This is really a false debate in that there is no good reason to assume that with an off-season to recover from this season, Willy will not be as good or better than he was at the start of this season. We know what he brings to the table and one game isn't going to change that, but whether the backups are legitimate future starters is still open to debate. Calgary is going to maul anyone behind the Bomber center and Marve is our best hope to salvage a bit of respectability in this last gasp.

Fans don't run the team.  Media doesn't run the team.  The coaches and management run the team.  They're impatient because they will be fired if they don't produce results. 
 
Willy will start and play most if not all of the game baring more injuries.  He'll get beat up again, throw some bad passes, make some bad/slow decisions and hang another loss on his resume.  It's more likely that this game will stunt Willy's growth rather than help it.
 
Playing Marve wouldn't hurt his development.  In fact, it would help his development and allow the coaching staff to see how close he is to being ready to start if needed.  It would also let them know how much the need to bring Brohm back or if they could afford to let another team out bid them in the off season.   If Marve started and failed big time, we could always put Willy in.  No harm in that scenario.

I don't see us having an MOP this year.

Anyone who doesn't think this has been a drastic improvement over last year is kidding themselves, we got a qb, we got a coach, we got a gm, we got scouts, we have 2 assistant GM's, we are no longer the gong show we were last year, in the off-season i suggested that it might take some time to remove that gong show label that we have had for the last several seasons. I was wrong cuz the gong show environment is gone already. 
 
Gotta think Walters is respected around the league, certainly is in terms of his ability to know the CIS.. McManus and Goveia are definitely well respected. Miller is respected. O'shea is respected. Last season? Man we were a joke on and off the field, this year... not really and the games we have lost recently, it's been more so due to our own mistakes than anything, it's not cuz we have given up and lack just the heart and character like last season, this year we fight to the end, honestly, last year if we were down 21-7 at the half, the game was over, done, you could turn it off or leave cuz you knew it was over, this year... down by 21-7 and in the fourth quarter we are right there, a play away from winning. It's definitely night and day. Honestly, i'd say from where we were last season at this point to now, It's been a drastic change. Off field and On Field, not sure how people can forget so quickly what last season was like. Maybe we are like Edmonton from last season, we found our QB and now he needs time to learn, difference between us and the ESKS from last season though is i think we got a good coach here already. Esks had to fire their Ultimate Warrior wannabe coach, do think the ESKS are a tad over rated thought and think next year we will be better than they have been this year. 

They could lose every remaining game and it would still be a huge improvement from last year, I think you are forgetting just how bad they were last year. Out of the game before the first quarter was done more nights than not, at least this time when they're getting beaten it's after a close game. 

If the Bombers are going to continue to tank this season, the Riders being thoroughly embarrassed in every way eases my pain...

I'll chime in here. There was one situation a few years ago in the NFL game. I was watching a Chargers Broncos game in Denver. Rivers had thrown an "interception" . TV replays showed the ball hit the turf. San Diego challenged the play however the replay system wasn't working. As per NFL rules the ref Waited the allotted 2 mins and since the system still wasn't working Denver retained possession of the ball.
Yes it happens in the NFL too. Its annoying but it is part of the game.
I'm pissed that it happened. I'm pissed that the officiating is a joke. But WHY THE HELL CANT OUR OFFENCE SCORE SOME BLOODY TOUCHDOWNS!!!!! that burns my @$$ more than anything. Theses losses would be Wins if we could start putting majors on the board!

Stop posting links to his articles, I'm sorry I even clicked it and read it. Previous article calling the Bomber brass underhanded and shady and now this article calling the team lucky and not good. Just seems like his main goal is to prevent people from buying tickets, and evidently he plans on doing it with as little amount of effort as possible because his articles must not take very much effort finish off.

How embarassing was Glen Suitor when talking about the PI challenge? Man oh man was he ever showing bias there. 

O'Shea explained in the CJOB post-game show that he knew he wouldn't get that call but he wanted to slow down the Als momentum and give his D a breather.

They are playing much more like a team, and not a collection of players.
