“Just like last season, the Toronto Argonauts and visiting Montreal Alouettes will meet at BMO Field with a trip to the Grey Cup on the line in Saturday’s East Division final. This will be the third year in a row that the road to the championship game will go through Toronto.

For the Argonauts, their focus is on getting back to the big game. The Alouettes are looking to break a 13-year drought since their last Grey Cup appearance back in 2010, which was also when they won their last championship.

The Argonauts are back in the playoffs for a third-straight season with head coach Ryan Dinwiddie. Toronto is also hosting its third-straight East final and is looking to reach the Grey Cup for the third time in six seasons (the 2020 season was cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic).

The Alouettes, are making their third-straight appearance in the playoffs and first under new head coach Jason Maas. Montreal hasn’t won a divisional final since 2010, going 0-3 in that span — including two losses to the Argonauts.”

With the Bombers being 31-3 in their last 34 games at IG Field, O’Shea believes his players can use playing at home to their benefit throughout the game.

“I think the fans will be a part of it,” O’Shea told BlueBombers.com.

“You work this hard to get home field advantage to allow your fan base, especially our fan base, to be a part of this game. And they will be. It will be exciting, and the players will really appreciate it. It will be fun to watch.”

If Winnipeg can pull out a win, they’ll head to their fourth straight Grey Cup, while it would be BC’s first berth since they defeated the Blue Bombers in 2011.

  3. The one thing they got right that others got wrong was giving Nichols the nod and recognizing he doesn't get thrown at enough to collect flashy stats that reel in votes.

Willie getting snubbed is insane, his impact on the game goes way beyond sacks and he was still top 5 there... just nuts.

The Kola nod has got to be a PFF thing as he consistently graded pretty high. All-Stars should stand out in a good way and to my eyes he stood out most when flopping around and making a mess. Not to say he didn't get the job done (ask Brady and Zach), but when I think Bomber Oline I think Neufeld-Bryant-Hardrick, those votes at least make sense to me

Yes, if the so-called last game ever at CanadInns didn't sell out you could have fooled me. Commemorative golden tickets were given out, at least to season ticket holders. Chris Garrett combined for nearly 200 yards and scored a TD on the final play of the game. It would have / should have been the perfect way to close down that stack of rubble. Unforgettable.
