Glenn is Rescue City - - that has been his role for a long time

 

I have no reason to expect that to change

 

Last year he was insurance for Buono with all the Lulay uncertainty

 

Previously he was  Calgary's insurance while their young QBs evolved

 

In Hamilton he failed as a number one ... same in Winnipeg

 

He is the QB every one loves to hate ... in spite of some very impressive career QB stats

 

No one thinks he is / will be / has been .... quite good enough ... but he keeps his team respectful and hoping

 

Given Glenn will want starting QB salary numbers so I am going to guess and say no one will sign him until the first major QB injury of the season ... at that point in will walk the salvager and get his pro rata starting QB money

 

He doesn't seem to have enough wear and tear on him to be done

 

I would suggest he might have another year or two in him ... may be he retires in 3 years .... because he will keep hoping to be the Championship MVP but eventually he will accept he is not going to retire after finally winning the GREY CUP

I wonder if Sask's interest in him is any indication of Durant's recovery from last year's injury... or maybe it's just insurance... I don't think one injury suddenly makes Durant "injury prone"....

Durant suffered the same injury that ended the careers of Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana. Others like Jake Delhomme were able to recover, however, despite all the Rider fans thinking it is a slam dunk that he will regain his form, I think the Riders management is not prepared at this point not to have a backup plan.

One injury does not make a person injury prone....but one injury can still derail a career. There are reports that his elbow is still not fully recovered yet and he is only lightly throwing,

So Sask could be a similar situation to BC last year.

In keeping with tradition as a typical schizo Bomber fan, as soon as Glenn signs with the Riders I will switch from "Glenn sucks! Don't sign him!!!!" to "OMG Walters you imbecile!!! Taman out-foxed you again !!! This is why we haven't won a Cup in 24 years!!! ARGHHHHHHH!!!!

I was thinking of sending Taman a nice fruit basket or maybe a Subway gift card as thanks for taking one for the Bombers (and everyone else)

I laughed REALLY hard when I saw that earlier...jeeze...

So Kevin has completed the circuit...ending most likely where he started. I hope he doesn't go out like Joseph. That was not a happy ending for KJ ...KG deserves a better fate. He may have to take over for Durant depending on how DD's arm has rehabilitated. This should be an interesting watch.

I think we owe a vote of gratitude to Brian Brohm for taking us out of the Kevin Glenn sweepstakes, for no matter how you feel about him personally, it would really have sucked to try and get him and lose out to Sask.

Too much drama if we had gotten him…too much drama if we would have lost him…way more fun to watch the Rider fans spin their way into oblivion throughout the season with their brand-spanking new QB.
