens with all teams in this league, luck doesn't carry a team to a Grey Cup.

If you want to start an argument, answer the question. Point is you can't tell much from preseason. Period.
