When in Cologne they mocked the folks in Munich for drinking beig steins off beer, it gets warm and flat before you finish etc etc. They then went on to extol the virtues or drinking from a 20 cL glass. They keep bringing them until you put your coaster on top and it's always fresh and cold.
I don't know what my point is other than I like beer and there's no wrong way to drink it.
No argument here!
Those Cologne folks are on to something. I visited the Kolsch brewery there years ago and had a similar experience. Something about stone-cellar cooled casks of beer served in those skinny little glasses that tastes extra good.

I bought two cases instead of the usual one, just to be sure

So someone can play all year and get injured in the division finals, and NOT get their name on the cup? That seems insane.
Imagine Dinwiddie wins in 07 and Kevin Glenn doesn't get his name on the cup. That does seem insane

Lucky got paid for his potential and tbh he never lived up to it. He had his moments in BC but he wasn't blowing the roof off like they had hoped for, just a bit too streaky and on occasion invisible. In a role like the one Grant has with us now, at a good price, any team would benefit
Just now, WinnipegGordo said:That makes sense. No doubt Lucky is very popular.
Such a likeable dude, he'll be a fan favorite everywhere he goes

Didn't he have a pretty blatant roughing the passer call?
He did and if it cost us it would have been terrible but it didn't really cost us anything in the end. The vindictive side of me sees it as a delayed response to the Adams helmet swing. Revenge is a dish best served cold... and in a playoff game with little time on the clock!

It's silly that BC themselves mislabeled the Bobby Bourne trophy as "most outstanding player as voted by the fans" when it's actually a fan vote for "most popular player", Bighill has won this trophy as well
Not hard to believe he's so popular. He was getting love from WPG fans coming in and out of the visitors gate during warmups. He's just a likeable guy.

#44 dressing for bighill has me very worried. I don't even want him listed as starter. He should be ST and that's it.
We didn't see him make much of an impact filling in for Biggie. At least he didn't stand out in any bad ways. It's our Dline that is going to take over this game I think; Gauthier or whoever else fills in for Biggie just needs to stick to their assignment and the rest will take care of itself

Didn't even have to scroll to find these vids guys. You aren't even looking.
https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/alouettes-are-the-underdog-blue-bombers-seek-a-dynasty~2806595
This piece from TSN talks about the Bombers appearing in 4 consecutive Grey Cups and having the chance to be the first team to win 3 in 4 seasons since the Esks in the 70s-80s
This piece opens with how nobody is shocked or surprised to see the Bombers back in the GC
Collaros hadn't even left the field before TSN was bringing up Collaros being the first QB to start 4 consecutive GCs
This clip praises the physicality and consistency of the Bombers, praises the coach, mentions the 4 appearances and chance to do what hasn't been done in 40+ years

The Als should be worried about our D!
I wonder what the team record for sacks in the Grey Cup currently stands at. I know the individual record is 5.

I'm sure you guys have noticed, but I haven' seen an comments about the limited role Jake Thomas had yesterday. I'm wondering if this is the end of his career
I wasn't counting snaps or anything but ya he was only in for a handful. Saw lots more of Lawson, and he looks plenty effective

Eli wasn’t on the team last year right? A few guys have left and come back but ya big group for all 4
That's right, I forgot he sat out the 2022 season after being suspended over vaccination status and forced to watch the 2021 Grey Cup. That's when Kola entered the picture, taking over as Couture's backup and eventual replacement

Collaros, Bighill, Jefferson, Jeffcoat, Thomas, Gauthier, Demski, Bailey, Bryant, Hardrick, Neufeld, Gray, Brady have all been here for 4 years, I think.
Also Tui Eli

Would this be the biggest choke job in the play offs in the last ten years or so?
I'd say yes, supplanting the first place 2019 Riders losing to the 3rd place Bombers infront of their own fans. Doink goes the crossbar
