It would be beyond stupid to trade ZC this year. He has basically stated this is his last year. Guys like Milt stating it just confirms it. It would weaken us at QB, and it would risk our dressing room chemistry. Just a dumb idea by fans who dont understand the over all impact it would have.

Also would make another team stronger... In a 9 team league, why help your enemy?

People suggesting this aren't thinking it through fully. Players both in our dressing room and around the league would view our franchise in a negative light. This is Zac's retirement tour, you dont treat the face of your franchise this entire decade like that. Would be doing him dirty.

Yes but wouldn't it hold true that we would/should be stronger....I'm not of the mind to just dump Zack, although players always say they are always prepared for that inevitability ...Bomber management would have to have a long discussion with Zack and see where his head is at with regard to a trade...Maybe a deal back east ( his stomping grounds) would suit him...In any event he is currently injured so I wouldn't expect there will be any movement regarding his future for quite awhile

The only way I get rid of Zach at this point is if someone was stupid enough to give us an absolute haul for him (highly unlikely) and if it became absolutely crystal clear that Dru is for real (we need more than one game against a really bad defense).

I can't see a reality where all of that is true but you never know.

If we scuffling near end of yr..not in playoff race and have a chance to substantially upgrade our team witj a deal...only a fool wouldn't take that opportunity...thats the brutal reality of sports..

But...if we in thick of it...ZC is healthy and eff3ctive...Brown is ensconced as #2 and is getting reps here and there and keeping sharp...we would be a fool to trade him

It all depends on the trajectory of the season..and if he did land in the Hammer...and BLM is done..or questionable in 2027..maybe ZC decides he has a yr or 2 more in him being close to his wife's home

Tbh, I'd send him wherever the value is. Ham/Ott are likely, but who knows maybe MTL would pay more to block them.

naw, I think we gotta keep that depth at QB. Having two QBs who can win games is a great postion to be in. Don't want to wind up hooped like Hamilton if we have an unfortunate injury.

Super hard to defend what brown did last night. Extremely fast read n release, one of the fastest one step guys you will see, but also he did a great job of putting the ball in places where the D wasn’t even when the pressure came and d was covering the source of pressure well. Also hit incredibly tight windows, and doesn’t miss low/behind or lead guys into hospital territory.

We’ve all known he has tremendous upside, but he also has the ability the manage the game.

Zach-Brown is the best 1-2 qb punch we’ve had in a generation, zach-brown-elgersma is an embarrassment of wealth at qb. Maybe the best since those legendary edmonton days? not nearly as good as those hofers, who knows how good brown n elgersma could be but that’s a long ways off.

Brown and elgersma could be the next version of zach and harris or atleast maas and ray.

Might be a little ahead of yourself here. They could still end up being Pierce/Eliott/brink. Wasn't Elliott going to move mountains

Collaros on the block....lol.....with a coach who keeps less talented guys around ....just because ....We could make a deal that would really benefit the club long term.... but don't hold your breath....We have a strong stable of qb's without Zack BUT unless Osh has sort of enlightenment and is prepared go in another direction....no chance

Time for Walters to summon up his courage and override O'Shea.

I believe I have considered this thoroughly. Collaros has become increasingly brittle and if Wayne Gretzky can be traded, anyone can be. At this point. Brown has shown himself to be better than Collaros already and we have a promising Elgersma and useful Perkins. Why would you have you most expensive played who is no longer the best sit on the bench or, as is most likely with O'Shea, trot him out onto the field knowing that he is not the best chance of winning? We have several substantial holes in our lineup that need filling, and it seems there may be an opportunity to do so. I fully expect that O'Shea will dig his heels in and oppose moving Collaros and continue to start him if at all possiblle,a nd that will probably doom the season.

Lol. Maybe it will play out like it did in Moneyball.

O'Shea "you are killing this team"

Walters "Osh, I can do this all day long"

The floor for TE is extremely high. The combination of arm talent and experience playing the Canadian game is unparalleled in the modern CFL. Brown is a proven commodity.

It would still be a gamble, every one could get hurt. But you have to make calculated gambles in football.

We shouldn't lose anything by waiting till atleast closer to the trade deadline or LDC.

I think you either keep hiding zach on the IR, or TE on the inactive list.

Poor ticats

They're not winning a game against anyone other than Ottawa with Dolegala this year

If you think the floor is high you should see the ceiling.

Case in point with holes..needing to be filled..this how brain dead osh is

We yanked a import olineman..one who took spot of an american who was taking reps in rotation...and replaced said lineman with a guy newest on team at a position we already overloaded with. His only role would be on ST but he didnt supplant any guy on special teams..a unit of which has been really good and yanking a guy would been pointless..and to be honest dumb.

So we DA'd a extra lb which we didnt need..never recorded a stat of any kind and I watched game 2x and never saw him take a snap..so dressed just for the sake of what?

Where we could have used a wr..which would have helped the offence..Put Jenkins back and see if he got the message..he'd have more impact than Korns meaningless snaps..and wouldn't have stood on sidelines all game...a db could have been added.. used in a kelly role..and be backup if one went down so we didnt have to double duty Vaval..wouldnt be an issue if we dressed earlier mentioned wr Singer...heck even could have left Mazz on and utilize him in jumbo/short yardage..and as depth as well...but nope...Osh does the pointless..most useless roster move possible...basically stupidest..and sadly thats not a shock

Someone here explain to me the thought process that went into that move and the benefits of it....good luck

Osh is just a tool more often than not

If Zach is healthy he will start, it’s the (current) Bomber way 😁. That being said, if Collaros is truly getting more and more brittle as time goes by (like one poster pointed out), maybe he’ll get injured right away again (happened 3 times last year so not far fetched) and Brown will just keep getting the starts. šŸ˜‰

Great arm no accuracy. Gotta get the ball in the hands of the playmakers.

Bombers would have lost the past two games with Collaros at the helm. He won just 11 games in 2024 and only six games in 2025 due to diminished arm strength and mobility, not to mention cumulative effect of concussions that impact a QBs processing time. Love Zach for his leadership of this club from 2019-2022. But the time has come to look ahead. Dru Brown better start vs Ottawa.

We ALL get more brittle as time passes and take longer to recuperate. Collaros is not unique in that. Lets assume that Collaros goes back in and gets racked up. Then his value as trade bait immediately drops to zero. How does putting your second best (but most expensive) QB out onto the field benefit anyone except maybe O'Shea's ego?

Watching Lawler last game, it's plain to see his numbers are headed for the dumpster, with the quarterbacking Ham has at the present..So it looks like the Cats have not only lost their starting qb, they have lost their no 1 receiver....How long before the pressure is on the Cats management to make a big move....I'm sure they have looked at our qb stable and see Collaros as a 'possibility'.....why wouldn't they considering the relationship he has/had with Kenny.....IF A VERY BIG if ...we pulled the trigger on a trade for Zack, we better be getting in return, a very high end player plus, that would make us instantly better....Long shot for sure BUT this is the CFL

Agreed. The TiCats could have won last night with at least average quarterbacking, but Dolegala missed so many throws that by the time the 4th quarter rolled around, the Hamilton receivers weren't even trying very hard. They knew they were scrooged with Dolegala behind center.

Why did we add Hazen to the AR? Did he play on ST's or spend the entire game on the bench? We had an opportunity to add another import receiver or DB in case we had an in game injury.

You are not alone in wondering about O'Shea's roster mangement, and many here have been for some time.

ZC for Stavros the Kat straight up.

Totally unlikely but fun to play this game.
