@garylawless: Henoc Muamba on way to Hamilton today for a visit with @Ticats supposed to be a visit but can't believe they won't try to get him inked #cfl

@garylawless: Sources around #cfl saying Muamba will visit three teams in next couple of days. Hamilton and Toronto confirmed.

@PentonKirk: Sources say Henoc Muamba visiting Hamilton today, Toronto tomorrow and another team not named #Bombers.

    If Bombers sign him should every other GM be fired?

  • No worries capgeek said that the ticats only have 85 dollars left so they can't sign him!

  • Should you break the bank for one player? It is interesting how Calgary uses the NFL model for their salary structures. Huff believes that certain positions warrant a specific range in pay structure.

This is playing out exactly as I thought. Henoc is very close to his family and I think the opportunity to play in front of his famy is hugely important to him.

I'm still hoping he comes back here but would not be surprised if he decided to play elsewhere.

@garylawless: Expect Muamba to fetch a six-figure signing bonus and a 3-year deal north of 200 k per season #cfl #bn

I just don't know if the payoff is worth the investment. Yes he's good but there are also Americans that are just as good who will play for half the price. We just have to go out and find one. The other $100,000 can be used elsewhere.

As if they need him.  COME WHERE YOU'RE NEEDED!!!

I suspected this would happen

I completely understand where you are coming from (and agree to an extent) but the unfortunate reality, this is going to be the cost of acquiring a ratio breaking Canadian. We are a team that starts a NI at MLB, in that context it makes sense to spend and put the best possible NI in that position.

@CFL_News: .@HenocMuamba just visiting w/ #Ticats today & won't be signing. Just a meet and greet according to @garylawless. #CFL

Sounds like his agent is on damage control. Don't want to make it look like its a done deal.

Come here...we'll pay you more!

Puh-lease.  He goes there, sees the new stadium and feels the love. Is he going anywhere else?  He's serious about Hamilton and this will put it over the top.

In the end, it won't come down to money. I have every belief that Walters will match any offer .. it's going to be about where Henoc feels he has the best opportunity for success personally and professionally.

Well off to Mexico for a week. Putting this behind me.

Yeah right

You can bet Austin will be out there waving a big cheque for Henocs services...They look like Cup contender/winners while we drift in obscurity...I know Muamba loved the Peg and the fans here BUT like most professionals you go where the dough is...I think we are competitive in the likable destination ,so we definitely have to up the ante and make it too expensive for Austin and the cats...This will be a big blow here IF we don't ink him, and just make this league look more lopsided than ever, with all of the talent congregating on one team..Such is the way in professional sports...Guess we'll know shortly how this is all going to go down...Losing Labatte was one thing losing out on Henoc would be another high pic down the drain...Things just keep getting better and better..

Gotta see it from Muamba's standpoint. If the money's the same (Us Matching), then it's a no brainer to sign with the team that's got a real chance of being the GC winner this year. Closer to home too. I was actually thinking Toronto as Greenwood keeps going down to concussions.

If Muamba wants to play in southern ontario then so be it, can't force him to play here. His agent could be playing games, don't think the bombers want to get into bidding war and i'm ok with that

Should help our 2016 draft picks increase in value.  The 6 game injured list can help, but gotta believe a lot of those guys have hefty bonuses paid out before a game is even played, unless they somehow structure contracts differently in Hamilton.

Kind of thought that's where he'd end up. Makes me kind of sick to read that this morning. I think it will make me even sicker to read he finally signs there.

My question is how does Hamilton fit all these playmakers under the cap?

@PentonKirk: #Bombers have put in an offer, but source says it's not the best offer. At least not yet. #CFL

1) location

2) winning org.

3) money

We can only match 1 of those three.

Huge disappointment...but understandable.

If the Bombers miss out on Muamba should Walters be fired?

Well on the bright side, maybe they have to release a good player to make room on the roster for him and we can grab him up.
