I never said that Kelce belted Reid.

I also said Kelce didnt belt Reid so I guess we agree!

Leaders lead. They don't act like enraged pricks when things don't go their way.

He led the team with 9 catches and almost 100 yards. Leaders lead? He was literally the leader and players do their talking on the field.

But you're right, who cares what I think... what any of us think. KC loves it, Mahomes loves it, Reid loves it... bet TSwift loves it too.

  2. Belted? Not really. I get jostled harder than that in the Costco checkout line at Christmas.

It would for sure look a lot worse if they had lost. Instead Kelce lead his team with 9 catches and 90 something yards. His catch and run on the tying drive was clutch.

Kelce was mic'd up, I suspect we get to hear what he said soon enough. Doesnt sound like anyone in KC is upset. Mahomes even pointed to that moment as representative of the team's drive and desire to win, and said "everyone loves it"

  3. I firmly believe (but can't possibly know for sure) that if we started a guy like BOLO or Ambles over an injured Schoen and still lost, many here would be saying we should have played Schoen as he is better at 70% than those guys at 100%... and imo that's probably even accurate. Many here, myself included, were lead to believe that Schoen was only nicked and could have played through it if he needed to. Imagine the outcry if Osh benched a "nicked up and ready to play if he needed to" Schoen and then we still lost... the horror

Fwiw, I do remember Schoen saying that he was surprised he got the go-ahead to play, and to me that says a lot. The staff, all of them not just Osh, had immense faith in him when it seems they should have known better. Mistakes were made on and off the field.

Yeah, the comedy festival should be a good time. I might just go to Sat and Sun as I've seen Segura before.

I'm interested to hear what the Block party line-up is go to be though. They have changed it up this year and its just one weekend (Thurs Aug 22 - Sun Aug 25).

Hopefully Friday's acts arent ones Id want to see as there is a Bomber game that night.

Yes I'm eager to hear the lineup this year, but honestly just give me practically any three Canadian 90s rock bands and I'm almost guaranteed to go. Bif Naked, I Mother Earth (one of my all time faves) and The Watchmen has been my favorite lineup so far, that night set a pretty high bar.

I remember people saying they were happy to have won right after 2019 - and they didn’t really care if we won the year after.

Now they’re upset we have gone every year since and have only won once.

True story. It's rare that any team in any sport becomes a perennial contender like we have. I've said it before: these are the good times! How will people cope when we eventually and inevitably come back down to Earth and are once again scrapping for that last playoff spot where anything can happen if we just believe?!?

  6. I'm something of a bright-sider myself.

Getting to 4 Grey Cups is an accomplishment in itself. Winning 2 out of 4 ain't bad either. But winning sure does feel better than losing...

When people get critical of the Blue it helps to remember they likely suffered through the drought same as the rest of us, and they simply want what is best for the team, the best for winning football games. I'm sure some guys especially fear regression because they don't have another 30 years on this Earth to wait for another championship.

Expecting an all-star at every position is silly, but wanting/wishing for upgrades, especially from some of our older and less dominant pieces (Kola, Jake) isn't. I get the disappointment.

We all remember what it's like to be a bottom feeder, none of us want to experience anything close to that again any time soon... hence the creeping concern...

Thank goodness we have the staff we do... they led us out of the wastes to the promised land, now we are navigating being victims of our own success, but if anyone can do it in today's CFL it's KW and co.

    TL:DR: Koombaya, praise the trinity

If there was a Canadian available who did it I’m sure they’d make a switch.

Konner Burtenshaw, a Canadian FB was kicking around on the practice roster all season til the extended PR window closed and he was released along with Agudosi and others. No idea if he could play but he was available.

We were still able to play an American FB and be one of the top 2 teams for Canadian snaps

You know, all those FB snaps

  8. My cannot miss event of the summer #3 (alongside Burt BlocK Party and Banjo Bowl)

    https://greatoutdoorscomedyfestival.com/gocf-winnipeg-manitoba/

3 night event this July... Tom Segura, Bill Burr, Nate Bargatze headlining... Bobby Lee, Gerry Dee, Jessica Kirson supporting...

Outside on the Lyric lawn at Ass Park... on sale now...

If I only go VIP for on one night I'm thinking VIP Friday, general admission Saturday... as much as I love Ol' Billy Redface I'm an even bigger Tommy Bunz fan and I'm exactly immature enough to be entertained by Bobby Lee.

ZC has taken a beating the last yr and for a good part of 2022....from being unscathed basically all his other time here...who was center when all that started?....a lot of issues from an O-line start from inside out, but may appear others are losing in their assignments....some here know what I talking about, and what is the common denominator in the poundings....

Another common denominator is Brady taking over at running back for AH33. Harris was the ultimate checkdown and was used that way very frequently.

Missed it and can't find where the link is. What is the $ amount.

Not sure we've actually linked anything yet, here you go:

    https://3downnation.com/2024/01/29/winnipeg-blue-bombers-sign-centre-chris-kolankowski-to-two-year-extension/

Per sources, Kolankowski will earn close to $140,000 in 2024 and around $150,000 in 2025 as part of his new deal. This is a significant raise over what he made in 2023, which came in just shy of $90,000.
