Was thinking about this earlier and I'm really torn on who I expect more from this year between Ryan Smith and Weston Dressler.

Smith is younger and probably has more room to grow, but Dressler brings that increased professionalism to a group that really needed an injection of it on the offensive side of the ball. I'd love to hear opinions though because I'm fairly torn.

Dressler or Smith?

I'm still trying to deal with the stink that is Riderville on them. It's going to take a really long time for me to accept them as Bombers....

They became Bombers when they signed here to stick it to the Riders. Smith in my opinion is Dressler with 5 less years on the tires.

Right now, they still feel like spies....I keep waiting for them to pull a WWE swerve-job....wait till Labour Day and do something to royally **** us over, pull off their jerseys to reveal Rider green underneath........I dunno. Still doesn't feel right...

But imagine a Clarence Denmark face turn?

Denmark swings around and takes out Durants knees ripping off his rider jersey to reveal the Bomber jersey underneath. Make it happen. 

Smith for me. Younger. Cheaper. On his way up the receiving ladder. I don't think Dressler's looked as good since coming back from the NFL (May have to do with the team around him), but he's still an upgrade over Moore or Denmark.

I'm going with the more experienced older guy...although Ryan is certainly catching up...Tough call...What I'm really glad about is that they both play for us, and I can't wait till we play the green guys.

I think the veteran experience is quite important. Lots of guys with the physical abilities out there, but we saw how much having Milt around impacted the younger receivers coming up

Realistically considering his age Dressler should be replaced with a taller receiver within two years, moving over to the Bombers coaching staff being his most dignified exit.  Barring F.A. Smith should still be playing for the Bombers 4 years from now.

I'm just glad both are here.  We get the best of both worlds.  Experience and physical ability.  The only thing missing from that duo is height.

Where's the "Both, and I'm ecstatic cause it's driving Riderfans crazy" option? 

My question is Dressler or Smith jersey at the LDC this year.

Before we signed Ryan Smith, I said that he was far more valuable to the Bombers than Dressler and everyone told me he was mediocre and unproven. Looks like people are having a change of heart. 

But on the topic, I think having both of them is key. They have chemistry on the field with each other and that will be the biggest thing for them helping each other get open. This will also help them bring other receivers along with the group.

Rumour: This story is made up.

Dressler is more valuable to the team this season b/c of his veteran leadership. Plus he's still a good player. It'll be interesting though to see which one puts up bigger numbers.

he pulls a "foreign object" out of his pants and hits Durant in the achilles with it.

I think you answered your own question. Bang on. He'll bring it, and we will reap it's benefits 

Something hard to measure with statistics in terms of impact impact but most know how bad we need it on this team especially as you noted on the offensive side of ball and I'd add in the dressing room and practices/team functions.

I like Smith, glad he's ours, but hands down Dressler.

 

Definitely Dressler!

The only reason is because it would break Rider fans hearts to see him tear it up and lead the league in receiving while wearing Blue and Gold. 

To me it would be the equivalent had Stegall left us for them.   The sheer heart break would be massive.  

Imagine if Dressler ends up playing 3 - 4 seasons with us and then retires as a Bomber... it would be great!
