Listen.... I was the most vocal poster here for a long time, saying exactly what you're saying. And it's not that I totally disagree now.... But..... Can you not see the line on the graph that is clearly trending down? I thought, for a moment earlier this season, there was a turnaround happening. But now I just don't believe anymore. I'll always default to "none of us are in the room, so we really don't know FOR SURE what's right or what's wrong" but it's clearly a bad trend and has been ongoing for a number of years now. I think it starts with the lack of talent. Whether that means cleaning house in the scouting department, I don't know... But we haven't been recruiting or drafting well for several years now. OC is clearly a problem and has been since Buck left. I don't know what the answer is, but Condell has to be gone after this year. There's a lot of problems... Not just one. But... I also agree with the poster who said "Who is out there that you'd prefer?" because I am genuinely curious who's next in the Up and Comers around the league.

Wilson is perfectly fine. If he played 18 games he’d be looking at about 1200 yards, and 8-9 touchdowns. He’s either a fine two, or a really good third receiver. Like other people said he drops the ball too much to be an alpha, but just because he isn’t one or the 5-10 best receivers in the game doesn’t mean he’s not valuable to us.. the issue is as good as Tim white has been we had the opportunity to get a true alpha in Austin Mack and we went with Tim White instead.. when we needed a guy who can make a big catch in crunch time. The fact they were calling Nield Fantoz during training camp is laughable. He’s had more drops in crunch time than this whole team combined.

Let me try to wrap my mind around this logic.. we won 2 Grey cups with these guys after going what 25 plus years without...we are the strongest team financially in the league by far,yet because we have had a couple of years of so- so results we need to clean house? Is that right? 😵 Clean em all out...man do we have short memories around here.

I'm still good with Wade, Kyle and Mike. I think they should replace the OC as the offense just is not working in his system. The DC is really on the edge, and needs to improve. The STC is good.

define a player's coach tho?..there can be many examples of it but whats your opinion that he is one...not being a knob just curious. The Don..Bouno...even Murpht were also player's coaches who got a lotta love from their teams...but also made the hard assed decisions that had to be, and you earned your roster spot each week...or u were sat...or just out right released A coach considered a players coach who just caters to his vets...favors...rarely disciplines...doesn't call anyone out...Mister Nice guy so to speak can also cause fractures too....which wasnt wildly publicized or let be known here but can assure you there was some dissention in the ranks....it's only natural and to say it didnt exist is foolish An most players generally say they love playing for their coach...That's par for the course... All that being said they have had 3 yrs ...4 counting this yr to turn it around from the last succesful end to season...and it has gotten worst each yr...with this yr likely to be even e steeper dip down, and fact of the matter is pretty much due to most if not all the same issues that have been there the whole time

Is the scouting template for WR this: Is he Canadian? Is he short? Is he slow? Is he unathletic? If yes for at least two, sign them ASAP.

Ugh. Yeah….. I saw this posted and just said, seriously? Why aren’t we bringing in any big imports that can win contested catches? A small, slow, Canadian? A must have apparently. Still trying to force feed a WR unit starting 3 Canucks?

I get it ,maybe MOS has a lot of weaknesses,but really what coach doesn't? He's a players coach and his players love him. Definitely we have lost alot of talent in the last 5 years,players coaches, scouting,why? Because we were the best. I just think we have to give these 3 some time to rebuild again...especially Wade,who totally turned this franchise around.

People also need to remember the pre-ZC era (2014-2019). We were a fairly middling team prior to trading for Zac and getting hot in playoffs - we had finished no better than 3rd in five of the first six seasons with MOS as HC. Even during the GC run, there were issues (ex: The Seal), but they got glossed over because we won. We are doing well financially (right now) but we've had very high attendance with a winning club and a lot of St holders on a 3 year commitment. Will that support continue if the on-field product keeps going down? I don't think we'll ever get to a Calgary/Toronto/Ottawa attendance level but you string a few seasons like this together & it will impact the club's bottom line at some point. Scouting seems to be an issue but we've already turned over everyone except Kyle and Danny Mac - are they the biggest issue there? I really don't have any faith in KW in that department anymore after watching him hype up Daniels on draft day only to find out we got catfished. Still waiting for this badass s**t kicking blocker to show up. I don't think anyone disagrees about the OC problems. Does the CFL have up and comers? Most of the coaches are retreads (Lapo/Condell) or completely unqualified (Hogan)... at least the ones we hire are.

Tyler's former qb coach (Argo) Greg Barton died in Portland in 2017. He had Alzheimer's. My wife, Tyler & I went to see him about 3 months before he passed away. He recognized Tyler but couldn't remember who he was though you could tell he was trying to figure where he had known my son from. We visited with Greg & his wife Heather for a couple of hours. Greg sat on his sofa quietly smiling but not talking. Didn't say a word. When we were leaving & saying our goodbyes we kind of knew the end was coming soon for Greg. As Tyler turned to leave, Greg stopped him & said, "If you need anything. Any help to get a scholarship, please let me know". Tyler had already graduated from SFU two years earlier. Tyler said, "Alright Coach, I will. Thank you". That was the last conversation those two ever had. The Old Coach inside Greg came to life one last time.

Speaking of Condell.....I'd really like to see the stats on the formation where they empty the backfield and put brady as the field side WR. That might be one of the dumbest formations to use throughout a season. I get using it as a one off situation. But Condell seems convinced that the best player on O doesn't need to be close to the ball. He's essentially going 11 Vs 11 without his best player in that formation. GAWD I hate it!!!

Not to mention, Zach loves to hold the ball and try for deep shots, and is not quick mechanically to get the ball out. He really has to put in max effort to get velocity on the ball now, which has greatly hurt his ability to get it away. Mechanically, he's the anti-Danny Mac. But the outcome is almost the same as late-career Mac. Elsbury isn't worse than Kolo, imo, but he might not be better than any other C in the league. Which, going from old Kolo to a young Imp on the interior of the OL, is mind-boggling. You have to work hard to suck at replacing a guy that bad. It falls on basically everyone on O. From the system to OL to QBs to WRs, even Brady has struggled more this year in pass pro than ever before. When you make good players struggle at something they've been great at for a long time, you've really messed up. The sad thing is that doesn't get all the way into how bad our pass pro has been this year. 2.5 sacks per game against us vs. BC, giving up 2 sacks per game; vs. Sask, giving up 1.4 sacks per game. But the pressures and hits are what really separate us from even other basement-dwelling teams. We will almost certainly end up giving up more than 200 hits and hurries this year, and 45-50 sacks on top of that. Maksymic isn't reinventing the wheel over in Edmonton, and he doesn't have some insane talent set on offence. He's giving Cody easy, quick decisions and not letting the D dictate with pressure. He's running a balanced attack really well. If Maksymic had ended up here and TC in Edmonton, we would be in the battle to win the West.

yup takes a man to be a man...good on him And agree his analysis and breaking down of what's going on...almost as it happens is top notch. He knows what he is talking about and can explain it to fans in a way that they can grasp, and isnt dumbed down. Compare him to Suitor and its like a 3rd grader vs a College Grad. And Lapo too is totally finding his groove. Best thing TSN has done is bring these guys into the fore front and it only will help with new fans in my opinion.
