yea i get it tired, brutal part of the schedule but the first period and even the second was probably THE worst I’ve seen this team in its lack of compete. It was not a pretty sight.

I don't even know I'd say Gittens needs abounce back year as much as a change of scenery. The L's just sucked and if he doesn't have Ford cosplaying as a legitimate QB, maybe he cracks 1k yards? He was still their 2nd leading receiver (50 yards behind Julien-Grant with one less game played) so he was performing as well as one could on that team.

All depends on where u may be overpaying...in the cfl...db...lb...de...even rb should never be huge salaries...those are...and should be the easiest to recycle thru and continuously plug in new guys on entry level deals Dl..ol..top flight wr...qb...yessir! Lock in and load the pricey core guys there And u draft smart..with eye on guys with starter potential and not just ST guys...great/potential laden guys can play ST and ease into rotation for starter and legit backup roles...ST only plugs...are just that...and we seen first hand they add zero to the true depth...just cause you have certain amount of guys on roster listed at certain positions doesn't constitute depth... I think we be fine ticket wise if he left for big cash..especially if you sign a marquee guy who gives more value for the money

Not how it works at all. I agree you take Jake's money and reassign it. What you don't do is grossly overpay at any position. We could spend gobs of money on 12 guys and have 40 others on rookie contracts and win exactly zero games. The most successful teams since SMS started have been vigilant about not overpaying. If letting BO go allows us to sign 2 other premium NATs thats just smart GMing

Not a dinosaur at all...just good at math. It's an SMS world and it doesn't matter if the cap goes up. When a player is overpaid significantly it weakens the team.

I don't get the hate for Barker. He knows the CFL inside & out more than anyone on that panel except for LaPo. He's an insider like Barker.
