He hasn't shown any interest in the CFL because he is still playing in the NFL.  If he gets cut and can't catch on anywhere, I'm sure he will consider the CFL.  His agent is Darren Gill, who represents many CFL players, so you can be sure he is aware that the option to join the Bombers is out there.

Disagree with this. Maybe it was only one practice but this guy has all the tools. I'm in love.

Brohm was easily the weakest of the QBs and while I like what Hall brings to the table, he is what he is. Marve has zip on his throws and one particular example I have is on one play, he showed great mobility on a roll out to his right while being chased by a lineman and while on the run fired a bullet to Donovan Kemp. Perfect throw and a good example of what he can do. It's early, but I think he easily gets the project 3rd QB job on this squad.

Yantz surprised me as well. He has a much better arm than I expected. I liked Willy as well. Good arm and he looked like a leader out there. The talent at QB in camp this year is light years ahead of last year. I finally see what other team's fans see when they have a young QB who comes in and really impresses. I know it's early and I can't get too excited but damn. I'm impressed. Nothing like Clement from last year or other first year camp QBs that we've had in the past.

It's really tough to gauge anything other than QBs, DBs and receivers so I'll just go over the DBs and receivers now.

The pick 6 was Matt Pierce from Hall, not Unamba from Willy but afterwards Unamba chest bumped with Pierce and I really liked that show of camaraderie. Unamba and Pierce are two of the less heralded DB prospects but from a straight up coverage standpoint, they both stood out the most. Still, the receivers on the whole were making the DBs look bad. It's nice to see since that's how 1-on-1's should be but with so much space. It feels like in years past poor QB play and other factors made the O look bad even in practice. Today wasn't like that at all and I'm glad. Hogan also showed decent coverage skills and no one looked flat out bad. Other than one nuts move from Donovan Kemp on a DB that I don't remember.

No receiver stood out all that much to me. Kemp made some nice moves and really nice grabs and showed very good speed but also had a bad drop late in the session. Urrutia and Bell are HUGE. Bell is skinnier in the mold of a Doug Pierce and wasn't all that noticeable but you can tell that Urrutia and Brohm have chemistry from their college days. Urrutia probably had the best hands of the session. Tarver is tiny. It looked like none of his equipment fit him but he looked to have great speed and good hands. I think his age will make him in tough to land a spot on the team and these smaller guys rarely get a shot in the offense but it was a good first day from him. Taylor Renaud also caught a few deep balls in good coverage. I don't have high hopes for him but it was nice to see him play well. Barnes made some very nice catches and also had some drops.

#45, who I believe is the FB from the Rifles is absolutely massive. In blocking drills with Buck he was knocking Buck off balance every time. He has hands of stone but I wouldn't mind having this guy blocking for me if I were a RB.

It looked like Garvin was missing from the session this evening and there was another player who was not in uniform just hanging on to a ball. If anyone knows who this was, I would appreciate the info.

Also ran into Gary Etcheverry in the parking lot and he smiled at me. This turned my impression of him around immediately. He will be the greatest coordinator this team has ever seen.

Overall, I like the talent crop this year. Didn't watch a ton of the D-line but even with limited reps Kenny Tate looks like an absolute beast. Makes me salivate at the thought of him starting for this team.

Wouldn't be much of a practice.  They'd have no equipment, they'd have to head to Canadian Tire to buy a ball.

I think it is great that they bring him in.  It is win / win even if he never will get drafted.

You never have a shortage of QB arms at TC.  Having him throw some passes during TC relieves the stress on the arms of the other QBs.

And for Yantz, he gets the experience of a pro camp.

In just a few weeks, it will be the one year anniversary of the launch of MorningBigBlue.com. It's hard to believe that a site we scrambled to piece together in time for the 2013 training camp has evolved into what we see today in less than a full calendar year. Quickly, I just wanted to give a thanks to all of our members for your contributions and for how easy you make it on the staff here. What we envisioned for this site would not have been possible without everyone pitching in to do their part, so thank you very much on behalf of all of our administrators and moderators.

With our one year anniversary just around the corner, the staff has been working and will continue to work to provide everybody with an improved experience at MBB.com as we move into the 2014 season and beyond. The first thing we'd like to announce is that we have added Jpan85 to the moderation team. Joey put in a ton of work last year to help us run contests and he will continue that in a more "official" role this year. In case you don't know, Joey will also be raising the 13th man flag at the 2014 home opener which is an awesome (and well-deserved) honor. Maybe if we're lucky, we can print up a MBB shirt and get ourselves some free advertising.

Without going into too many more details, the efforts of everybody here have put us in a position to really improve the quality of what we can offer our members this year. To give you guys a preview, we'll see the return of a handful of the contests we ran last year as well as the introduction of a new weekly contest (one I'm personally excited to run) open to all forum members. Not only that, but we are proud to say that we will be able to offer prizes to all of our contest winners this year. Full details will be released on those contests plus much more on the official one year anniversary.

As always, if anybody has any suggestions or recommendations, feel free to share them with us. We're always looking for feedback on how we can improve the site, whether it be with contest ideas, ways to generate better content for you, forum add-ons you'd like to see, whatever.

Thanks again on behalf of all of us.
    - The MorningBigBlue.com Team.

But at the same time, it's better than when no one was coming out at all.  In fact, I think most people have been overwhelmingly supportive of him.  Yeah there's more than a few bad eggs, but I think the good outweighs the bad.  Maybe I'm just optimistic?

I see that trading up for Walter's pick is being "questioned" so I have to ask…if that's the guy they wanted, isn't that worth the value of two questionable picks later on, especially in a thinner draft year?
I also wonder that the Bombers sometimes get chastised for not making any moves and then, when they do…..

Oh, I see absolutely nothing wrong with the trade.  Especially with all the picks they had in the third, and in a thin draft year as you said.  Seems like a great move to me...

Actually it sounds like the writer of that story implied it, Sam didnt say anything close to it.  And let's be really clear - his coming out had a lot more risk than reward for him.  And as you can see by some of the reaction, the NFL has a long way to go to get to the point that a players orientation has no bearing on his acceptance in a locker room.  A lot of players will hide behind religion (like the Duck Dynasty idiot) and those Benham guys.
