I just now realized Fletcher turnstiled Kolo for that strip. Lol

Thats why we never used him as a 6th and defaulted his shittyness at cemter...he is even more useless anywhere else on the line if thats possible...but an unsersized guy..with minimal athleticism and trex length arms..what would one expect in a olineman??.....especially on the edge...

Monday morning announcement: "Zach Collaros extended to 2035".

I'm going to guess they make Zach the OC for next year and keep O'Shea and Younger and the cycle continues for another season.....

I’d bet Kelly has a severely strained or even torn pec tendon from that torque on the strip sack.

I’ve had that done to me and it was my elbow that got messed up.

And then Jamarion Grant gave us the ball back for the win when all he had to do was get that ball back to TO’s offense to basically ice that game.

Even though the season didn’t go as everyone wanted and the game day roster angered many and all wanted the coaches fired and the players were not good enough there’s nothing like a playoff win, maybe just maybe we can eek out a couple more

We could beat Montreal if Willie actually rushes the quarterback and doesn't just take 2 steps and put his arms up.

Our D played great. JY had these guys dialed up.

We were brilliantly coached yesterday. For all the flak our coaches received this year we should give credit where credit is due.

Condell had an excellent gameplan going in. He schemed up plays against Toronto's Match and Cover 0 Mac schemes that both protected Brown and got both White and Wilson in man against LBers. If Brown makes his shots he has 300 yards passing at half time.

JYs defence was great all game.

Players played intense and right to the final whistle and won needing a TD in the last 2 mins.

I said that players win or lose a game and I wont deviate from that. We dont win this game without players making plays. Guys like Kelly and Moxey who were beaten up all year here were excellent yesterday. Nic Demski who we were ready to retire last week is our best receiver.

Just pointing out that anyone suggesting our guys weren't prepared and coached well yesterday dont know **** about the Xs and Os and big shout out to our players for making enough plays and showing enough grit to take advantage of the good schemes they were put in. We left a lot on the table but thats usually the case in the playoffs but bottom line we outcoached and outplayed Toronto yesterday.

Im going to guess we bring all 3 back and add Collaros as Condells assistant for a year first

yeah....They actually had a pretty good scheme to be honest...Cant argue with only giving up 1 td...tho like to see less than 5 field goals....or attention to detail and ability....or lack there of with some the usual suspects was our nemesis...again....clean that up even slightly...with maybe some better player usage and we may pull off the miracle....

Brilliantly...for the most part...still some typical OSH'ness that we escaped but for the most part we actually looked like we did a bit of homework....and yeah guys busted their butts off but there should be no flowers given for that...that should be the norm and when it wasnt slackers should have been benched

Can agree we were prepared ...for once but again 1 game of good coaching stacked up against the norm we have seen shouldnt be lauded either as justification for anything...string 2 more together and then yeah lets talk....With the bolded part... you also kinda backed up what I said before that you constantly refuted...if players are coached up properly, and schemed effectively then you see success, and even top tier guys if put in wrong spot, and not coached and schemed right properly will look like crap (my words) But you then went on to say our coaching was fine...our players and KW just sucked.........Nowyou just said the players should get a shout out for their excellent play...cause they took advantage of the good schemes they were put in.....which leads back to the point you made about players making plays is the route to a win...of course they did as they were in positions to do so...and obviously had great film work and prep to also aid in that...which is orchestrated and led by....Coach's

I said before the game we win if we get adequate/great coaching and it wont be on the players for a loss....and whathappened...as per yhur quotes we got great coaching, and players...many of whom u also crapped all over...made plays and we won...see how that works together

All I'll say is that the egregious errors on the field seemed to me to be execution errors. Nothing to do with coaching... Just heads up asses. Drops, not fighting for the ball, stupid penalties... That's on the players.

Yea..and even that was kept to a minimum mostly. But yeah...the gameplan going in was excellent. This could have been over at half time with better execution.

Using the timeout with TO 3rd and 1 was a fatal error if TO’s coach also didn’t make the fatal error of punting.

Punting at 1:45 with no timeout was also a mistake bailed out by insane ball security by Toronto.

Both of those situations are game over if TO doesn’t botch them as bad or worse.

I agree with this. We should have been up by a lot at half time but stupid execution mistakes leading to turnovers kept it where it was. Whether they were too tight from being playoffs, or just weren't focused for whatever reason... It was on the players to step up and execute.

I can’t believe TO punted on third and not even 1. Play to win the game for godsake

yup...a win in spite of...hopefully we build on the actual good things we did with our schemes and preparedness for nest week and we have a legit shot....only tho if we can nix the boneheaded in game decisions...which are all too common as well and been an issue here not just this season

a team loaded with vets like us....no stage should have been too big to play all tight...thats a poor excuse if anyone tries to use that

We have the ball with 1:45 to go we are down by 5 with the season on the line. Go out and get yourself a first down and keep this drive going. I love him but he coaches way too timid with a variety of things, e.g., time outs, challenge flags, 3rd down conversions etc.

Pretty sure it was Hansen who recovered the fumble.

yup. we regret the error. Nield should wash both Hallet and Hansen's cars.

Until those late game heroics we were on our way to another scoreless 2nd half... Was the gameplan really THAT good or we just remembering a few plays where guys got open and failed to complete passes?

To me what happened yesterday was an ass ugly game where enough guys stepped up and made some plays when it was important.

Worth the rewatch (Film never lies) especially if you watched the game on regular TSN yesterday. Luke Willson breaks whats happening down very well, and the bonus is Bob Irving doing the PxP at the start of the 3rd quarter with Luke doing color commentary. Especially great to see after all the fireworks between Bob and Luke on social media. CFL East Semi-Finals: Watch Along with Luke Willson | Film Never Lies .

I just re-watched and can confirm. Question for the aficionados here - what brainiac on the Toronto sideline thought putting Kolo on the far end of the line was a good idea? What did they think was going to happen? That Kolo would actually block a guy?

My 2 cents it was an ugly win ...a win none the less however.....

But we made so many mistakes...

What 4 procedures and I think 4 different guys took them, Catulo with a missed FG, Shehan with punt out of bounds, Neild with bad drop, Singer with a drop, Brow with at least three bad passes and two were TD's if he was on....the third into double coverage costing us a FG....2ints...what was it 4 turnovers....over 100yards in penalties against....and more...

But Younger appeared to have a great game plan for Kelly and that offence....can he do it again for Alexander.....let's hope so..

1:47:10 is when Mr Bob Irving is being introduced.

Is it a coincidence that every poorly coached team always struggles with those basic levels of execution and discipline?

Situations like that are exactly why all levels of football put such a high value on OCs these days. It's not how they do when things are going right; it is what they have to draw on when everything goes wrong, and the O needs to be resuscitated. We don't have either of those, though.

I remember thinking that the Argos not being able to punch it in from the 3 yard line on that first drive of the second half and settling for 3 pts was going to cost them....and then I remember thinking..."usually it's Winnipeg that has this problem"....lol...
