The festivities around the convention center and surrounding areas were well put together.

I didn't see any Bombers fans cross the line at all. Going to the GC in Regina the fans were way more hostile to Bombers fans than Bombers fans were to Riders fans this weekend.

Cringey too listening to the Riders fans boo Carney and yell obscenities any chance they got. But oh well, that's politics I suppose.

Other than that it was a well put on weekend, that's for sure

Serious question, am I the only one who felt last night felt like a Riders home game?

From where we sat the section was 50% Bombers fans, 25% riders fans, 25% misc.

Some of the Bombers fans cheered Riders, some Als. A bit of a mixed bag

Turned out to be a decent game.  Wrong team won, but they deserved it.

I’d say it was atleast close. Kinda ugly football.

I'm probably the only one on this board who was cheering for the Riders (or at least admits it). I can't stand Jason Maas or Alexander, plus I've lived in SK for years...but yeah, SK deserved it, they were the best team this year, and also today. Congrats to them.

Hopefully the Bombers  come back stronger in 2026.

Shame! lol. Mtl sure didn’t play like they wanted to win and didn’t deserve it with there effort.

Last time I saw Duthie was he was golfing with Kadri and Jeff o Neil and someone else on a tsn golf thing months ago.

Anyone else’s tv blackout throughout the game tho for 5 10 second intervals. Happened lots and it’s warm and calm so not the weather.  Could mean huge viewership.

That golf match was awful. Can't stand Kadri and my feed also blacked out several times.

It sucked to see Sask win but Harris seems like a class act and happy for Hardrick

Damn, the Riders winning it in our stadium is a low point of my Bomber fandom. Especially after the way the last 3 went, and how the offseason was handled coming into this year.
Got a big “it’s ok, we already got your money” vibe from the club this season.

This.  I never once got the sense that the on-field product was the most important thing for the club this year.  It felt like as long as we're still selling out, we're fine even though there were a number of things that could have been corrected in-season (Hogan being the most glaring example).

I've never once debated renewing my season tickets until this season and I'm still on the fence.  Most (if not all) of the people here have sat through terrible seasons before so it's not about only supporting the team when they are winning or expecting to be in GC every year but at least give me the impression you realize the team isn't good enough and are actively trying to get better.  I'm glad the club is doing well financially and all the work they have put into the gameday atmosphere is paying off but that doesn't mean a whole lot to me - I come for the football, not the Rum Hut.

The Riders winning here was just the cherry on a s**t sundae of a season.

In a year when they should have been going all in, we saw them do essentially the opposite. Even my dad, who finds the bright side in every loss, was baffled by their offseason when we talked about it yesterday,

It all came to down to that Als fumble at the goal line. If they score there, you've got a ball game.

I am a big believer in momentum and the role it plays within a game... Montreal hangs onto that pick 6 early and gets the early touchdown as well I see the game going entirely differently. Instead sask answers the one td and never gives up momentum again... until late when the als do start to come back but that goal line fumble just killed it. Can not be so careless with the ball in that situation.

For sure. There were a few potential turning point plays that went the Rider's way. Dropped pick 6, phantom PI on 3rd down, Als fumble on the goal line (looked like it was his own RB that clipped the ball too). Anyone of those going the other way and who knows how the game turns out.

I brought my four year old son to the activities around U of W and he was instantly turned in to a football fan. I found very well put together and enjoyable for the both of us. That type of stuff is just a instant CFL fan generator. My son insisted on watching the Grey Cup and now wants to play football around the house, go to games and watch more on TV. What a win for the team/league.

It was my first time attending Grey Cup festivities and it really highlighted how important the game and its history are to Canadians and Canada as a nation. It was really cool seeing the community of fans representing all the different areas of Canada coming together for the love of the game. Previously, I could never have seen myself attending a Grey Cup unless to Bombers were in it, but the whole atmosphere of the week has changed my mind.

I haven't had season tickets for some years, but I was considering getting them again once my son was old enough to appreciate the games. Unfortunately, I am incredibly disappointed with the direction the CFL is going with the rule changes, so it makes the decision not to get tickets next year a lot easier.

I need a mind wipe. Since I don't see any men in black, its alcohol for me.

Next time, try GHB. Faster and more reliable.
